I understand what you're saying and agree that he will be sliced and diced and spit out. I truly do.

The fact remains that his flesh and blood is missing, though...

It all comes back to that. His son is missing. Nothing else should matter. Nothing! The child should come first.

And in the beginning, he gave interviews, he was out there talking and trying to get the world out that Dylan was missing. It's not like he hasn't done anything at all. Did you read what Salem said? About how he probably feels guilty because Dylan went missing on his watch? Who's to say how he should act? Maybe he's polarized by this? He has the added weight of being the one responsible for his child when he went missing, over and above being a parent of a missing child.

I don't know about you, but I'd want to crawl in bed and pull the covers over my head for that alone. How devastating this has to be for EVERYONE involved, not just mom, not just brother. Everyone seems to forget that. JMO

If he fell asleep shortly after getting to the house, he may also have not gotten around to digging the charger out of his backpack and plugging it in. If the phone was left on overnight, it was very likely that the battery was dead by the time he woke up. The part that makes it unlikely that he ran away is the fact that he hadn't used the phone for days (when it was first said) after he could have recharged the battery. MOO

It was said that he told RN that he couldn't go after they left Walmart. That would mean no later than 7:09, but I don't remember offhand if that was the first message he sent saying he couldn't go that night. People have posted that it's a 45 minute drive, and some have said over an hour, but either way it sounded to me like it was possible that they were there shortly after 8:00. MOO

Haha....I wouldn't ask Confusion that... she/he made one a while ago and got blasted for it, so I doubt she/he will contribute. Can't say I blame him/her.

Only someone close to him would be able to know if he did this or not. I bet phone records show if he usually continued to send texts during the night, or receive them. If the phone is usually off when he sleeps, then the messages are stored by the carrier and forwarded to the phone when it is turned on. They don't have his phone, though - I'm assuming analysis of cellular data would provide that info? To show a pattern of what he did?

The reasonable loving parent of a missing child may indeed want to pull the covers over their heads, but, (imoo) they do not do so. (until they are in bed all alone with their demons) The reasonable loving parent of a missing child is (imoo) constantly thinking of ways to find their child, to bring him/her home. (IE, the seemingly silly idea of promise of immunity if you contact them with information through email)

They work, they search, they put themselves out there, warts and all, like Sierra LaMar's dad, and like Hailey Dunn's father.

They don't quit, they don't hide, and they do whatever it takes to get their baby back.

The texts are here somewhere, lol. I will try to find it. But to me it seemed unfinished. Dylan sounded very concerned to make sure his friend would be ready to,receive him at 6:30am and his friend was replying, it was a back and firth, and then it just ended.

MR did say that Dylan was texting R after they left Walmart and before they headed home. If it's a 45-60 minute drive there's no way they were home by 8pm.

For this reason, II assume that last flurry of texts happened all very close to 8:01 and was over by 8:05 at the latest.
