I don't understand why they stopped searching the lake, since cadaver dogs hit there.
How does LE just dismiss that and move on?

The police have done helicopter flyovers of the lake each week since the search. Last week they said it was to look for any changes since the initial search.

This past Sunday, some of the volunteers including D Hess did a search that involved walking around the entire lake on the shores.

Sounds like they are looking for anything that may have washed up on the shore. Does anyone know what kind of helicopter. Is it LE? tia

I did see a pic on FB of the helicopter. It may have been on the FB which is now closed. It was a ground shot that showed most of the under belly IIRC. I dont recall seeing anything to indicate if it was LE or not. Anyone remember?

They must feel like either Dylan :( ......or his backpack is in that lake .

Yes, I saw the helicopter on the closed FB. I noticed how low it was flying, but that is all. It seemed obvious how low it was flying that it was regarding the search for Dylan IMO.

Because they don't have any information that connects the lake to Dylan.

they had the chopper up flying over the lake a couple of days ago for about 30 minutes, theon what I read it seems they completed two circuits of the lake.

Yes, I have to agree, I think LE is way in over the top of there heads in this case, they haven't had a child go missing is so long(or at all)...leading the investagation in the wrong directions, and letting good evidence to go the way side, because they haven't done this type of thing before. They

As far as the poly I know why they don't want them to talk about it, but to be honest the dang thing won't hold up in court so the stupid test doesn't matter either way. So to tell them not to talk about it is just down right silly. I do however have a feeling that there attorney said not to talk about it.

I agree that LE may be over their heads, it seems to me that their first reaction was that Dylan was a runaway. They would have treated it as such based on the information given by both MR & ER. Nothing wrong with that at all. A child reported as a runaway is going to be treated differently than a child reported abducted. Opportunities may have been missed or overlooked.

MR said that LE had already searched his house once (this was before the "big" search) IMO, they could've just gone in and had a quick look-see and left.

They used sonars and divers on a couple of occasions. It appears they tried to search it thoroughly.
imo

It's a huge, deep lake .. there is no way to search it thoroughly "on a couple of occasions" .. or ever really.

I guess they had to weigh the cost against any real evidence that he was ever there.

I think it nags at them too and they check back every week or so to see if anything has surfaced...

imo

IIRC was it not stated in MSM that divers could only stay down so long? Due to cold water?

what other areas of water are around the area? including Durango and Bayfield areas

I know there's the Animas river
Lemon
Nighthorse

I can't recall any others offhand. IIRC they did check Lemon at some stage

I haven't heard of any other lakes being checked

I have had a very bad feeling about water from the start. It began with the missing fishing pole/rod. I look at it 2 different ways. Dylan was fishing and putting in time while waiting for Dad and someone came upon him. And then there is the "other theory". IIRC was the searched lake not a distance from the house? And other fishing spots closer?

Have they used any SAR dogs in The search for Dylan?

Is the FBI still on the case\? It shouldn't be over their heads I would think. jmo
