Can someone please tell me what is up with this?? I didn't hear the show- I read the captions- but did not transcribe it personally, so please do not tell me to watch it, didn't you hear --- , etc. I only have this to go by at the moment.

Unfortunately this is done in many cases.. why?.. (for this case specifically)..IMO its because some opinions are that MR is totally innocent(In the eyes of the law) and do not agree with the allowance of sleuthing and theorizing on possibilities of his involvement in Dylan's disappearance(but obviously this is not a court of law, nor do court standards apply when engaging in discussion on a MESSAGE BOARD) .. frustrated at the fact that the sleuthing and discussions of his involvement continue, IMO ER is attempted to be taken down the exact same path of sleuthing and discussing any negatives that can be found to attempt to somehow even the scoreboard..jmo..

make sense?..nope, it doesn't to me either tho, IMO I am able to clearly see the reason behind it being done..it doesn't make me in any way agree with it being done.. because the fact is as much as someone wants there to be an even/level playing field regarding MR and ER.. the fact is it is NOT LEVEL..NOR EVEN..AND NEVER WILL BE.. there is extremely good reason why one IS allowed by the rules for discussion and why one IS NOT and I'll certainly not waste space, breath, or time rehashing the obvious reasons why one is allowed and the other is not..

so, as I said Dylan's case is not unusual in the least in that regard due to the fact that it happens frequently in many cases where the opinions are split on who they believe is most likeliest involved and many times the opinion that falls on the side of the non sleuthable family member begin attempts at slipping in any negatives they can about the non sleuthable family member..

IMO that's exactly why it happens..jmo, tho

Some of you may recall that Desiree Young took some abuse on the boards for a while, from some posters, for various reasons, including giving up her two children to her exes, etc. It happens, even here at WS, at times. But it usually gets contained pretty quickly.

True, I remember that well. As I recall, it wasn't until info came out that she had a life threatening illness she had to be treated for and had no choice but to leave Kyron with his father while she was in treatment that people backed off. And even THEN, some people had reasons why they themselves would never do such a thing. :what:

Dylan's case reminds me of Kyron's in several ways and as a mom, when you trust someone else with the most precious thing in your life and something happens and there is absolutely nothing you can do, it has to be heart wrenching on so many levels. I feel so horrible for Desiree and for Elaine.

I've been looking at Dylan's facebook profiles... it's been discussed on multiple occasions that he has at least two "main" profiles.. I know Marc Klass addressed this on Tricia's show Sunday night.

It looks like he really used these 2 profiles as they have well over 100 friends, "liked" pages, etc. I can't see any posts or pics but they seem functional otherwise.

A few observations from these pages--

- He "likes" those "Call of Duty" games (Black Ops, Modern Warfare 2), Madden NFL Superstars, City of Wonder Game, Texas Hold Em Poker --- Wondering if he connected with people while playing these games online or on game systems...



Some other "likes" on his profile pages:
- XFinity (mentioning this as it might be mom's TV/home phone/internet company?)
-McDonald's (I want to see the Mc'Ds video footage! if it exists)
- He "likes" a product/page called "BillMyParents" which is a prepaid/reloadable Mastercard for kids age 13+ over. It looks like the card is trackable (the parent can log in to see if it's been used and where) so ER may have used this for Dylan at some point, but I'm sure this would've been mentioned if there was any activity. Interesting nonetheless as I'd wondered if he had any money with him.
- Ted (movie... that's raunchy for a 13 year old)
- I hate Justin Bieber (not relevant to finding Dylan but he has good taste)


I found this interesting:
* He's "friends" with 11 profiles -- all look to be fake names/profiles. No pictures. Empty profiles. They're all linked/friends with each other and only each other. The names sound made up (speculation on my part).

---> 2 are "Dylan Redwine"
---> 1 is "Dylan Dredwine"
---> Initials for other profiles are "SD", "SS", "TS", "BS", "ZM", "WL", "GH", JH"


I can only speculate on what I'm seeing but it looks like these could be profiles Dylan created for whatever reason.. Each of the 11 profiles only has 1-3 friends (only the other "made up" profiles). Maybe he never used them, maybe he used them for gaming, maybe he talked to someone on them, maybe it's insignificant. I don't really know but it caught my eye.

I remember when that aired. It was confirmed in MSM earlier that same day that the fishing pole/rod was not Dylans.

I find myself daily wondering how the text message to Elaine from Mark informing her Dylan was missing was worded.

There is SOOOO much we do not know. Every possibility deserves consideration, without bias. Everyone sees things through their own lens, often based on their own past experiences. I hope that does not obstruct finding Dylan. Come home, sweetheart.

Friend requests can simply be them accepting his request from ages ago. IMO

I can only speak for the family code in my state, and here, it is a standard injunction that parties not drink before or during periods of possession. All you have to do is ask for it, and judges will usually grant it without needing to hear evidence. I believe it is fair to assume that Colorado does the same. If anyone is more curious, it's probably very easy to access the Colorado Family Code online through a simple Google search.

Wow I have seen no dragging her name through the mud or vicious attacks on ER-that is really strange and not up to Websleuths standards at all. Very bizarre-they must have been deleted before I saw them. My only complaint was her going to media to finger him, but only because that can or has hindered investigations before which can be very delicate. So, I understand in spirit why she did that, but hope that nothing she said affected the investigation negatively in any roundabout way.

Ultimately, Dylan is the goal here and what is important and I hope everyone remembers that.

I understand that there was some dismay about mom's statement about her fears regarding dad's involvement.. I personally believed it to be her honest view of the situation..whether right or wrong that she chose to express it in the media IMO isn't for me to decide.. my opinion on the possibility that the statement would have somehow hindered or negatively impacted the investigation is that no, it in no way negatively impacted the investigation..jmo..

IMO ER had already long since expressed those views to LE way before ever stating them publicly.. IMO I believe just the opposite in that if mom had such strong opinions about dad possibly being involved And for whatever reason did NOT share those opinions with the LE heading up the investigation in her son's disappearance..<-- That IMO would have been detrimental to the investigation ..jmo.

I mean the whole entire reason that LE does such thorough interviews of the immediate family members at the initial stage of the investigation IS TO LEARN AREAS OF CONCERN THAT MAY BE AT PLAY OR PRESENT in the missing persons life.. this is a key part of developing a direction in which to take the investigation..again jmo..

As far as dragging through the mud my post immediately above yours did not use or mean attacking/dragging thru the mud...much different it expressed my opinion about "sleuthing" the family member that has been deemed off limits and that split opinions at times cause that line to be pushed regarding the parent that's off limits... now, while pushing that line at times does result in mud slinging ...it however was not the focus of my particular post..

I agree with you that the mods have done a great job in keeping Dylan's threads on track and anything questionable is immediately zapped..ABOVE ALL ELSE DYLAN BEING FOUND IS THE GOAL AND I WITHOUT DOUBT BELIEVE EVERYONE HERE IS OF THAT OPINION..more so than anything my post is a general..across the board observation of mine involving tons of cases and in seeing this issue arise in many of them..all in all just saying that the issue is not unusual and IMO is just all part of a thorough public discussion of these multi faceted cases with varying different opinions expressed throughout..

These avenues have been discussed and considered more than once in different capacities on these threads and by LE.
They've asked for video footage by visitors, these businesses and territory were likely covered in the initial canvass area, the vallecitolakechamber.com website was posted and frequented here quite a bit during the first several days and threads... it's a great website and starting place with maps, as you posted links to vacation destinations, information on weather, other local tourist destinations, etc.
There was discussion about getting guest lists, trying to find pictures and video posted online, so forth and so on. Examined the terrain through maps of that area, considered that it was Thanksgiving weekend so who might be there that week, who might not be there that week, what buildings might be vacant, would locals hear noises or notice a child by themselves in early morning hours...
There's a lot we can revisit but there was a good deal looked at early on before attention was shifted elsewhere. IMO we're still wating for something, anything from LE to give us an idea of where to look or where not to look but it's been very quiet... IMO.

I suppose everything was taken to the CBI lab in Denver. I have no idea how long it takes to process "stuff". Some other cases, it's been months of waiting. I wish they would hurry up and tell us something.

I don't think anyone would have advised her not to share those opinions with LE-now that would be silly.
My only qualms with running to the media is that I have, firsthand, seen that hurt cases before. I am not trying to criticize her because I may do the same thing in a flight of emotions when I want my son with me, but there are legitimate reasons why immediate finger-pointing in/to the media can hurt cases.
It probably made no difference in this specific instance, but that doesn't mean I think that every family member of every missing person would be well-advised to run to media today and finger who they think might have done it. I think that might end up harming as many cases as it helps especially in the very delicate, beginning moments of a case. I see it is much more common for that to happen when a case is on its way to becoming cold probably for a lot of obvious reasons.

Of course, we can just agree to disagree. It would be a lot more interesting for us Websleuthers if families did openly accuse and finger who they think might have done it in every case right away though.

But Allusonz the entire stranger in the vicinity has been discussed(and any who want to continue to discuss it are free to continue the discussion).. the fact that there are many cabins and vacation type rentals has been brought up and discussed..along with the fact that it was the week of a Holiday which the disappearance occurred.. the possibilities of it being someone who was staying in the area temporarily has been discussed..or that it was someone just passing through..

Also discussed was the fact that a home in the near vicinity was up for sale and possibilities surrounding that issue were brought up and discussed...

There have been avenues discussed thoroughly that any of us involved In earlier threads could think of..sleuth out and discuss.. we did and there are hundreds and hundreds of posts in earlier threads that are proof positive these discussions were thoroughly sought out..looked into..and sleuthed as much as we possibly could..

Now does that mean that they cannot continue to be discussed or readdressed and looked at by others?.. absolutely not..it has been encouraged REPEATEDLY for these other avenues to be discussed by anyone interested in doing so..

But let it be clear that THE EXACT POSSIBILITIES AND THEORIES that you above mention along with slew of others have been THOROUGHLY DISCUSSED by many of us in earlier threads so to say that these possibilities have never been considered is just inaccurate..

ETA: my use of capitals is NOT to indicate yelling..screaming..or any other negative connotation ..much different as has been addressed on many occasions is purely used in place of NOT BEING ABLE TO BOLD..
