But if he did do something like this and then covered it up and told LE he saw him that morning and he wasnt there when he came back well that there is a very big crime Lying to Law enforcement! I think if you left a child out in the wilderness its a crime and not reporting it is worse.

Absolutely! He may have thought at this point ' crap, i was drunk ' and ' of course dylan is gonna walk up any time and then it'll be fine and we'll all laugh about it one day ' .......... only when Dylan never walked up things got more and more serious and now MR is committed to this LIE. It's a theory in progress for sure and there's plenty wrong with it.

IMHO anytime that Elaine has been interviewed, has written any letters or posts on the facebook, or that she has spoken in any public manner, her message has been primarily the concern for Dylan and desire to have him found. She did stray slightly when she voiced her concerns about her fears of MR.

On the flip side, MR has consented to few interviews and again IMHO there has been little as far as any visible concern or worry about Dylan. Now maybe he just isn't a person who expresses emotion. But there does appear to be a stark difference in the concern and worry expressed by Elaine and the lack thereof from MR. Again MOO IMO

I think the reason MR is silent is because he has a lawyer and if he agrees to an interview they will ask him about all the past charges they will ask if he took a poly what his results were and I do not think he can answer these questions.

I thought MR made a big deal out of the fact that Dylan flew in on a direct flight from Colorado Springs to Durango?

Mark was the last known person to see a missing child. He's the only person known to have had contact with that child for a period of nearly 24 hours before he was reported missing. Everything he says and does becomes relevant in the search for answers. The same can not be said for Elaine. Apples & oranges.

ETA: I'm not trying to direct the discussion, just understand it. It seems to me that if one thinks MR is innocent then their time would be better spent sleuthing possible alternate scenarios rather than simply deflecting suspicion back on Elaine. Maybe I'm just confused or missing a major point.

And that's the problem. I can sleuth to my hearts content and have, but can't post the things I've found because of TOS. So for me, it's either I leave WS altogether or passive aggressively try to stick other thoughts out there that don't have to do with MR. I can't say I feel with 100% certainty that MR is not guilty, but I can't say I feel he's guilty either. I think there are definitely other scenarios that would work very well here, but can't say without getting my wrist slapped. And I like my wrists. I don't want them to be slapped.

What are 'all the past charges' you are referring to. The ones that are very well known here on WS and I am sure known to any press? tia

Keyword is 'known'. Your statement is true based on the opinion MR did something to make DR disappear. But, we do not know this is the case as a fact. jmo

No, my statement is true period. Thanks to the inclusion of the word "known" my post consists entirely of facts. It doesn't matter who (if anyone) you think is guilty, right now Dylan's trail ends at WM with Mark. That is what we have to work with. Unless or until LE gives us something more the verified facts are few and none of them even include Dylan making it to Mark's home.

Please don't take offense, but you have an opinion and I have mine. :moo:

OT:

This thread gets far more traffic- a friend/family member is trying to join WS for another missing person- could one of you please assist her?

hey i just thought of something (yes it was painful lol).

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/new...ast-seen-night-before-he-was-reported-missing

"People taking part in the search should meet at 8:30 a.m.at the Edgemont Ranch picnic area. The location is on the south side of the 5300 block of County Road 240, just east of Edgemont Ranch and just west of the intersection with County Road 240 and County Road 234."

i've been citing 246 or 243 as possible 'alternate routes' that evening. why did they focus on that particular intersection? because it's hardly halfway in between.

was that the location of a last ping? from either dylan's or MR's cell phone?

this was probably discussed in one of the many threads but TIA if anyone can shed light.

wow...I had not mapped that before and it *is* interesting in that it's actually closer to Durango than it is to MR's home....

You can certainly offer up alternate hypothetical, what if, scenarios, without pointedly including any particular person(s),....followed up with IMO...
there is certainly nothing wrong with doing so, being careful to not directly lay any blame on any that can be considered a related victim. I am trying to think of an alternate sceanrio here-
okay- an example of sorts-do we know what, if any, other persons were visiting in the home on Sunday evening? Could someone else have been there? Could they have taken Dylan the next morning? Or even that night? and for some unusual reason it has not been mentioned that someone else was at that house? I am just theorizing:)

I'm not at all offended but I would greatly appreciate it if you would point out what I said that wasn't true in that original post. It hardly seems appropriate to imply that I lied but fail to even say what the lie is most less offer up proof of said lie. TIA.

You're right to keep considering options. Every option is rather unlikely or non-typical at this point. The "obvious" things have been ruled out- that's why LE doesn't have a solid direction.

I'm not convinced LE doesn't have a solid direction. Sometimes silence is golden!

Has Elaine gone back to work as does she not work at a university so they would not of been back until this week/next week?. And she did not go back till the university would of broken up for Xmas i would of thought .

How do we know she has gone back to work?
I remember reading that she went back to C.S. because she had to go back to work. Schools may not be in session over the holidays, but there are times when some staff members do have to work during off times. MOO

I don't believe you're lying about anything, but I do think it's your opinion, rather than a fact, that everything MR says or does is relevant. MOO

OMG, I never implied you lied. But, your post expressed an opinion to me, if I am wrong give me a link that proves MR was the last person to see DR. That is all. No one here knows anything for sure. And if you do, please share it with all of us. tia

I'm back to the 2 most logical scenarios. Either premeditated or a rage that spun out of control.
Jmo but nothing else fits to me with the few facts that we know.

My post clearly said "last KNOWN" person. A fact that Mark himself has pointed out.
