I don't normally use many emoticons (other than here), but I was told that a scowling face was something like:

>:-/

Not a lot different, I guess.

That's the point some of us are making :)

It seems WHATEVER happened, a series of circumstances lined up just right to enable it to play as it has. Unless we're missing a clearer and more obvious answer.

IMO I don't think there are a lot of coincidences. I think Dylan landed, went to walmart, phone stopped, he disappeared. That is all we know (plus some texting). Everything else are just stories, even made up. No coincidence there.

I get why you would question them , i just do not get in when you go public with them questions before trying to talk to them first.
<SNIP>

Where was it stated that he hadn't already spoken to LE about it? TIA

In order to make an abduction scenario work, there has to be a lot of caveats to the story.

In order to make homicide by MR work, there has to be a lot of caveats to the story. (i.e. he got out of the truck to commit the crime, he committed the crime without getting blood or cadaver evidence on him or his clothes- known from his home and car turning up nothing helpful to the investigation)

Either way we look at it, I think "most simple case scenarios" have been ruled out. Something happened, obviously, but there is no doubt in mind there were a series of circumstances lining up to lead us to where we are.

Abby , you just totally gave me a chill ,, a whole new idea. ''he got out of the truck to commit the crime, he committed the crime without getting blood or cadaver evidence on him or his clothes''

What if MR committed no actual crime at all? And still got the job done ? What if he drove way out into the sticks as high up as he could go and just told Dylan to get out of the car,,, get out and walk home if you're such a little know it all ( after arguing about phone/ friends etc) That makes me so sad to think about it but it could actually work. In rugged terrain, freezing temps and with no supplies, how long could a young guy make it ?
Ugh, is this possible? Please someone tell me why this cannot work.........as I'm sure you will all do ..........in 3 , 2 , 1 :P

well i still question why LE would allow a minor's texts to be published and not MR's. unless they don't exist and he simply told them he texted dylan that afternoon but in fact did not. or subsequently also told them he deleted 'the texts'.

if they existed, LE should have gone ahead and shared them with MSM just as they did RN's. IMO. JMO. MOO.

Hey WR, how are you??

LE didn't publish RN's texts to Dylan, a reporter did. So that really doesn't mean anything one way or the other as far as MR's texts to Dylan are concerned. IMO

Has Elaine be critical at all , do we know ?

It seems Elaine has been critical of MR. MR has been critical of LE.

Hmm. I use that emoticon often, but it doesn't mean scowling. More like "meh."

The end of Nov. into early Dec. there was a flurry of activity. The FBI officially came into the the picture & within a couple days, there was an official interview with MR, his house was forensically searched and was it 12 hours for the search or 12 hours for the interview? They went back to the lake, neighbors, NG & it was in this period that MR did his lst interview & consulted the criminal attorney.

Yes, frustration makes perfect sense but open criticism from almost day 1 just bewilders me.

So was it only when the FBI came in that MR consulted a criminal attorney ?

I dont think he wanted to go!
Look at that kids face in Walmart!
Does he look happy to be with Dad
?

That is a pause in a random video of him walking through Walmart.

Well does Dylan's actions sound like he was happy to be there?

1) He lands and texts home with a scowl face
2) He on his first night there had plans with friends ( yes his trip was delayed by a day but he could of cancelled if he wished to , he chose not to)
3) He then makes plans as soon as humanly possible with the friend he cancelled with at 6.30a,m .
4) He is not exactly jumping for joy in the Walmart picture released !

None of these paint a picture of Dylan being happy .

IMHO .

As quoted below, he's a 13 year old boy who would rather be with his friends than with his parents, mom or dad.

He is 13 more like 14 they dont want to be with parents they want their friends!
Dosent matter if its mom or dad. They would rather be with their friends

Exactly. Doesn't matter if it's mom or dad.

He looks upset to me.
JMO

I took my 12 year old to Walmart today. He had Christmas money to spend. He bought a lot of things he really wanted. He didn't smile once.

Didn't it take about a week for MR to start complaining?

For my teen boys- it's about 50/50. They still enjoy activities with one or both of us. The key is to find activites that all enjoy.

Yes and he is not smiling or looking happy. If he was smiling then they would of captioned that .

And we have no proof at all that he did not like hanging around with Elaine as far as i am aware .

And i may be alone in thinking this but if i had not seen my dad in 2 months then i would want to spend my first night in town catching up with him. I can see my friends another day. You only get one dad in this world .

IMO

My 14 yr old says that's it from dylans kind of phone.

Its not but its also not stated he did either :)

That's true, but I haven't seen anyone using him talking to them first as evidence of his guilt either. MOO

I tend to question the sanity of people who walk around with a smile on their face at all times, especially in the Walmarts.

I didn't say he didn't like hanging around Elaine. I was quoting another poster who mentioned most 13-14 year olds would rather hang around their friends than their parents.

As far as having only one dad and wanting to see him because you haven't seen him in 2 months, 13 year olds don't think like that. They want instant gratification. He hadn't seen those friends in 2 months either. These are friends he spent most of his life with.
