But if he did it then of course he is going to come across like that . Actions speak louder than words and it would seem he is not close to any of his children and one of them has had a psyical fight him with dad .

If he is completely innocent then he had the worst luck ever on Monday as IMO something does not ring true about his story on what happened .

Actions do speak louder than words and I think he has done everything LE has asked him to do and has fully cooperated with them. Even joining in searching for his son along with LE and the other searchers. He also just had Dylan with him in September. It seems he sees him on holiday breaks.

From what I have read this is a man who is away from home a lot through the year with his job. Just because he doesnt get to see Dylan often never means he doesnt love him though and I think he does, imo.

Also as someone grows older they can realize how much their children really mean to them.

I dont think he has any worse luck than any other parents who has had to endure the pain when their child is missing. Dont you think Mark and the Lunsford grandparents, Steve Greone, Van Dams, Thompson, Ridgeway, Smarts and others had the worst luck imaginable when they had missing children?

IMO

who is saying that his one tiny lash out indicates guilt?

I have said that although I am suspicious I am still on the fence.

I've tried looking at various other possibilities, but I can't in all honesty rule MR out.

IMO his prior history leads me to think that his anger is caused by a combination of factors coming together. Alcohol being one of those factors.

No one has come out and stated it flat out, but it's been implied by a few, IMO.

Does he have any history or allegations that he has been physically abusive to his children? I know that the mom said she thought he wasn't very nice to Dylan, so what exactly does that mean? That fight that is mentioned so often, sounds like to me he's the one who got beat up, not the other way around.

We don't know for a fact that he has a problem with alcohol. But even so, it doesn't automatically make him a murderer. I think it takes a special kind of stupid and/or crazy to kill your own child. That's JMO, of course, but he sure doesn't seem to be that kind, to me.

We are not all going to agree, of course, and that's fine. I don't care who's right or wrong, I just wish Dylan could be found, and this could all be over.

Got to go for awhile. Back later.

Thanks, but the excerpt you quoted says it is used in Japan. Doesn't sound like it's used here much, if at all. JMO, of course, since I didn't click on any links. Sorry, have to run in a few minutes.

I think it's not very widely used anywhere because the requirements are more demanding. You need to know what happened and be sure that innocent people aren't aware of what happened and can't guess based on what they know and in many crimes this just isn't true. However, if it was done right I think I would probably trust it more than the usual procedure.

It was developed in the University of Minnesota if geography makes a difference.

But this has nothing to do with Dylan.

JMO-I still want to know about that iPod. Maybe it's just me, but MR doesn't seem like an iPod type of guy. I'm very, very curious about whether or not the one that was reportedly taken from the home was ever confirmed to belong to Dylan. More to the point, I'd like to know if they were able to extract computer forensics from it.

I am curious as to where the Ipod being taken came from. Why have they not released any info as to anything else being taken? I have wondered what was taken out of the house, but have not seen any reports. tia

This morning I watched a video of a past news report where the reporter said that two trucks and an ipod were taken. Lemme see if I can find the link...

I was thinking of other scenarios for Dylan missing and thought maybe MR took Dylan's, phone away Sunday night and told him he was not going to spend time with his friends that week. For Dylan to say "I understand " Monday morning is odd to me. Kids would only say that if someone was angry at them asking if he understood what they were saying in MO. MR may have told him to not leave the house while he was gone and did HE UNDERSTAND. He then could have taken the land line phone with him so that he couldn't call his mom and complain. Dylan then took off on his own and while walking someone stopped and asked if he needed a ride and who knows what went on from there. I just can't remove MR for his involvement in why Dylan is missing.

To me, when MR said that DR said he understood, it could have been as simple as this:

MR has to leave in order to make his appts.. DR is still crashed on the couch.

MR: Dylan are you getting up? I thought you wanted a ride to your friends?

DR: .. mmmm

MR: Dylan, I've got to go, I'll be back around 11 and will work on getting you to your friends then.

DR: ... mmmmm

MR: Do you hear me? Did you understand what I said?

DR: .. Yes.

Then if he pushed him one more time ... Do you understand?

DR: .. I UNDERSTAND.

______________________________

Later when translating he says (paraprased) "I told him I had to go and would be back at 11 and he said he understood."

I will say this, though, truck drivers are pretty "up" on technology that involves listening. They spend all day driving, and can't pack all their CD's and books. They often have subscriptions to places that are like netflix, but for audiobooks and/or music, so they can have a variety of books and music on hand for those long roads. The less techy ones (or ones with extensive CD collections already) go with apple and use itunes because it's easier. More costly, but easier.

JMO, but I wouldn't at all be surprised if it were MR's. Aside from that, if it's an ipod touch or something with a mapping program, they may have taken it to do tech-forensics to see if it had any GPS data stored. Who knows what their reasoning was- but they did say that the search inside is home was not helpful to the investigation so I'm thinking maybe it showed little. Unless it was in his car, who knows. And now I'm rambling.

I don't understand why they stopped searching the lake, since cadaver dogs hit there.
How does LE just dismiss that and move on?

You know, that's a very good point. I hadn't considered his occupation. It very well could belong to him. Thanks for that :)

It could belong to him- but it is illegal to drive with headphones in your ears, so it would have to be for work, rec purposes

You can run an Ipod in the car through your car speakers, without headphones.

Yep, in the newer car we purchased used this year (it's a 2010), there is actually a built-in receptacle for one's iPod, or similar MP3 devices.

No, they use an auxiliary cable and plug it into the truck's internal speaker system.

Respectfully snipped:

I'm hopeful, with nothing at all to back it up, that they mean nothing immediately helpful and that we're waiting for items (including the trucks) to be processed. Again, nothing to back it up, jmo.

I hope something breaks somewhere, and quick. I'd rather the break not be from MR, just because that basically means all hope is lost and Dylan experienced the ultimate break of trust.

Something has got to give, though. :please:

I do also really really wish they'd specify on the trucks, I really want to know what they show.

Because they don't have any information that connects the lake to Dylan.
