Ok I have a question.
Im not phone savy like most of you but...
If he used his IPod there has to be WiFi right?
If he used his IPod to send this text this would not show up on phone records. There would be no record of this at all only on the i pod and the device that received the text.

I do not think there would be any record on any phone. This goes through wifi (wireless internet). But it is my understanding that with texting on an iPod you are assigned an actual email account which the text is processed through. Now that can be traced.

I have a Grandson that sends me texts through his iPod and when I receive the text it shows as coming from an email account.

The pronoun "I" needs to be given special focus in the subject statement. Most people will reply in the first person, i.e. "I". It's possible that the conversation (texts) went on for that long. I just read that although the phone may not date stamp each text the phone stores this information. I wonder if LE and/or Elaine could see the exact times of these texts from the provider info?

I believe you can every text every call when it was made and sent.
providers keep more records now of this stuff just because of crimes so yes they can see times'

But if its on an Ipod I think there is only a record on the other person phone
I dont know how they would track a text sent from an I pod my kids do it.

Maybe this person heard there was no activity after 8 and said hey I got one at 9 37.

I going back to the first interviews he used past tense alot. Its an interesting little atricle. Im looking for more about lying and telling the truth.

There was a tv show called Lie to me! Im going to have to go back and watch that, they tell you what to look for when ppl lie

open mindedly and without pre conceptions ! I feel much LESS suspicious
about MR today than I did a week ago. Does anyone else feel that way ?
I mean it's totally suspicious all of the circumstances and changing things
and I get that he's the most logical poi at this moment. But I do not feel
as much like he's a " fill n the blank " as I did a week ago. To me, he fared
well in the interviews. Still don't think the redeyes are from tears though .

per the story last night on 9 news.

This is all we got from LE.

So they are saying Dylan made it to his dad's house. But why didn't the dogs pick up his scent or if they did, why hasn't LE said where that scent led?

Was there anyone else there on Sunday evening? A friend of Mark's?

If LE thinks he may have been abducted, why are they so quiet to the public about that possibility? Should other kids/parents in the area be concerned?

I am not Ranch, but I think he meant what specific question about the phone did you have.

My personal questions to Mark Redwine concerning the phone would be:
1) did Dylan's phone break or need charged?
2) did he plug his charger in?
3) did you see Dylan texting on his ipod?
4) did you see Dylan's phone before you left that morning?

I have another question for Mark. Did Dylan complain about poor cell phone service at your house?

So LE believes there is a good chance Dylan was abducted by a stranger? Boy, they could have fooled me for the past two-plus months.

If so, this one goes unsolved, IMO. I did not get the impression at all that they have a suspect in this theoretical abduction.

The last text on Dylan's phone was NOT at 8:01. The conversation STARTED at 8:01. Just wanted to clear that up because I keep seeing this being said over and over (and at one time that's what I thought too).

It seems to me that LE seems convinced that Dylan did make it to MR's home. I hope their reasons for believing this are more than just the 9:37 text. I have to assume they have ping records for Dylan's phone (and probably MR's) and hopefully they confirm this too.

If they truly believe he may have been abducted then I would say yes, parents need to be concerned.

Was the backpack Dylan's only luggage? I realize he was carrying the backpack in the airport surveillance picture. I just wonder if there was also any checked luggage?

I really wish Michelle Blasius/9News would put the entire raw interview video online after the second segment airs tonight, even if the raw video is over 2 hours long (Youtube allows videos up to 10 hours long). We've seen many other news outlets make raw video available, it is done fairly often.

Well, I've pretty much given him the benefit of the doubt so far - only because there doesn't appear to be any evidence pointing towards him so far, and the fact that LE have confirmed all of his locations on the night and morning in question.

However, watching the interview, I admit I think he did better than I was expecting from what other people had been suggesting.... if that makes sense?

I'm no expert, but I've seen appeals in the past where I've instantly thought "he's lying" or "he's the one who did it" etc, and MR does not give off those vibes in my opinion.

He keeps very good eye contact, no scratching of his head/rubbing his nose, rapid blinking or any other of the usual involuntary things someone often does whilst lying. He doesn't look away, or roll his eyes up as people sometimes do when they are trying to remember a previous lie. He answers the questions fluently without long pauses and does come across as entirely plausible in my opinion.

Of course, none of it still makes any sense and the timeline still points to something happening on the Sunday night. Totally baffled.
