I think they havent ruled it out because they believe it is a strong viable possibility (didnt they tell one reporter off the record they do think that is what happened?) No matter his age he was a small 105 pound kid. In his last photo he doesnt look like he weighs that much to me.

Like others he could have been enticed into getting into the vehicle willingly and if forced he would be no match for an adult who also could have displayed a weapon.

They took the possiblity off that he was a runaway. They have their valid reasons for still keeping abduction on the table, imo.

IMO

Exactly! If LE can't take abduction off the table, who can??

I said it was off the record but why would the reporter print that knowing full well LE would know about it? Has LE refuted they said it?

imo

LOL See. BOO! :p

I live here in ABQ and it is my belief that this was hyperbole by the newsperson or station. And i have not seen it reported that way elsewhere.

I am sure it can happen but I do not believe this is the case here . Too much does not add up or ring true for me to believe this theory .

MOO

I respect your opinion highly asyousay but I have been here for many years and have seen the same opinion said in many other cases that you hold and it turned out to be a stranger pedophile abductor or a neighbor who lived in the area.

So personally "I" look for actual legitimate evidence that shows guilt and so far I see nothing that points to Mark Redwine as being involved in Dylan's disappearance. Maybe I am missing some evidence though that has been shown by LE and is known to others.

What doesnt add up? We really have no knowledge of any of the evidence LE has collected or what their on going investigation has told them. All we know is they say the family continues to cooperate.

The phone thing is my biggest problem with this case. I admit it. I do not believe it just stopped working and no arrangements were made by Dylan or his father to contact his friends. If not for the phone issue, i would be far more open to a non-MR related scenario.

I would have been more suspicious if MR had called to let the friend know that DR wasn't coming as early as expected. I can't see anyone calling a home at 6:30 or so in the morning just to tell them they don't have to get up. MOO

Dont know how the posts got messed up Cluciano.

Oh you live in Bayfield? Wow I didnt know that. Thats cool.

Maybe they didnt tell another news station. It can all depend who calls in and who they speak with. It just seems odd to me that if it wasnt true that LE would not want to shut that mistruth down ASAP. Plus they have had abduction out there from early on anyway so its not like the public didnt know that the police already thought that abduction was a possibility.

I do not have evidence but just stuff that I can not explain away .

Lack of phone use after 8pm Sunday night

He does not seem practically happy in the texts to R

Makes plans With R ( all Dylan's doing ) and he states " if R does not answer the door he will call him and badger him all day "
Then apparently decides to sleep in and never contacts R to explain away his absence the following morning .

After making all the arrangements with R he then takes a fishing pole and decides to go fishing by himself and also takes his bag with him that has most of his processions on him .

Elaine states " if Dylan did something that MR did not like he was capable of hurting Dylan"

Why not as R was up and texted Dylan as he had set his alarm for Dylan's arrival ,?

So he was not waking him up . And it was the respectable thing to do to stop R worrying .

Her post clearly says she lives in ABQ which I'm sure you realize is where that article is also from.

i did not phrase it right, but I kind of meant arrangements by his father to get him a working phone, as i do not believe Dylan would, leave him unaware if it was broken.

I wouldn't allow my son (when he was young) to call anyone's house at that time of day and I sure wouldn't do it myself. R had told him to call first and to knock on the patio door to wake him up. Why would either of them expect him to get up and wait for him after he told him to wake him up? The phone is one of the least important things about this case to me, but we all see things differently, MOO.

How would MR know that R had set an alarm and was up?

Do we have information from Dylan's family that tells us if he was an early (6:30 AM) riser or not? Did he rely on an alarm to wake in the morning? Was the alarm his phone which could have had a dead battery?

Very little of the very little we know has been from direct quotes by LE, or anyone else for that matter.

Amen to that. I was thinking that very thing today. Nothing from LE. And I wonder if ER had not made that first statement about MR's temper, etc. would some be looking at MR so strongly now. jmo

Dylan was not good at mornings and would get ready the night before ( but he did get up) - Elaine said this about Dylan and mornings (paraphrasing)

But we never did hear if Dylan had a shower that night and I he had prepped so he could leave the next morning .

It was not calling the house as R had a mobile so Dylan could of texted him or gave him a quick call .

Dylan was awake because MR says that . So he could of cancelled on his friend and gone back to sleep IMO

I'll give you an anecdote from when I was his age to help you understand why I can easily accept that.

I woke up one Sunday morning, and my mother was annoyed at me. She wanted to know why I hadn't let her know that her friend had stopped by while she was gone on Friday night. I told her it was because I went to bed early and didn't even know she was there. She almost called me a liar, but instead just shook her head and accused me of sleep walking instead. Her friend had knocked on the door around midnight; I got up, let her in and talked to her for almost half an hour. She left, I went back to bed, and I never did remember any of it.

I was able to respond to her questions, and appear somewhat coherent, but some parts of my brain were still in bed sleeping.
