Seems LE is not going to mention Dylan.

Merry Christmas fellow Websleuthers. I hope the magic of the season touches all of you.

Merry Christmas Dylan. I pray you are home soon, real soon. I believe Dylan, I believe and I have hope for your good well-being. Wherever you are, have a Merry Christmas. Lots of people love you and are looking for you.

That's why the poster put quotes around the word 'Father'.

He referred to the girl as his daughter even though she was not. He was on my radar because he seemed focused on himself.

I know that several posters mentioned that they already thought he was hinkey before police or news media ever mentioned him as a suspect.

We'll have to agree to disagree and move on. Thanks.

It says the bloodhounds covered the same areas as before, so no new information, no change IMO.

don't you think its odd that they found no trace of Dylans scent?

I think thats very odd if he was abducted from that area, you would expect some trace.

yes, it is very odd; I believe they said the hounds could track a scent up to 6 weeks old. And Dylan hasn't been missing for 6 weeks. Don't know if the snow fall would effect the dogs' tracking ability.

They would not of brought them in if that was the case IMO

No, I don't find it odd. I don't have enough info to determine if it's odd or not. I don't know what point he was abducted from, if it was the house, if he was walked from the house or driven, if it was away from the house, how he got to the point away from the house, etc. If someone saw him walking from the house and picked up by somebody in a vehicle, I might find it odd for them not to pick up his scent. I don't know.

I do find it interesting though that they were checking for his live scent around the lake and more interestingly in buildings. Makes me wonder what is leading them to believe he may have been in a building. I would like to know what kind of buildings and where.

Mostly though I'm just glad they have leads that are keeping them checking things out and trying to find out what happened to him and where he is.

Off topic - there's a baby and a mom abducted by 3 men in Ohio. I don't how to do a thread for it or if I'm allowed to. There's an amber alert going out. If anybody can help with a thread I'd appreciate it.

Massillon, Ohio. Baby's name is Otise Hasker, 17 months old.

Nope, no gun. Dylan was doing what a typical 13 yr old kid would do - he was making plans for 6:30 in hopes he'd get himself awake. The reality, per both his parents, is that his norm would be not getting up that early on a non-school day.

For school days. He hates mornings so much, he takes a shower and dresses the night before - for school days.

I'm going to do the sensible thing and take the word of his parents who know him.

I said exactly the same a couple of threads back - that I didn't find it strange that, after making plans to get up at 6.30am, that Dylan decided to go back to sleep. My 16 year old does it all the time - arranges to go out with friends early, sets alarms, asks me to wake him up etc ..... then when the time comes, he says it doesn't matter, rolls over and goes back to sleep! And he doesn't bother to let them know either. Seriously, he is a nightmare for letting his mates down in exactly the same scenario as we have here.

So, I don't find it odd, and at the time of my post on the subject, I did say that ER was actually backing up MR's story when she was saying how Dylan hated mornings ... and she said this AFTER Dylan went missing, when all the other things she said were not in MR's favour.

This is so frustrating because and I am sure you all will remember originally they said the dogs tracked his scent to the lake. jmo

And in my opinion that is why they keep searching at the lake.

I think the dogs caught a scent at the lake they did not follow a scent to the lake

Merry Christmas everyone :)
That koat tv clip posted above only mentioned searching around Vallecito Reservoir again. It doesn't sound like they were used at MR's home or the nearby roads at all.

I have thought about this a lot. Okay, Dylan chose to sleep in. But I still do not believe that he would not contact his friend as soon as he did wake up. And I just can't, at this point, buy into the idea his phone was dead. I am struggling with him having breakfast, and leaving with all of his stuff, without contacting anyone.

In the off chance he had no way to contact anyone-even more reason I think he would stay put and wait for his ride with dad, OR leave a note.

If Dylan decided to sleep that morning he would have sent his friend a text saying he wasnt coming. I do not believe he went back to sleep with no thought at all to his friend. My son will get up if plans were made will go back to sleep if plans were broken but they always communicate with each other.

I do not think this young man went back to sleep. JMO

Do they mean again, as in today or yesterday? Or does it refer to the time a week or so ago when they used dogs again?

That's the thing here that you can say , ok Dylan is 13 and just thought il sleep in ( I do not believe this ) but then nobody can explain away not contacting RN that morning and arranging to meet up later and to apologise for letting him down that morning !

It simply does not add up !!

To be honest, reading his texts, I really do not think he would have willingly missed his ride. He sounded very, very anxious to see his friend, IMO. And he only had a few days there. It was not like being at home, friends you could see anytime. But my main worry is still the lack of contact. Makes no sense.
