Nah I wanted to ask a question. Maybe I can ask here.
We will find out now !

I was wondering if the ' sally so n so' comments below that story
that caused all the uproar yesterday could be verified by a reporter.
I was wondering if it was ok to take those comments and ask a
local whose covering the story if they know of or if any of those
statements could be true. Looks like lunacy but if true, very
interesting stuff indeed. So I just didn't know how to go about
verifying, even though it's likely a waste of time.

if..big IF... it was printed (main stream media) you could discuss it... otherwise we need to put the kibash on it.

They could have gotten Dylans scent from the truck he sat in!
Dont ya think?

Or was that truck wiped down detailed was that an errand Dad had that morning, to wash his truck!
that would be interesting wouldnt it.

remember Summer Inman the family was seen at the car wash.

WOW ! Never thought of that option.

And here's one just because............. Upon hearing MR worked for a 'pipe' company, did anyone else get a little small 'ugh' at the back of their throat ?

I am not sarx but I have never heard of a dog using a car as a scent item. :twocents:

You would think...but they would probably argue of contamination of scent there also (since I'm sure other people have sat there)

Well It is a possibility!
LE has not said anything about MR's travels that day,

The dog would pick up Dylans scent and then could pick up that same scent in Dads house if Dylan was there. Other crimes when scent dogs are used have other scents on and around the scent they are looking for why is this one different?
They would still be able to pick up the scent.

Same with fingerprints, Just because other prints are there does not mean you cant get one.

They can pick up the scent anyway because ER brought in items of Dylan's for that specific reason. Scent articles

IIRC, they didn't have anything with a clear scent on it, which is why ER had to bring items of clothing with her.

This doesn't imply that Dylan was never there, it just means there was nothing with a CLEAR scent on it. As the couch he was sleeping on likely had other people on it before, and there were no unwashed items of clothing at his house, there was nothing with a non-contaminated scent on it. Dylan primarily lives with ER, so it makes sense that she would be more likely to have an article of clothing (or something similar) that would have Dylan's clear scent on it (ie. only Dylan's scent would be picked up on it), seeing as he primarily lives with her.

JMO :moo:

But there is an article which states (not exact but close) that there are articles of clothing Dylan left behind.

What I'm thinking is, even if you're going to wear the clothes you wore the day before, what things will you change? Your socks and underwear right? So there should have been something of Dylans left for the scent dogs to use. (imo)

the seat! Not the car!
the carpet on the floor. where he placed his back pack.

Dylan was in that car Yes?
they should be able to get his scent there and track it to the house.

I'm not trying to argue here, but I would love to see a link to this article. I didn't think this was a confirmed fact just heresay

yes, I am saying the seat would not be useful to a SAR dog imhoo. I will ask sarx to weigh in.
