Nine weeks tomorrow, since Dylan was last seen by anyone besides MR.
I barely glanced at this case when it first appeared, as I never imagined this would become "one of those" cases.

That makes it sound even more like they were out of Walmart by about 7:00. It was 7:06 when he sent the text to his mother, and the video from Walmart would have been a confirmed sighting. Unless, of course, it's all just part of a conspiracy to drive me totally crazy! :banghead:

I believe we are on the same path...here! :great: MR stated to the effect regarding a timeline that he told Dylan "no" after they went to McDonalds & Walmart but before they went home. That is the best timeline we have IF(if MR is telling the truth of course). So how long does it take from Walmart or McDonalds because we don't know which came first or second, although it should be very simple, no? Thank you for remembering there were some issues in this regard.:blowkiss:

Yes, such a simple detail! But nothing....

Perhaps it could not be verified. Who knows...i wonder how long McDonald's keeps video. Le may not have checked for it until they did a real search, later on.

I am not making myself clear sorry, but I always go by the timeline in these cases.

Mark"s - Timeline - go back to his own words

ETA - You need to add that time-line with the text, because it makes sense to all parties involved.

I don't see how this is going to bring Dylan home. I just don't see it.

If Mark took Dylan, he'd have to be with him or get someone else to take him for the duration. Mark is in town so he's not with Dylan. It would be different if Mark disappeared as well.

As in the McStay case, it's hard for me to believe that with no warning or planning that can be proven, people disappear without a trace, without one piece of evidence that gives an indication of which direction to think in. Abduction, foul play, voluntarily missing/runaway. It's one of those. There is nothing left. Which is it?? What do our clues show us??? And how will those help us find Dylan??

I can't believe that it's been that long. It makes me think of what I and most other Americans were doing at the time - making plans to enjoy the company of loved ones and a good meal for the holiday. Poor Dylan, for whatever reason, didn't get to enjoy any of that on Thanksgiving, and that's what makes me saddest.

What do you consider to be clues? I don't think the known facts are enough for people to agree on even that much. I, for example, think it is a clue that MR is
refusing to communicate with his ex or his son. I think it is a clue that Dylan's phone seems to have ceased all activity while he was in MR's care. I think it is a clue that he is rejecting media interest. I think his past behavior may be a clue, i.e. being accused of "menacing".

I honestly can not see Mark handing Dylan off to somebody as it just makes no sense .

Dylan is old enough to talk when released and so all that happens is Mark goes to jail and never gets to see Dylan again . So what's the point ?

I still think there was a unfortunate altercation on the Sunday evening and Dylan got injured and there was enough time to then cover it up IMHO.

MOO

For what it's worth , here is a video of a 'body language expert' . She is discussing the lance armstrong interview with oprah. For a MSM channel to call her an ' expert' is good enough for me. I will not sleuth her credentials. I thought it might be interesting for anyone who wants to ( and i will do it later today ) to go back and watch MR and ER's interviews after listening to what this woman says about lance armstrong. Many times it's been mentioned our own take on MR's body language but I don't know if any of us are experts.......in fact I bet we 're not ! :) So enjoy if you're so inclined. It would be interesting to see if several of us watch and draw the same conclusion.

I was just re-reading Nancy Grace transcript and just saw this:

GRACE: To you, Dan O`Donnell. Give it to me in a thumbnail. This little boy goes to visit Dad for Thanksgiving holiday. It`s about six hours away from here his mother and siblings now live. He gets there safely around afternoon, evening on Sunday before Thanksgiving, Monday morning dad heads out for errands, 7:30 a.m. Comes home four hours later, the boy`s gone.

What else do we know, Dan O`Donnell?

O`DONNELL: Right, well, the boy was last seen at 11:30, the father told investigators that he started his search on his own for about four hours, didn`t report him missing until the early evening on that Monday. The most bizarre thing about this case, though, Nancy, is that Dylan, a prolific texter as most 13-year-old boys are who have cell phones -- his phone was not used since 8:00 p.m. Sunday night. His phone was not even on after 8:00 p.m. Sunday night.

Anyone else notice this, the part I bolded in the last paragraph?

I don't think this reporter has his facts straight. Mark arrived back home at 11:30, but stated that Dylan was not there. So where is he getting that he was last seen at 11:30?

Curious.

So is it now been confirmed the phone was switched off after 8pm ?

Very good question! It is quite possible he doesn't have all the facts straight.

About the phone...I've heard 'off' and I've heard 'no activity'. There is a big difference (to me) between the two. If the phone just needed recharging would it be 'off'?

I'm thinking this is a mistake on his part. I 'm thinking he meant something more like ' he was discovered gone at 11:30 ' or something like that. LE said 7:30 am and I'd go with them over this guy . Just MO!

Good catch...

There could be several explanations:

1) He could have erred in his recall, got the time mixed up, and misspoke
2) He could have received incorrect information from his source (whatever/whoever that was) and repeated same
3) He could have unintentionally "slipped" and revealed something not yet made public
4) It could have been a transcription error from that show.

I'll have to try to find an actual video of the show and see if #4 can be ruled out.
