Has Elaine spoken to the media since LE released this new info last week?

Would love to hear her comments on LE's most recent statement.

So was ER aware of all the texts between Ryan and Dylan?

ER would know the incoming/out going texts times and the numbers from the bill. She has stated a few times 8:00 was the last time, that is why everyone is assuming the phone was shut-off, died, etc. at that time.

I guess that is why I lean towards the Ipod, computer or something else as it apparently didn't register on the bill and LE just states electronic communication.

Hey folks, since the family is planning a Beams of Hope type celebration for Dylan's upcoming birthday, I just lit a virtual candle and left a message for Dylan and wanted to share the group site in case anyone wanted to join in a show of support. I remember doing this for Caylee Anthony and thought it was such a nice idea.

Please feel free to drop on by and light a candle. The group name is Dylan's initials: DNR (if the link below doesn't take you directly there). If we can do nothing else, a show of support would probably be appreciated by the family.

If you click on the candles that are lit, you can read the messages and see where folks are lighting from...

Just thought I'd share this - from Nancy Grace.

It appears, according to Ellie Jostad, that ER has seen the phone records. I'm not sure if the "records" she saw contained the specific texts. Maybe we can ask AZGrandma if she knows or could find out.

NANCY GRACE: I`ve got another question. To you, Ellie, what do we know about this little boy`s texting? Did he have a cell phone? Did he text? Did he e- mail? What do we know?

JOSTAD: Yes, he did have a cell phone, according to his mom, Elaine Redwine. And she said, too, just the fact that -- according to cell records she`s seen, the fact that there was no activity on Dylan`s cell phone after 8:00 PM is very unusual. She says this is a tech-savvy kid who is always texting.

Interesting thought. I wonder if LE knows what time the device was turned off?

Ranch, I assume LE does know the time the device was turned off, and I found something from the first Nancy Grace interview which may be where others are getting that the phone was turned off around 8:00. This reporter/anchor had to get his information from someone/somewhere, but would LE tell him???

NANCY GRACE: What else do we know, Dan O`Donnell? (anchor and reporter, WTMJ)

O`DONNELL: Right, well, the boy was last seen at 11:30, the father told investigators that he started his search on his own for about four hours, didn`t report him missing until the early evening on that Monday. The most bizarre thing about this case, though, Nancy, is that Dylan, a prolific texter as most 13-year-old boys are who have cell phones -- his phone was not used since 8:00 p.m. Sunday night. His phone was not even on after 8:00 p.m. Sunday night.

Note: The same statement about the phone being turned off was also on the official FMDR site.

Why would LE try to keep secret (if they are) what time the phone was turned off, if they know? Unless this IS all about MR, I do not see how or why it would matter if that info was public, instead of kind of beating around the bush on it.

Thanks TxJan, that re-enforced in my mind that indeed his phone may have been out of commission at 8:00 as suspected, & the 9:27 text wasn't picked up, nor the 9:37 text, nor Ryan's or MR's texts on Sunday. So, I am back to believing Dylan's phone was out-of-service for whatever reason around 8ish. I am basing this on an assumption you can't be charged for receiving or sending anything IF your phone isn't even on or active. Once your phone is turned on, it's a another ballgame. Just My Guess

This is a nice tribute from WSers to the family. As the candle lights "disappear" after 48 hours, would we be able to refresh what's on the link?

Someone on the FMDR facebook page is posting that 9news will air a 9 wants to know story on Thursday.

So the phone was turned off after 8:00 PM but before 9:37PM? If so, how could it receive the 9:37 PM text?

I think we need to go back after 48 hours to relight. Maybe we can add the link on each of our posts in the signature line as a reminder ? I just tried to add it to my signature so we'll see if it shows up on this post!

That's been the 64 dollar question. It may not have been the "phone" that sent or received that last text. Maybe they got something from the ipod they took during the warrant search? I know there was talk about it previously in here but have to re-read what was said. Brain a little dead.

Getting "page not found" from the gratefulness.org link reminder on your reply post... so perhaps we have to "re-up" and do this as the 48 hours expiration gets closer...?

The only way I could see that being true is if the battery went dead on the way home, and he sent a text to someone from his ipod or MR's computer at 9:37. It just says the last communication, so there could have been others before the 9:37 one too. MOO

  • #936
I am not even sure that the message was send. By the way LE worded it, maybe an electronic device last received a message at 9:37 pm before being turned off.

His Friend Ryan texted

Dylan: (time 8:01 p.m. Nov. 18) yea
Ryan: Oh ok

Ryan: (Tme: 6:46 a.m. Nov. 19) Where are you
Ryan: (Time: 10 a.m. Nov. 19) Come to nandos.
Ryan: (time: 4:12 p.m. Nov. 19) Dude your dads looking for ou
Ryan: (Time: 7:59 p.m. Nov. 19) Are you alright dude?
Ryan: Dude you need to call somebody anybody asap we all worried about you your mom called and shes worried bro
Ryan: Seriously when you get the message call someone
---------- ---------- ----------- ------------- ----------- ----------

9:27 was the incoming message Ryan sent to Dylan's cell Sunday night,
At 8:01 PM Dylan's cell and Ryan were messaging quite a bit, then it stopped, and 9:27 Ryan sent a text that was never responded to from Dylan's cell.

Also from the back and forth between Dylan's cell and Ryan's, i notice it was odd, prior to that 8:01 PM time frame, Dylan responded 15-30 minutes after Ryan texted him.

At 6:43 PM Ryan and Dylan texted, and Dylan spelled (tommarow) this way,
And at the 8:01 texting Dylan's cell spelled it this way (tomarrow)
And another member commented about the message Dylan's cell sent
( Dylan: will you gma care or be up) the member thought it was unusual for a young teen to ask that type of question,

Just the way Dylan acted not responding to the messages from Ryan prior to 8:01 PM Then all the sudden Dylan's cell is quite active for a short burst of messages, then it quits after the quick back and forth with Ryan,
Then Ryan sends that message at 9:27 PM that went unanswered,
I believe that's why all the reports stated Dylan's cell quit pinging the towers at 8 PM, anyone could have sent or called his cell, but Dylan's cell was not responding to any cell tower.

That burst of back and forth texting around 8:01 and the different misspelling of the word tomorrow, plus the other members comment about the question Dylan's cell sent to Ryan, could the Father been the person responding using Dylan's cell at that point ?

Whatever happened was that evening, not the next day from the bad vibes I'm reading the way Dylan responded texting, The Father knows something, and I believe in time Law Enforcement will also come Public concerning that night as the cause of Dylan's Disappearance.

I hope that someplace in the back of their minds, some of the people,of the Fb page and others who have thrown themselves into Dylan's cause have at least considered the worst, or they may receive a very bad shock. It seems very unlikely he will simply "come home" and all will be well again.

I cannot imagine that anyone would be "holding" Dylan, especially via MR and that all of the LE resources have been able to figure out who. This person or persons would have had to drop out of sight at the same time as Dylan, and yet have been a person close to MR in order to even consider committing this kind of crime. It just is not feasible, IMO.

It may have been something I did accidentally. Let me check.

This guy also says he was last seen at 11:30, and I think we all know that's not the case.

I haven't seen them say that it was Dylan's cell phone anywhere.
