Could you give us an idea of what you base your opinion on? Thanks. Just curious.

I think he has anger and alcohol issues based on
what has been released about the fights and drunkeness.
I know someone like this and know what they can do.
When I look at MR I see this person I know and its not a fond memory!

I do believe his ex wives!
I do believe hs sons.
There is something very wrong in this family and even a missing child cant fix it.

I dont see MR as many of you do sorry.

What did MR mean in the video when he said on the first plane trip he had a round trip ticket? Did he mean to say a non stop flight? Surely he had a round trip ticket this time but if not that's a major red flag!

How did they have time to talk about plans for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday but no time to talk about his new house?

Maybe this has been mentioned before (I have a hard time keeping up with everything) but if Dylan was to meet his friends at 6:30am why did MR not try to wake him until 7:30? Or did he try to wake him before 6:30 with no luck and then try again later?

Knowing that there are limitations on discussions here, for those who aren't looking at MR, can you explain your theory to the best of your ability?

Instead of rejecting any mention of MR, what are some main focuses?

Of course, stay within TOS but I'm wondering things like .. if it's an RSO or an unregisted sick random SO, we can guess the motive.

If it's someone known to Dylan, then what? Is one person involved? Multiple people? What was the goal, what's the gameplan? Was this all part of the plan? What do you think is happening or going wrong? Is Dylan safe, hurt, hidden away, alive? What's the theory here?

I'm really interested in hearing realistic alternatives in trying to keep my own mind open.

A child is missing!
Dont you believe they need to rule out and clear the last known person to be with this child?
I dont care if its Dad, Mom a friend a neighbor a teacher .............clear him ....
Then Move on.

Wish I could but there is no way to put any ideas I have here with TOS as it is. If I do, I get a TO. Such things are off limits and I can't go there or I will go the way of others who tried.

I can't get past the fact that Dylan's phone somehow quit working around 8 pm or broke but whichever....no activity and this is never mentioned by Mark...even after the information was released by LE

I can't get past the fact that there was NO communication or contact from Dylan after the phone mystery.

I can't get past the fact that dad's story goes from walmart/out to eat to the next morning. What the heck happened from 8 pm on? Did Dylan make it back to the house?

I can't get past the fact that LE can't/won't say if Dylan did make it to Mark's house. I can't get past the face that LE can't/won't say if the dogs picked up Dylan's scent at his dad's house and where did that scent lead?

I can't get past the fact that dad was the last one to see Dylan.....

Until LE releases more information or a break in the case happens, I can't honestly take my eyes off dad.

I'm so glad I read your whole post, which ITA with btw, because otherwise out of context I might've been slightly disturbed by that last comment (*cue Frank Sinatra song)
Take your eyes off dad!! lol

Do you think he's hurt? Okay? Not sure?

If you can't answer, I understand.

Has there been any kind of public plea, on MSM news stations like ABC, NBC, CBS or FoxNews about Dylan's disappearance??? Out here, usually when a child is missing, Mom gets on the news in front of cameras and pleads for the safe return of her child. I've seen the NG stuff and I've seen where the disappearance was aired out of the New Mexico station, but has there been any where Mom is in front of the camera on main news stations asking for information or pleading for whoever knows anything about her son to please return him??

I bet there were plenty of D's friends that were having big family dinners that would have loved D and his Dad to join them. If he was planning to spend Mon and Tuesday with his friends, I bet someone would have extended an invitation.

My point is that dad said he could hang with friends mon and tuesday and they all do something wed, but Thanksgiving was for them to be alone together. That just seems odd because THanksgiving is all about gathering together. JMO

Taking Dylan away from his extended family & friends in CS so he could spend the holidays with his dad doesn't seem fair to Dylan and I don't see any good in it.

She was on GMA. I think someone on here mentioned FOX News, I don't know if that was just his story if it featured ER. This story has definetly not picked up much nationally. Nothing from dad nationally. Only ER so far. I wonder if they were both approached to go on any given show if they would opt to. Or if there would be excuses or reasons not to. Or if they'd accept and speak out for Dylan.

Ok !
So who do you think?
Family member?
Neighbor?
Stranger?

Did MR lock the door before he left?
Was it still locked when he got home?
there are so many questions and no answers for us anyway!

The door being locked or unlocked is a huge question for me... I guess it would have been stated as a break in if it was a break in, but there is a big question for me when MR came home.

Again, we are all able to see things so differently. I watch that interview ( the "uncut" one that clearly is cut) every time someone else references it, just to see what I have missed - and I honestly don't see anything sinister. To me he seems like a dad who is just holding it together. He is red eyed, tired and drawn looking, and sounds sincere to me. I fear none of us would fare very well if we had our every word and nuance ( in one clip) dissected, quoted and analysed in such depth, and by so many.
I'm still preferring to look at what little is actually known and consider possibilities that don't point towards MR. What I am seeing are comments everywhere (not just here) that are based on the presumption that it's all about MR - even though IMO there is no real evidence or clues leading to anyone. MOO, but surely he can't just be guilty by default.
IMO a lot of things that have been tossed around as suggestions/ opinions have somehow morphed into facts. I have read them myself repeatedly and squirmed, and wondered how they have come to be quoted or tossed out there and simply accepted as known facts.
I keep checking in here because like everyone else I really want some news about Dylan, or something from LE to discuss - and I know new info makes it to these boards very quickly thanks to interested posters and their links. :) Right now I feel I've run out of puff though - it's become hard work for me because I am so uncomfortable. I can't get past the notion that we have no real evidence that MR is not a grieving dad.
:moo:

This vid breaks my heart. Everything about this case does. Where are you, Dylan?

The one thing I can say about this video is that at least we can see him smile. We see him having a good time, and enjoying time with friends, and having what seems to be a dancing blast...it breaks my heart, but it also allows me to see a side of Dylan that many here are saying he might not of had, somewhat of a normal childhood.

As i look forward to Christmas I dread it for those who love Dylan. Come home Dylan :please:

Exactly my point, you are being interviewed for tv concerning your missing child and she asked him once what he would say to Dylan and once to say anything, it's his platform, and NOT ONCE did MR say anything that remotely sounded or could be believed to be a plea for the safe return of his son, NOT ONCE did he say, hey I didn't do anything, I don't give a sh#% what my ex says, yeah she's hurting, I get that, but she's full of sh#% and I'm hear to tell you that. Whoever has Dylan, they need to let him go, drop him off somewhere safe and leave. Dylan, if you can see this, we are searching for you, we will never give up.

Everything, every interview, everything is about MR not Dylan. MR tells you the same ole same ole and even that changes, but he has never ONCE said that he is out looking for the SOB that took his son, heck no, he's staying at home in case he calls or comes back. Dylan is 13, if he can get to a phone he's going to call 911 because chances are he doesn't have #'s memorized.

I feel like I must have missed other interviews with MR. I am only aware of the brief one after the vigil, and the one labelled "uncut".
I understand your history with MR, and am really just bouncing off your post as you have mentioned things that have been discussed here a fair bit previously.

Maybe it only happens on tv, but aren't most parents of missing children asked to stay at home and by the phone initially? The theory that perhaps Dylan wouldn't known friends or families phone numbers off by heart if his own phone had indeed died permanently wasn't accepted as believable by many here (even though some of us admitted this would be the case if our own phones stopped working). Everything MR has done or continues to do is held up as proof of his involvement at this point. When he joined in the search - he was injecting himself into the investigation. When he made a comment about his ex wife being his problem he was "lashing out" - and when he says he is understanding of her anger, he is criticised for that. He was at fault for not describing exciting plans for Thanksgiving, yet the paraphrased mention of the visit to Fenway Park in August is being doubted and questioned as being not possible.

I believe MR would have given LE a detailed description of what happened at home on Sunday evening. Why haven't those details been published? Perhaps the unloading of the groceries, bathroom visits, chit chat with a tired and/or cranky boy, etc, just don't make good reading? I don't recall seeing the question asked in the two filmed interviews I have watched over and over.

I still think Dylan's phone may have died on Sunday evening. Died as in stopped working, placed on the charger but to no avail, so not just a flat battery - and this wasn't probably noticed until Dylan got up the next morning. Or if the phone was just out of charge - possibly a cord knocked out of place and still not charged by morning. I can't tell you how often this happens at my place. Either the charger plug is half hanging out of the socket, or the usb cord has been bumped and pulled out from my old dearly departed laptop. Heck every computer in my house treats the usb charger cord differently - mine worked even if the laptop was shut down completely, yet one of my boys laptops has to be physically turned on for the charger to work. All MOO of course, but I wonder if the combination of being ticked off with dad, phone problems, missing his ride etc, all led to Dylan grabbing his gear and heading out determined to make his own way to his friends.

I dont for one second think LE wants the public to forget this.
I do think its next to impossible to find a needle in a Haystack.

I dont think LE thinks he was abducted. JMO

I don't want to believe LE wants us to forget. I do suspect it, however. :(

Agreed, no sadness at all, this is your son and you don't break down even once? The constant shaking his head 'no' is VERY disturbing.

R - Do you have anything directly to say to Dylan?
MR - Dylan my prayers are with you and I love you very much. He's the light of my life and he meant everything to me and I just want him home just like everyone else does. And and that's why we gotta keep searching for him because somebody knows something, we gotta find him and we gotta know that he's ok.
R - ............This is your platform today you can use this to get any message out that you want.
MR - I know. And I, I don't want the focus to be mainly on me, I want the focus to remain on Dylan cause that's where, that's the most important thing right now and you know if in the process of what's going on with the authorities and people handling this is to search my home, all they needed to do was ask, I would've willingly let them come in and do it. .................

I find it interesting when he shakes his head no and when he starts to break down (not really he just does that pretend cry)

"We were just focusing on the next day and how that was gonna take place"
Also, in the interview he says that Dylan wasn't the type of kid to get up at 630 if he doesn't have to but his friends are important.

So, if throughout the interview MR indicates that Dylan's friends are important to him and he planned on him seeing his friends, he was going to see his friends the next day, then why would he wait until 730 to try to wake him up?

It's hard to put into words exactly why that interview and other's seem off to me but I suppose I liken it to someone giving stock answers that would seem like the right thing to say instead of speaking genuinely from the heart about how this has affected them and how fearful they are for their child. And the calm gentle demeanor just doesn't fit with the criminal history and seemed to be very controlled, like he was trying not to show any anger. He should be angry. Very angry at whomever has taken his child.

And then the rest just seems vague or makes little sense....like word salad. Who posted that? That is my new favourite catch phrase. It is perfect to describe just filling in words and cliches and basically rambling on without really saying anything.

MOO

Me. lol a phrase i use loosely as it does have a richer meaning in the field of psychology lol. Glad somebody else noticed the "word salad" and "filler". Something i just noted early in.

May I ask, was there mention of drug use for MR? I ask because this too might give another idea to lean towards. Not for MR, but maybe drug dealers, users, and so forth...they did have a man in Durango go missing, he has yet to be found...but other man was found with that fellows truck dead, they believe it to be drug related.....so maybe a new thing to look at.
