I just don't understand why it would seem strange to someone for DR to leave the house alone,or be outside and confronted by the wrong person pedophiles/molesters are everywhere even in the boon docks and rural areas.LE has stated MR is not a poi,his errands were verified, they searched his house and trucks. If my child were missing NO i would not communicate with my ex, I would talk to LE and media, unless the LE needed both of us at once i wouldn't deal with him.And as far as MR exes talking about past relationships ill just say there two sides to every story not one,who knows if his exes didn't drink as much as him? He did not come out to the media discussing the past or being spiteful to ER in my opinion he dealing with it pretty good considering everything in the media! that's all IMO

First, I just want to say that I'm incredibly sorry you've had to go through all of that this year. I'll be sending good thoughts your way. I hope your relative pulls through; it's good that they have such a strong support network because it really does make a difference when battling a serious illness.
I also completely agree with the point you were making in this post (the part I snipped above sums it up quite nicely). It's so hard to judge how someone should react when faced with something as horrible as a family or friend going missing. If there's one thing I've learnt in all my years (the psych degree helps too), it's that every single person is different, and will react to different things in vastly different ways. While there may be a 'general' reaction that most will have, it doesn't ring true for all. That's why I will never jump to conclusions based on what someone has (or hasn't) said or done. It may look guilty at the time, but I'm not going to assume someone is guilty just because of my perception of their words/actions, the only thing I'll base it on is the cold hard facts.

It's just a shame that in this case we have very few actual facts to work with. If we had more to go on it would make things a whole lot less tense around here, and would likely clear a lot up for us all.

And at the end of the day, regardless of the opinions we all hold, finding Dylan is the only thing that matters... I'm glad to see there are still so many here fighting for him.

JMO :)
Thanks was not enough ; I am also very careful with perception and facts. Serious chronic illness of one of my kids has dramatically changed how I deal with both-especially when they conflict. I may have one fact- then perception. More info- perception may change. I have learned that I have to ask many questions to ascertain exactly what may be going on. His condition is rare- he and the doctors count on me to be observant and precise as possible. I can no longer assume. Assuming incorrectly can waste time, resources, and may cause irreparable damage. Dissappearing children are also rare. I look at both the same way.

Because the odds of that are small and then add in the fact Dylan ceased contact with friends after 8pm on Sunday and was never heard of again even tho he had plans with friends makes no sense. I would buy into abduction a lot more if Dylan had made contact with people after 8pm Sunday . All the sex offenders was checked and cleared in that area as well .

And MR having errands does not clear him in any shape or form when there is a time line from 8pm to whenever he ran his errands that Dylan is un accounted for .

There has been no proof so far that states Dylan spent the night at the house on Sunday night .

the unknown IMO is the sunday night, the fact that all contact from Dylan ceased after 8pm, I can't make up all sorts of excuses to explain that away.

theres also been no proof that Dylan did spend the night there.

eta and o/t: from the article: The sheriff is not calling him a suspect or discusszing details about the search, Bender said.
Is discusszing the German spelling of discussing? It's kind of catchy now that I say it out loud.

:floorlaugh:

Lotus .... you are funny. Thanks for the laugh :)

I don't think I remember reading this in here so it suddenly came to me ( I am sure it was asked in a earlier thread that I missed )

Was one of the reasons why LE thought Dylan may of ran away because he had taken his backpack with him and didn't leave much behind ?

That is not the house he grew up in. He did visit for a week in September however. I am not sure that he had any adult friends around there. I am hoping that LE has interviewed any neighbors or friends of his Dad's.

We have not heard much about the neighbors. I am curious about the immediate area. Someone did post that the area has a very low crime rate though.

BBM

Dylan visited his dad over the Labor Day weekend so he wasn't there for a week.

REDWINE: You know, I didn`t really think anything of it just because, you know, when he`s been with his dad here before, which was over Labor Day weekend was the most recent since we`ve moved –

Great post Maude! Not everyone feels or reacts the same way in any given situation. And it's unfair to judge one person and how they act by someone else's actions in a similar situation. We are all individuals and all react differently. That's what makes us unique.

Well let me ask you a question?
If your child goes missing What Do You Do?

You ACT!

This man waited all day to call LE
He left his child home in bed (so he says)
He comes home and no Dylan!
He waits till late afternoon to contact dylans friends...I dont for one second believe dylan was there that morning and he held off calling LE till he absoloutly had to...

All JMO

The reward wont be collected because afaic there is only one person that knows what happend and he aint tellin!

I would think that was ONE of the reasons and also the fact that maybe he didnt really want to be there.
Im sure ER andCR gave LE an earfull and also LE might be very aware of the history with this family!

I would think no phone contact is the HUGE red flag but also the fact that they needed scent articles i was like what the hay! the kid went to sleep there.
I think something happend to him at the same time the phone went dead.

I think every person that could possibly be involved in a missing persons case should HAVE to take a polygraph no matter what, change the laws, ppl should not be allowed to hide and be protected by our laws when they possibly committed a crime. A good shot of sodium pentathol would work too.
LOL

We have no proof he did.

We dont even know that dad was at that house Sunday night!
Heo could have been busy!

Im not so sure he has any neighbors that would notice if he were there or not.

The running away thing never added up for me because Dylan had a phone and could of rung Elaine and said "come and pick me now " if something had gone wrong between MR and Dylan and I'm sure he could of stayed with Friends until Elaine made the journey .

Why would he simply run off by himself without contacting anybody ?! .

LE have baffled me in this case from the more I hear .

moo but it could be that law enforcement is silent because they have a theory but no proof, so they watch and wait. Some one might drink too much and talk. I'm afraid it means they think he is not with us anymore though and that breaks my heart.

For a second I thought Dylan had been found safe . This thread was in the middle of two topics that had "found safe " on them and on my iPhone it looked like Dylan's thread and sadly it was not :(

If two x wife's say the same thing I listen and especially when they say " capable of murder " that rings alarm bells .

Why would they both say the same thing if it' not what they believe ?

This is the same guy who took a swing at his son and had sex with a neighbour on the lawn where his children could see him . Not exactly father of the year materiel IMO .

Thanks for the post. I have three ex's (counting BF and husband):moo::moo:. Two are very good men and one IS capable of murder.

No but I think if he had spent the night there would of been more proof of this as MR could not provide scent items ( so Dylan spends the night but leaves behind no trace ?)

And sorry I am not willing to discuss a made up boogie man as I just do not think that happened when Dylan's phone was randomally switched off just after 8pm Sunday and never switched back on again .

IMHO :D

Exactly and IMO it could not be any clearer to come to a conclusion. These days one is connected to their phone like it is part of one.
