Someone explained early on the the phone will only show a time stamp if there's a significant lag in between texts (and this is consistent with what my phone does). I don't know how long this lag has to be for a new time stamp to show. But we can assume that the texts starting at 8:01 were pretty much back and forth. If this is really an important issue I can test it on my phone. LOL

What I learned from the interview - Mark is confident that texts could be sent from inside his house. Seems to reinforce questions about why Dylan did no texting or communicated with anyone Monday morning.

" NOT A SOCK" ER said this and the reporter said this as well. No trace of DR, not even a sock ! It cannot be both .

I thought she was talking about searching the area, not the home? Did I misunderstand that?

I tend to think a shirt or two was left behind, because we know that LE took some things for processing.

Also, the missing posters can't get the shirt he was wearing right, it seems. I think that is huge (although I realize I'm the only who does) and I noticed last night in the 9Wantstoknow description, they completely left off the description of the shirt.

In the wrap up of the interview, I thought the reporter said something about LE was able to get Dylan's Ipod email account info. Maybe that was in her twitter when she was answering questions?

I don't know, but I agree with you 100%. I don't think that last text was sent from his cell phone either.

I would really, really like to know what that last text said.

ita.. (you are correct about the ipod text acct I saw that reporter tweet on this thread as well)

considering he didn't answer back those other texts with his phone (which has been discussed) I think his phone broke or died so he sent a text on his ipod (to whom is the question)

bbm Wasn't that just sickening? MOO

The reporter said ( paraphrasing) we dont even know if dylan is DEAD or alive. And she made a giant emphasis, nearly yelled DEAD and I found it in the most disgusting taste. Why not say we dont know if he's alive or not. The emphasis on the word DEAD made it clear what their angle is. :( :(

bbm Ugh! I felt like it was a preview for a western - wanted dead or alive, we don't even know if D is dead or alive. I agree with you on the DEAD emphasis, it made me feel sick.

I do not know offhand the answer . I thought she said missing without a trace, not so much as a sock. But I could be wrong. The shirt thing is weird. I thought it was because they knew what he had on when he arrived but not necessarily what he might have put on in the morning ?

In the latest article they are very clearly saying nothing was left behind.
"Investigators say Dylan's cell phone has not sent out a signal since he vanished. A black Hurley backpack, containing all the clothes Dylan packed for his Thanksgiving visit, also disappeared."

They got the shirt thing wrong. He didn't have a Nike t-shirt on when he arrived.

I do believe Dylan used his phone in those later texts. What I am trying to say is if there was a significant lag in between texts there would have been a new time stamp.

I do not believe Dylan used his phone in the 9:37 text.

I say that would be a maybe. Without the timestamps there is no way in knowing.

I'm leaning on the iPod being used for the 9:37 PM text but that's also a maybe until confirmed by LE. MOO.

bbm Yeah, go ahead. No kidding. I was reviewing texts on my iPhone recently. I felt the conversation was over but the iPhone, over 30 minutes later, put the next text with no time stamp as if it were in the same conversation. I have wondered how much lag time would there need to be for a new time stamp to appear. I would like to see a time stamp by each text. Maybe that will change sometime in the future.

I think his phone was last used at 8pm
I think he used his ipod to send the other one.

If Mark is telling the truth, Dylan was sleeping on the couch Monday morning. So he wouldn't know what Dylan was wearing that day.

I thought Dylan was described by Law Enforcement as wearing the exact same clothes as what he was wearing on Sunday. Of course maybe he only had one shirt (which seems odd for a weeklong visit)

he said he went up to bed shortly after dylan was texting on the couch.

(I posted the link with the time on it upstream)

It looks like the video was edited. There's a stop and change of focus (not sure what you call it) after he talks about texting and before he says shortly after that he went to bed.

I think it's probably in that 'gap' that Mark talked to the reporter about the movie, and the 'shortly after that' is actually referring to the movie watching.

So slightly OT but not really. I just had my heart stop. :(
I rebooted super fast and when the new page loaded, there was Dylan's pic to the right as the ' featured ' I guess. Right next to it in the center is where it says in very bold print, KAREN TAIT HAS BEEN FOUND and for just a second my brain did a connection that is not true and I just saw HAS BEEN FOUND next to Dylan's pic . I really am too wrapped up in this. For a fleeting fraction of a second..........

That could be. I wish we could see all un-edited interviews.

Why wouldn't he know what he was wearing if he tried to wake him up for almost an hour ? But you know I don't think men pay as much attention to
clothing details. Just my opinion.

I am still confused on what exactly he was doing to wake Dylan up.
