reminder: every opinion is allowed and is valuable here at websleuths. If you don't agree with another poster move on. The discussion is NOT about one another. It is about Dylan. Thanks so much everyone.

I really, really hope they are just waiting on a few last results or something because I can't stand thinking this case could go cold. Dylan was cruelly ripped away from a mother and big brother that clearly cherished him. It is time for him to be found and the evil person responsible for taking him needs to answer for his crimes.

Me too. This one has really grabbed us.

Well I hope they're not waiting on a confession. 'Cause that's not happening. (imo)

Agree. If MR is involved he would have achieved exactly what i believe the motive to be. I cant imagine losing a child and the added of never knowing.

Yeah... its just heart wrenching. I wish the person who made Dylan vanish would do the right thing. Dylan needs to be returned. :please:

That is the cruelest part. If Dylan isn't found Elaine will not only have to spend the rest of her life wondering where he is, she will also carry the added burdens of fearing her baby was sacrificed for the sole purpose of punishing her and the knowledge that she put him on a plane <modsnip>

Feels like my hope is diminishing as days go by. Will this be another cold case :banghead: Could they still be waiting on forensics? Sigh.......

THat would be encouraging, but what kind of forensics do you think they could be waiting on? tia

Wish i did know. Seems LE doesn't want us to know. Either way.

I can't imagine that thy are waiting on forensics at this point. If so, there is a real problem with priority, IMO.

I think LE is just doing what they do;looking over the original interviews, trying to see if they missed anything, clearing as many RSO's as possible, etc.

I don't think they have anything to point them in one direction or another. Without important new info or a confession, I don't see how the case can move forward at all.

It's just that I have not heard of anything being found or anything taken from house or trucks. I thought maybe I had missed something. ty

Agree. Sadly. I keep hanging on to waiting on forensics. Your right as too much time has passed.

I think there was an article stating nothing came from whatever they did take from the house. Yet I haven't read anything to date as to the results of the trucks.

New article:

"Task force still investigating tips in case of missing 13-year-old Dylan Redwine":

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/state-news/task-force-still-investigating-tips-in-case-of-missing-13-year-old-dylan-redwine

I wonder if the task force has been scaled back or if they still have the same resources and man power as they did from the beginning.

"In the past couple weeks, we conducted spot searches using a helicopter related to one tip and a bloodhound in another," Bender said.
However, Bender said neither tip led to anything new in the case.

We knew about the 'failed' bloodhound search, but it's good that they're following up with seemingly precise action on tips. I wonder if such tips are credible and consistent with other information they have to lead them to specific areas. Or are there so few tips that they act on anything that's reported.

It feels like we're really in the dark... I can only hope LE has more light on this case than we do.

The discussion rules have been relaxed but that does not mean you can outright accuse him.

All opinions are welcome, please don't talk about being on one team or another. We all want the same thing... Dylan to be found safe and brought home!!!

please note what is in red in the mod warning at the start of this thread. All other rules are also at the start of the thread. Just a gentle reminder.

I'm afraid that without a confession or a body this will become yet another case where LE knows who is responsible but are unable to prove it. I didn't really expect the search of the house to turn up anything but I was holding on to a sliver of hope that maybe the truck or Mark's clothes from Sunday evening would reveal something.

I'm not waiting on a confession and I don't think police are either.

<modsnip>.

:toast: Maybe we'll get an alert bartender who will pretend to be impressed.

MOO

I'm waiting for him to brag. Gloat. Get drunk and spill the beans. Occasionally a person gets caught with an absent-minded doodle or even a to-do list.

Bartenders make excellent therapists and plain-clothes LE agents... confessions and spilled secrets all for the price of a $7 mixed drink -- priceless!

When did they take his clothes? Not much help if it was more than ten days later.

not to mention that we don't know what was on the warrant and if his clothes were even taken for that matter.

I really believe that if MR did this he won't be able to resist using it to taunt Elaine and to draw her back to the area for wild goose chases over and over again. He lost the ability to use the courts as a means of control when she was allowed to take Dylan and establish a life elsewhere but there is no doubt that she would rush back a million times a day for even the smallest hope of finding her child.

Oh, I have no idea if they took his clothes or if it would even matter so many days later. I was just thinking the truck or his clothes may be the only hope of finding something if whatever happened occurred away from the home that evening.
