Obviously LE does not have enough evidence to arrest MR. If they did he would have been arrested. I don't even think they have evidence that a crime was committed.

Correction: LE never said there was no activity on Dylan's phone after 8 on Sunday night, they just said there was no activity at some time on Sunday night. LE didn't say 8 pm. That was someone else. Somehow that kept getting repeated as fact.

But we do know that R was texting Dylan Monday.

Mark could have had GPS, OnStar, Lojack, or XM satellite radio just as well has he "could" have harmed Dylan. When people say they think Mark did something to Dylan, isn't that an "ASSUMPTION"? They know Mark did something to Dylan about as much as I know whether Mark had GPS, OnStar, Lojack or XM satellite radio.

So just for the ASSUMPTION that he may have had any one or a combination of any of these things, he would have had to have disabled them in some way in order to not leave a trace as to where he was that night IF he was off harming Dylan, which is another ASSUMPTION.

Exactly!! If they had something on him, they would have arrested him. That's what I've been saying.

I agree with you...

(I didn't like how it read so I changed it to more accurately reflect what I was trying to say!)

But we are not basing these suspicions merely on assumption. They are based on a whole host of things. (which I will refrain from going into for the umpteenth time)

Thanks for the clarification. But, whatever they said they have implied nothing, nada, was going on with his phone. Right? I just want to understand. ty

I don't think anyone's disputing the fact that if they had enough evidence to show MR did something he would have been arrested. They don't have it! IMHO.

Haha! Something I've been trying to understand all along. They said 'no activity' and I tried to get answers as to what exactly that means. Then later they said it had been off for days. IIRC

I believe the time to be at or about 8pm, when Dylan's phone was last active. Otherwise, I don't think it would have been mentioned, a different time would be out there as the last time he was heard from, his phone was on, whatever.

  • #872
I'm assuming since Dylan's phone was off or inoperable he never RECEIVED those texts so they don't count as activity.

Just as an FYI - here's what Bender actually stated on Nancy Grace:

NG: Sergeant Bender, Is it true that nobody can confirm he is seen or heard from since he texted home when he arrived at his dad's house Sunday night?

BENDER: My understanding is -- and our investigators have checked his cell phone. Also, cell phones have GPS's, so if they're turned on, that gives a general location of the person. And we have been following up on those right along, and there`s been no activity on his phone whatsoever since Sunday evening sometime.

No arrest does not mean no evidence. It means not enough evidence, sometimes. Like Terri Horman, Drew Peterson, Josh Powell and others.

I was just re-reading Nancy Grace transcript and just saw this:

GRACE: To you, Dan O`Donnell. Give it to me in a thumbnail. This little boy goes to visit Dad for Thanksgiving holiday. It`s about six hours away from here his mother and siblings now live. He gets there safely around afternoon, evening on Sunday before Thanksgiving, Monday morning dad heads out for errands, 7:30 a.m. Comes home four hours later, the boy`s gone.

What else do we know, Dan O`Donnell?

O`DONNELL: Right, well, the boy was last seen at 11:30, the father told investigators that he started his search on his own for about four hours, didn`t report him missing until the early evening on that Monday. The most bizarre thing about this case, though, Nancy, is that Dylan, a prolific texter as most 13-year-old boys are who have cell phones -- his phone was not used since 8:00 p.m. Sunday night. His phone was not even on after 8:00 p.m. Sunday night.

But, don't we know that all cell phones do not have GPS and don't we know DR's didn't have GPS? Not arguing, but hasn't this been reported? ty

I'll let Bender explain... :floorlaugh:

I just copy and paste! I do that well...

I have and have had SiriusXM satellite radio since 2004 and there is NO such tracking record of any of the installed units.none!

Elaine stated clearly that she, personally had viewed Dylan's cell phone records AND THAT DYLAN'S PHONE CEASED MINS AFTER 8PM.

IMO those records are facts to each their own on whether they choose to believe.jmo
