My :twocents: -

- I don't even think about a runaway theory. Everyone who knows Dylan has been so adamant that he wouldn't run away. :twocents:

- I can't make heads or tails of what the retired police officer is saying. I just wish he'd put a shirt on. Interestingly, there was a troll posting on the opposite end of the spectrum on Dylan's official facebook yesterday over and over that Dylan was dead. It was awful, had a lot of people very upset. Maybe the PO fancied himself a "counter troll"? Or maybe it was the same troll in a different account. Trolls don't much care what they say - they just look for strong reaction. :twocents:

The shirt comment cracks me up!

I don't think he's a troll. He's been on FMDR from very early on and I got the feeling one of the admins knows him. No, I don't have a link or anything, but I do know he's been there for a while, at least as long as I have been on there, and I've been on there from the beginning. JMO

ETA: Why would FMDR repost if they thought he was a troll?

I find his comment about it wasn't supposed to go this far very interesting indeed.

I know. It's like he knows something. It also goes into what I've been thinking. ;) It wasn't suppose to go this far or last this long.

That person on FB, whoever he is, is just saying what the belief has been all along on the page, since it is basically a prayer page and everyone believe Dylan to be alive. I think he has about as much info as I do.

I do too. It has my wheels spinning... Maybe someone was to take Dylan on purpose and hide him and something went awry. I'm hoping this isn't the case but this seems like such a strange comment to make on a very public forum. It sounds like more than speculation to me.

I didn't realize he had posted on there before. Thanks, mija. And it was me wondering if he might be a troll, not the admin. I'm sure she wouldn't repost if she thought it was a troll. She's trying hard to contain the trolls.

I'm curious...what have you been thinking?

I thought they had asked people not to be negative on the official Facebook page ? , so it's all about trying to give hope to the family . I am not reading much into his comments because LE I think would be doing more if it's abduction gone wrong . Yet it's still as quiet as a grave yard from LE !

IMHO

Please remember the comment is nothing more than a "rumor" at this point. Don't let it carry the thread away because there is nothing to indicate that poster has any more info than LE has.

Thanks,

Salem

I agree they want to keep things positive, but this was reposted by the admin of FMDR, which puts it front and center, not on the side where you have to dig. Not only that, but his comments are very specific. MOO

Based on the admin's posts and efforts, I don't think it's a prayer page or a hope page or a feel-good page. I think it's a page to reach as many people as possible with Dylan's picture, so they will be looking for him. I think they're doing a good job of it. :twocents:

I'm really curious to see what these possible abduction scenarios could be? Abduction gone wrong? Abduction gone on for too long? What does this mean? I'm open to other possibilities and I'm curious what these could mean?

I think we've beat the 'MR killed Dylan' scenario to a pulp and without further information we can't really take it any further. So...what about abductions? MR involved abduction or an abduction by a person known to Dylan? Stranger abduction? Abduction for ransom? What are some theories?

When the 'officer' was questioned about the cell phone usage comment he replied with something like 'the pattern of usage (not being on) wasn't normal'. WTH...so that told him that Dylan was kidnapped and is being held captive? Something is very 'off' with his statements IMO. Something tells me he's learning about Dylan late in the game and is assuming that he was abducted vs. running away.

There is also the possibility that the "officer" does not genuinely believe that Dylan is being held by a co-conspirator, BUT just in case (even if there's a one per cent possibility), he is making an effort to scare the "co-conspirator" into making contact with police.

Yet interestingly enough one of his friends posted on Saturday night I believe it was that Dylan told him that he had run away before and was planning it again.

I took a screenshot of that one as well.

Never say never for sure!

From what I have seen Dylan was close to Elaine and Cory so was him running away on MR's watch or was things not happy at home ?

I left my house today with a fully charged phone. I was gone from the house for about 7 hours. I had it on the whole time. I played Words with Friends, and checked in with FB, checked and sent email. By the time I got home, I was in the red zone on my battery. It was almost dead. It drew off G3 all day. I never made a phone call or text. And the battery was almost dead. I wasn't on it constantly, just periodically. And I live in an area where it wasn't constantly looking for a connection.

So with Dylan's old cell phone, being out in the boonies, where it would be searching for service, be it cell service or satellite service, it drains the battery big time.

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Sorry very off topic but I was assured that there were no ping pong tables in space when I enquired why it could not seem to bounce off any of the satellites and back to earth.

The statement is still on there on the right about 24 hours ago. <modsnip>.

Given that no demands for ransom have been issued (that we know of) I have to rule that out. Maybe abduction by someone known to him in the community? If so, will we find poor Dylan come springtime somewhere else in the four corners area? Because it was such an odd week- school out, holiday traffic, warm weather for the area- the tendency for a regular community member to behave in different ways might not have seemed out of place.

Maybe handed off to someone by MR? Cannot imagine that LE has not checked out MR's family/friend circle but he has come across as a private guy so perhaps he has some connections hidden away? This is the only scenario that gives me any hope of Dylan being alive.
