The one that makes the most sense to me (other than stranger abduction) would really be impossible to explain without it being obvious who I was referring to. For the record though, it isn't a member of the family.
very intrigued now

( Can You Hear Me Now? )
The above article is from 2006, so think about the Technology gained the past six years.
Thanks isn't enough for this excellent compilation. Small inconsistencies are not remarkable- change of language or a small detail remembered. IMO, these statements go beyond small changes and sound more like spin. I keep going back to the coincidences: Dylan arrives after a custody dispute and immediately vanishes, the cell phone going inactive, the backpack vanishing when there was never any indication that Dylan planned to sleep over with friends. My suspicions began as soon as I read MR had texted ER initially instead of calling, the first of several things that just didn't sit right. All MOO
To me this sounds like the FBI has the ability to "activate" or turn on a cell phone if it's off and use it to transmit signals to their listening post. MOO.

And he purchased that plane ticket for Dylan to visit him, the same day they learned that ER got full custody.
11/28/2012 Mark Redwine said he was going to give Dylan a ride to his friends house and tried to wake him up when he left Monday morning but said Dylan was out like a light.http://www.durangoherald.com/article/20121128/NEWS01/121129612

HESS: The dad said that Dylan had been up fairly late, the evening before he flew -- the night before he flew in to Durango. And he was really tired they had gone to bed. And that he had gotten up in the morning, stirred around the house, made some noise trying to get Dylan up, and Dylan didn`t want to get up and go into town at that time.
12/02/2012The next morning, Dylan was sleeping on the couch where Mark Redwine now sits and where Dylan's blankets still lie jumbled. Mark said he waited until 7:30 a.m. but still couldn't rouse his son, so he told him he would return about 11. When he got back at 11:30, his son's dirty cereal bowl was beside the sink. The television was on Nickelodeon. His son's fishing pole was gone. So was his black-and-gray backpack. A few articles of clothing were left behind on the couch.

12/03/2012 He was sleeping on the couch, and I told him I had to go about my errands, Mark Redwine said in a Sunday telephone interview. He said, OK, I understand. The focus for him was to go to his friends, but I live far back in the canyon. Theres a substantial distance between my house and the lake, so it doesnt make sense that he would walk out, but hes a 13-year-old boy, and who knows what they think sometimes?

9News - KUSA: Dylan Redwine I Blame Myself
Mark Redwine:
I do blame myself. I relive this 1,000 times, and every time, it comes back to I seen him laying on the couch and I didnt try hard enough maybe to wake him up, to have him come with me. I beat myself up over that constantly."
But thats not thats not helping me. And its not helping Dylan.

IMOO - this is what gets me, was he out like a light or asleep or awake enough to reply?
FWIW - I finally got smart enough to read all the postings before I log in so I don't double respond to something that has already been hashed out. Someone mentioned whether or not feelings/opinions would be different if ER had not made her statement on ABC.
My opinion, my gut instinct, ALL of that was determined long before ER made any statement on tv. That was formed about two days after hearing/reading about Dylan's disappearance in the first place. Everything after that moment has just added to it, no matter how hard I try to change that thinking, that initial thought, it just doesn't add up to anything else than more original fear.
Interesting post:rocker: When you say bizarre do have any ideas?:moo:
thank you for that. that's the fault of the person who wrote that article that these types of confusions continue. in order for that to work, they have to install a bit of software on the phone that causes it to wake up when a signal is sent to it from the fbi. in that case the phone doesn't actually shut off, it just appears to shut off. the article makes it seem like this is something that could happen to any phone, and that's not true.
here's a better article that mentions what i said about them having to install software on the phone first:
http://news.cnet.com/2100-1029_3-6140191.html
from the article: ""They had to have physical possession of the phone to do it," Porteous said. "There are several ways that they could have gotten physical possession. Then they monitored the bug from fairly near by." "
also: "An article in the Financial Times last year said mobile providers can "remotely install a piece of software on to any handset, without the owner's knowledge, which will activate the microphone even when its owner is not making a call." "
so unless dylan was under fbi surveillance and the fbi had a warrant to wiretap his phone, shutting off the phone does not result in any type of signal being generated. again, no snark towards you as i understand how confusing these things can be, especially with poorly written articles.

I understand that this raises suspicion but I also think he might have purchased the ticket just to cement the visit and thwart any further discussion about it. The purchase date alone doesn't make me think he was planning something nefarious.
Why so cryptic? If your theory isn't involving family members and you aren't naming names, then I don't see what the problem would be?
JMO and MOO
I really want to see Marks interview tonight. Friday morning can not come quick enough now.
It be great to have new things to discuss again. Even if we all disagree on what happened we all have the same end goal here-- Dylan home safe and sound

Yes, I agree that alone doesn't mean anything sinister but when you add it to everything else?
Will it be on tonight...I thought it was tomorrow?
I'm anxious to see it, I hope she is able to get some of our questions answered (even one or two) lol
