Remember there is no proof that this 9:37pm 'text' was sent by Dylan himself.

Yes, he has a brother half brother three step sisters

Do you know if he's close to any of them or are they estranged? I mean, I know we heard his brother came to visit but how close are they?

Well at least some of you folk can access Internet from work. I can but "the man" is watching from Admin. Yep they hired somebody to sit and monitor all day. Some fidiot a few years back was looking at 🤬🤬🤬🤬. I can work from home also. Thankfully.

Now that we have the times for Walmart & McDs, MR is caught in a lie. He stated to the press he told Dylan "no" about going to his friends after McDonald's but before going home. Yet Dylan is texting his friend that he can't go from Walmart.

that would explain DR's dejected appearance at walmart.

How do we know it was not via cell phone? Cell phone is an electronic device.

We don't know. That's why it is an issue.

What we know is that previously, it was reported that Dylan's last phone contact was around 8:00 p.m. ER also said that Dylan's last phone activity was around 8:00 p.m. ER has access to Dylan's phone records. Sooo, that means it is probable that ER didn't know about the last communication. Why wouldn't she know, if Dylan used his phone?

During the search of MR's house, LE found an iPod, a computer and I'm not certain what else - but these 2 items are electronic devices, consistent with LE's statement. We are all speculating that it was one of these devices that Dylan used and that is why ER had no record of the last activity.

I ask now, if you use your phone carrier's website to send a text, wouldn't that show up on your phone bill?

It seems to me, what ever Dylan did, it did not show up on the phone bill. What kind of text could he send that wouldn't show up?

Can you link this Dee? I'm not remembering it quite that way. I always had the impression it was somewhere between the airport and WalMart, but that appears to be wrong also.

Sure would help to know what the text was and whom it was send to.
We can rule out his mother and his Bayfield friend.

I think that LE might think that the 8:01pm text was the last communication to/from Dylan on his CELL PHONE. I don't think RN's 9:27 ever went through because the phone was toast before then. THEN there was an outgoing text from his Ipad at 9:37 but I don't think it was Dylan who sent it (my guess).

i agree with all that but I missed anything about a text later from DR from the ipod. can you clarify what that was?

RN sent the 9:27 text and it was never recv'd, right?

Where the heck is Paul???!!!! he may be able to sort this out lol Especially for peeps like me. I don't text. I have a cell. In my purse. I don't know my cell #. Nobody has my number (especially work) other than my kids and Hubby. I don't turn my cell on. I deem myself technologically illiterate when it comes to phones. I'm good with that.

Huh??? How would they know what a random person would be driving? Maybe if they had a specific POI, but they didn't say that, did they.

I just don't see this as being certain that MR is the only suspect/POI, I didn't get that from what I read at all.

How would they be drawn to another state to look or interview anyone without a POI in their sights? If they had a POI other than MR in their sights, then I would think they would not be saying about this 'gathering' on saturday...... we dont' agree or disagree, do waht you want ... basically to the family. I don't think the family would be wanting this gathering if they had info from LE that they were hot on the trails of some other POI.

After reading LE's timeline this is my take on it.

All the entries were of sightings except the last and this one was termed 'electronic device'. I think it simply distinguishes sightings from texts. I also think it is a typo and is the same information we have always had. jmo

I never ever knew you could send texts from a computer, never heard of it. That's news to me. Ya learn something new every day.

I've gotten phone calls to my landline from SKYPE !
You can do anything with a computer except scramble an egg !

You poor thing.

LOL it's all good. I do my reports from home. It's quieter. Every year we get a package of Procedure and Policy etc. etc. we have to sign. One of em is we will not access Internet sites other than approved by the Agency. Otherwise immediate dismissal.

I don't think we know. I know on iPhone you can set it where the text sent was read to the sender, but it would have to be another iPhone. I have mine turned off because sometimes I don't want to respond right away.

"Dylan had asked his father whether he could go to his friends' that evening after they had shopped at Walmart and eaten at a McDonald's in Durango and before the 45-minute drive to Mark's home north of Vallecito Lake. Mark said he told his son it was too late."

I find this 9:37 communication very interesting. Previously, MR said that D was very tired and went right to sleep because he had been up until 4am the night before.

So now we see there was a text just before 10 pm. So why didn't he use the texting technique, whatever means it was, to contact anyone the next morning?

that was RN's text TO DR which went unanswered, right?

Great. New information that could just as easily be used to draw inferences that something else possibly happened to Dylan is now being fused, fine-tuned, and tailored to implicate MR even more. This is a textbook case of confirmation bias.

I have been trying to keep an open mind through out all of this. In doing so I'd like to hear what easily drawn inference can be made from the new information that points to anything else. Tks !
