The video about "Family's Domestic Violence History" mentions Dylan's statements from court hearings in September and October (iirc?)... are those documents that would remained sealed permanently because they're dealing with a minor & are in family court? More so now because they're part of a missing persons/criminal case?

Does anyone think there are any court records reporters could successfully get the courts to release like 9news did? Or is there nothing relevant left to release? Nothing that the courts/LE will permit to be released?

bbm: it would play to the current situation of Dylan missing :twocents: (maybe not the past divorce issue but certainly would be relevant to the current situation with Dylan missing)

also, iirc she claimed to have the records at home...

AZgrandma didn't specifically state she had CPS records...she said she had "records".
They could be medical records. They could also be court documents relating to her divorce/child custody issues when allegations were made against MR.
CPS records are not accessible to anyone except CPS and the child. (in RARE instances, a judge will request them)

Keep in mind that AZG has not yet confirmed WHAT records she has. We’re “assuming” they are (just ?) CPS records. They could be any type of records: CPS, medical records, court/divorce/custody records, police reports, they could be school records, etc. She merely responded "YES" to the question "Do we have any records that MR physically hurt his kids at all?"

How awful it must be trying to cling to hope that your child will come while processing the likelihood of that not happening. I feel sick thinking about that - and I don't know how parents function through that.

I'm going to sound like a 5-year old, but this is how I feel: this is so unfair.
Why Dylan???
Why does this happen to so many kids and so many families???

Too much grief... :(

I've never been one of those people who ask, "Why me?" when something bad happens; I usually think, "Why anybody?" In spite of that, I don't think that feeling that way (or in this case, why Dylan?) makes you sound like a 5 year-old, it just makes you sound human. IMO

Aren't you two just adorable with your simultaneous identical responses??? :floorlaugh:

Not arguing with you, but if someone is driving drunk and is pulled over and taken to jail, where do the children who are in the car go? Isn't CPS called in at that point? Or is there a middle agency that gets involved? I am just remembering 'Cops' and shows I have seen. tia

LE usually makes several attempts to find a sober parent/grandparent/friend to come for the children.
If no one is available, CPS will be called to take the children, but most of the time, someone else takes the children.

Proof that great minds think alike! Cheers to NCAnalyzer & TxJan!

yes, that was my point (re: that she said she had them at home vs cps records)

I do believe, (and I may be wrong, :great:), but access and availability of court records is determined by jurisdiction.
At this point, I think it would be a safe bet to say all of the Family Court records regarding Dylan are sealed, I think mainly because the case still involves a minor, but also because courts tend to frown on allowing the media to access/publish this kind of thing.

Well then, I guess you confused the *&^% otta me, because I have no idea what you're asking.

I think it's only a human response too.
The 5-year old comment was only in reference to the "this is so unfair".
It doesn't really matter how you pose the question -"why me?" "why Dylan?" "why anybody?" ... same difference, either way - bad things happening to good people, so much suffering, so sad, and maddening IMO.

I was subjected to an abusive step father for years. However, I'm sure other than some traffic offenses, there was zero history or records of any criminal or other contact with LE. My step dad got sick and died at a young age, which I believe was the ultimate karma for someone like him.

Anyway, I would say from personal experience that there are times that violence can go on that is never reported to LE. Maybe not so much now as when I was growing up in the 1970's, but I believe it still happens. Often...

I wasn't asking a question... I was responding to what you posted about cps records.

And this is what typically happens. No records.
And unfortunately, it is still as prevalent as it always was.

Dylan's FB page is asking "Where are you praying, caring, sharing from today".

Ok. So you were agreeing with me? Shoulda said so! :great:

Isn't driving drunk with kids in the car child abuse? :twocents:

I've kind of given up on posting here, just focusing on "thanking" people.

However, whenever I see this particular line, I feel obliged to bring up the fact that the accusation was made two years after it allegedly occurred.

Really.

And if someone wanted me to "prove" that it happened, I don't really have any proof per se.

Whenever I see this accusation, I feel obligated to add that it was also alleged at the time it happened. MOO

And you're one of "countless" others, as well...
