Both of my boys have/had iTouches. My oldest no longer has one, but when he did, he used TextNow, an app that assigned him a number to text. My youngest, who just got one for Christmas, uses an email address to text. It's an address I set up for him, and I have the password. I just logged in to see if it shows any texts sent or received, and there's nothing. I wonder how they can trace that.

I'm thinking about Dylan laying down on the couch Sunday night and his phone dying.

Ever need to plug your phone in, but you won't be able to reach it from the couch to continue texting while it is plugged into the wall? (outlet across the room)

Could this be why he may have just picked up his Ipod and started messaging from that? The question is, why did the phone never turn back on?

Did Dylan mean to plug the phone in before he fell asleep, but failed to do so? Did he plug the phone into the wall & not realize it was not charging (faulty outlet, kaput battery, ??)?

Just thinkin.. :waitasec:

So then he would of used the iPod logic dictates the following morning . Both would not of broken during the night .

Yes.... I agree with you.

One of the reasons I think Mark is behind this is because Dylan cared enough to ask about R's grandma and being there at 6:30am . So he is a kind and considerate teenager one would think from the texts . And yet that all goes out the window by not texting of calling R the following morning . Am I really meant to believe Dylan's personality traits changed within 12 hours and he became selfish and gave no thought to his friend who was waiting on him ?!

I don't think that if Dylan overslept and didn't try to contact his friend before something happened to him (by someone other than Mark) that it would make him inconsiderate. It would be beyond his control. MOO.

But if I am to believe Mark then Dylan had time to contact R . Dylan watched tv and had breakfast before he set out .So then he would of rung R I think if he could of .

Maybe his stomach compelled him to eat before trying to contact his friend and then something happened. In my opinion the lack of communication is not proof of Mark's guilt or of Dylan being inconsiderate. MOO.

I really wish Michelle Blasius/9News would put the entire raw interview video online after the second segment airs tonight, even if the raw video is over 2 hours long (Youtube allows videos up to 10 hours long). We've seen many other news outlets make raw video available, it is done fairly often.

Maybe we should all e-mail her a request.

Most 13 yr olds multi-task. He could have texted WHILE eating cereal and watching cartoons. Mine usually did.

I agree that he could have done that. I think that this case is full of "what if's", "maybe's" and "it's possible" but there's less in the way of hard facts. MOO.

Does anybody know if they will show more of the interviews with Mark and Elaine tonight?

i still can not believe how little they actually showed us .

  • #793
If they want to get some ratings, 9news should do an actual 30 minute or, better yet, a 60 minute segment on Dylan. That reporter says she has 2.5 hours of interviews.

IDK about showing any more tonight. But Melissa said on Twitter that they will not be posting the full 2.5 hrs of footage online. It's unfortunate. While I'm sure LE has access to all of it, I would so love to see the full extent of these interviews-- imagine how much more information we could glean from seeing them in their entirety, and IN context.

Wish they had done a 2 hour special or something with all the footage they got.

Can someone with twitter ask her, since shes' not going to release all of the footage if she herself could put up a transcript at least? That would be about as useful ! TxJan will gladly transcribe for her if she doesn't want to do it ! :)

Such a shame that we will never get to see all of it. I wonder why they cut it down so much when they spent over 2 hours with him.

Could she just release all the footage to us? We'll hash it out better than the investigators.

I deleted a messed up post, so I am trying again.

Maybe they are planning on putting together a special using all of the interviews. I hope so. jmo

No doubt. It would be a public service.
2.5 hrs of uncut footage + WS = case solved !
