No. We have absolutely no reason to believe that Dylan wasn't happy in the new location. In fact, we have heard just the opposite.

Or he only had the friend's cell number and the friend had bad reception which only worked with texts at that time of day (or all day).

The thing is, to make sense out of this situation, we have to twist and contort every circumstance. " Maybe his phone died and then the charger didn't work and there was no reception and he didnt know the computer password, and on and on. Just seems too weird to have so many explanations necessary for something to be described.

A neighbor who knows Dylan told police he saw the boy walking along a road in Vallecito the afternoon he went missing but thought nothing of it until hearing the police reports.

Do you remember the interview with Hesse, the family friend. She said in one of her first interviews, that everyone was really surprised that he hadn't called and asked about getting a ride. I think if a bunch of kids were getting together, there was probably at least one adult somewhere that was supervising them. Maybe not every minute.But I think he would have at least called to say he missed his ride.

I'm sorry, but she's said a lot of things that conflict with quotes from other sources. I prefer the quotes from his friends themselves, but that doesn't mean they're the truth either.

I thought he has settled and was happy in his new home and he is 13 so it would not of taken him long to make new friends IMO !

Has there been anything to say that Dylan was unhappy in his new home and location ??

But I also think he would have been just as happy to stay where he grew up around all the friends he'd made over the years. He probably wasn't too keen to start with to leave his friends and school.

I've only heard specifically that the two boys with backpacks and one of the joggers were ruled out, but I may have missed something. I don't search for news items every day. I guess that means the sighting in my mind is a definite maybe.

The other thing is, all of those things do happen. Nobody thinks of them as coincidences if nobody ends up disappearing; then it's just lousy luck. MOO

According to the administrator of the official FB, that sighting has been debunked. Apparently there is a local boy who looks a lot like Dylan. But they figured out he was the one being spotted.

I don't have access to TxJan's Timeline right now because I'm on a different computer but I thought all initial sightings of who they thought was Dylan were later discounted.

I don't have access to TxJan's Timeline right now because I'm on a different computer but I thought all initial sightings of who they thought was Dylan were later discounted.

The one by the postal worker was, but I don't remember ever reading that the one by the neighbor was.

ETA: I guess according to katydid, maybe it was, I know I haven't read every statement written everywhere about the case.

Of course it could. But one of those parents is estranged from their 3 older sons. And the other parent has actually been doing the daily work of raising them. So I think it shows which parent has been the most committed to their kids.

we also know at least one of those estranged sons from MRs previous marriage is in touch with his younger brothers.

I wonder if both the mothers are in touch with each other and what the feelings are of the first wife about both MR and ER.

True. Maybe Dylan just had really bad luck that day, and couldn't find a way to contact any friends or family. Then the first and only person he runs across that morning, goes and abducts him.

Apparently the first wife had some comments similar to the ones ER made, on Nancy Graces FB page. [ on the section that has Dylan wearing the suit..]

I believe both of MR's exes are friends on FB, but I don't know about MH's. All of the kids seem to like Cory and Dylan though.

There was an announcement on the official FB that ' the sightings' were actually that other local kid. It did not say which sightings, but the boy is from Vallecito, so it probably referred to the one in the neighborhood as well. JMO

we don't know what Dylans thoughts about the move were, but if there had been ongoing drama most kids would love to move away to stop it
