So he's a reporter??? Not LE? Then how would he know about the 8:00 pm time for the phone when LE hasn't even said that?

We do know that ER has access to the records. Dylan is 13, is there any doubt that she paid his bill as he is a minor/contract? LE has said sometime Sunday evening activity stopped...so I am not sure what the issue is? Maybe you can state your concerns???

I just re-read the Nancy Grace transcript again and noted this:

JOSTAD: Yes, that`s right, Nancy. We don`t have any confirmed reports that anybody saw him between 8:00 PM Sunday until 7:30 AM on Monday morning. Now, there are some sightings after he was reported missing that have not been yet confirmed, but they still can`t substantiate those.

GRACE: Sergeant Bender, is it true that nobody can confirm he is seen or heard from since he texted home when he arrived at his dad`s house Sunday night?

BENDER: My understanding is -- and our investigators have checked his cell phone. Also, cell phones have GPS`s, so if they`re turned on, that gives a general location of the person. And we have been following up on those right along, and there`s been no activity on his phone whatsoever since Sunday evening sometime.

Bender didn't answer the question completely - only answered about the phone and did not answer the part about whether there was confirmation he had been seen...

Something no one has mentioned is that Elaine probably doesn't know much more about phone technology than the average lay person. It isn't unlikely that she was referring to "GPS" like several others here were referring to GPS...as in "I don't use GPS on my phone" or "I don't pay to have GPS services on my phone....but that doesn't actually confirm that Dylan's phone DOESN'T have the type of GPS that we are talking about. GPS is built in to all phones manufactured after 2006(?), I believe. (or around that time frame) I know Dylan had an older style flip phone, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have built in GPS. This can go either way.

I bet at the time of the interview (it was one of the first) when she spoke about Dylan's phone, and the GPS comment, that she had already been given a good overview of GPS, what it can and can't do, and what Dylan's phone was capable of by LE.

In my own estimation, they gave her that information along with the cell phone records that they had already obtained. This is just a theory of mine.

That makes it sound even more like they were out of Walmart by about 7:00. It was 7:06 when he sent the text to his mother, and the video from Walmart would have been a confirmed sighting. Unless, of course, it's all just part of a conspiracy to drive me totally crazy! :banghead:

Here's what I have:

At 5:40 p.m., Dylan tells his friend that his plane has landed, and Ryan asks him how the flight went.

http://www.durangoherald.com/article/20121215/NEWS01/121219687/-1/news01&source=RSS

AND

Flight not confirmed below - but found this from fellow poster:

5:47PM flight. By the time he got to the gate, it'd be about 6:00PM. Also, there were no other flights that flew into Durango from anywhere from that flight until 8:25PM.

that 5:47PM flight was, in fact, about 1 hour late arriving. It was scheduled to arrive at 4:48PM.
Poster: Lysstwrt - Post #912 – Thread 2

So if he got to the gate and then to the car and then to Walmart - not sure what time that would be.

We don't have confirmation exactly where he was around that 8:00 p.m. time. He had approximately 2 hours from the time he arrived at the airport and then the gate until 8:00 p.m. with one stop at Wal Mart and ????

Do we know the exact time he arrived at WalMart or how long he was there?

Do we have confirmed sightings AFTER Walmart photo by anyone other than MR?

They also supposedly stopped at McDonalds.

I don't think police even know whether Dylan arrived at the house. Doesn't appear to me they found any forensic evidence.

And based on that, my timeline ends at whatever time the Wal Mart photo was taken. The last known FACT is that Dylan was at Wal Mart at _____ time!

I won't even consider McDonalds, only because no one (other than MR) said they were there and there has been no photos/MSM to corroborate that. So in my world, it didn't happen.

The timeline resumes for me when LE/FBI/CBI takes over and makes any direct quote statements.

That's why I'm completely stuck with no way to turn! Don't know where to go after 8:00'ish.

If Dylan is alive, the only thing that is even possible to me is that he was driven someplace by his father on Sunday night, his phone shut off/taken away by his father to prevent tracking, not knowing what capabilities the phone may have. I don't believe that this is what happened, but it is the only way I can picture him being alive and not using his phone. I do not believe that he was there at the house in the morning, if at all. It just makes no sense to me. And IMO only, LE does not believe it either, or at least, they certainly do not behave as though a child has been taken off of a country road and simply vanished.

Ok this may have been asked and answered, so please forgive me. I don't feel like searching and my eyes are going wonky.

Is there a mini-McDonalds inside that WalMart in Durango that they went to? (I know there is a McDonalds after the WalMart) - but was just wondering if the WalMart had a little one there. Anyone know/recall?

TIA

Apparently not, according to some people who did some research way back when. Just one in Durango.

They have only confirmed that Dylan arrived in La Plata county

Nope, the Walmart page for the Durango store says they don't have a McDs.
