hello everyone. i have quietly sat and read along in this forum since dylan went missing. i have kept myself up to date on any news media coverage. since i have a photographic memory i can pretty much say i know everything that has been released...
i am proud to be a member of the united states of america and i believe in the justice system. the american way has always been innocent until proven guilty. freedom of speech is also the american way. i can see how there is a "thin" line many of you walk while debating different theories here. i see no harm in a good debate as long as the facts are straight and no mud slinging slander is thrown around. i know most of you are probably thinking, "who is this newb and why should we even bother to read her post?". you should read my post because i was an outsider looking in and what i might have to say could prove some valid points. here are a few thoughts i have gathered since dylan went missing til now. i should also point out that these are JUST MY OPINIONS. it seems that is the common thing to do in these forums.
1. out of the dozens of cases nationwide that have happened within the past decade or two why is dylans case the only one to not receive as much/barely any media attention? why are the parents not pleading on a daily basis for dylans return? why has LE not addressed the media? it makes you wonder.... with that being said i can only conclude that LE is hiding some very important evidence OR they lack evidence and are at a stand still. i am leaning towards lack of evidence. they are no farther ahead today than they were 3 weeks ago.
2. every human will react to trauma different than the next. you cannot assume guilt or lack of guilt by how a person reacts. if your child went missing how would you act? its too horrible to even think about. MR and ER's actions or lack of actions should not be used as evidence against them at this point in time. i totally understand ER and her initial outbursts but that is basically "at the heat of the moment". she has since spoke with police and stopped waving an accusing finger. those were just the defensive actions of a normal mother freaking out. leave it for what it really is, there is no need to read too much in to that.
3. the cell phone! i have a 14 year old sister (yes i am more than twice her age) who always has her cell near her as well but its not attached to her dang hip! she can set it down or put it on a pocket. just this past thanksgiving she turned it off so she wouldnt be bothered while having thanksgiving dinner with all of us. it was no big deal. cell phones are important to many kids but its certainly not their blood and they will not die if they do not make a phone call or text. give them more credit. my sister doesnt reach for her phone as soon as she opens her eyes in the morning. she is too busy farting around. eating and probably watching tv! sound familiar?
4. unless LE is holding on to some vital clues than dylans friends should be investigated farther. those areas where his friends reside should also be processed. there are also quite a few vacation resorts/cabins of sorts. this is an area for those who vacation. i did not read anywhere that these places were searched inside and out. perhaps that would be a good place to search next.
until LE gives me good reason to suspect MR i will continue forming thoughts and theories that so not revolve around him. all of you here at this forum seem to really care about the safe return of this child and that is great! i would love nothing more than to see him walk through his parents door unharmed. im not sure of a good word to use here but i guess "tunnel vision" comes to mind. some of you here seem to have already made up your mind as to what has happened. maybe you are right. maybe you are wrong. i dont know. but i do know that i will continue to look at everything we (general public) have access to and i will try my best to work from to formulate what has happened. its very hard to form an opinion when barely any evidence has been presented to us.
it seems many people can agree to disagree here but atleast everyones heart is in the right place and THAT is finding dylan
