And now that we KNOW he could text from the house, and his phone was fine that night, and not left in the truck, or lost in the yard---it makes even less sense that he never texted his friends that morning. If he had time to watch cartoons and eat cereal then he had time to reach out to his buddies that were waiting for him. JMO

Where are we getting that Dylan's phone was fine that night?

Could it have been incoming rather than outgoing?

Thanks Tennlyn for bringing back around what IMO is the most obvious and likeliest meaning of the 9:37pm last electronic communication..

IMO(and to be clear I'm not attempting to insinuate this is necessarily your opinion..more so jumping off from your point above) I have yet to find any evidence that Dylan Redwine ever made any OUTGOING communication to ANYONE shortly after 8pm..

IMO the 9:37pm last electronic communication could be incoming text and/or ping..either or both representative of the very last trace ever of Dylan Redwine's cell phone..

again moo!

From MR saying Dylan was texting when MR retired for the evening at 10:30, after the movie I suppose. MR must have believed the phone was fine if it's true that he tried texting Dylan all afternoon after he arrived home at 11:30 Monday morning.

Exactly. MR says Dylan was on the couch texting and MR went to bed shortly after that. And then MR says he tried to text Dylan on Monday. So MR doesn't appear to be aware of any issues with the phone.

Yes. Could be no texts or calls whatsoever.

Sorry. I could guess or assume along with others, but on the pings, I'm going to wait to hear from LE definitively when they stopped.

That's fine, but if you stop to think about it, Ryan's 9:27 incoming text didn't register on Elaine's bill, nor Ryan's or MR's texts the next day. It makes sense to me the phone was off or broken and therefore no activity on the cell phone whatsoever.

and don't forget the SO at the camp grounds

The SO at the camp grounds could be a prime suspect...being located so close.... And probably knowing the area so well...

I imagine he has been ruled out... But how much is LE allowed to investigate/interview homes of SO's.....

I know SO's seem to be getting more rights than victims in too many cases!

I'm having a bit to say today I know :blushing: - I haven't had the stomach to post much for a while, but the latest clips have given me food for thought, and maybe a couple of answers to some lingering doubts.

Anyhoo - about the perceived change of story between Dylan being out like a light, and acknowledging he understood what his dad was saying ...
I have one of these boys myself - a very solid sleeper who will of course get up when called to shower and get ready for school, but on weekends - forget it. I can talk at him for ages about what needs to be done when he gets up, and I just know he understands what I am saying (though he will sometimes later say he didn't hear me at all, but I just don't buy it -_-)

While refusing to be shaken awake he will however respond with a grunt or a cranky "Yes mum!" when I persist and demand an answer.

IMO it's likely that MR met with this same kind of resistance and responses from his overtired son on Monday morning. Who knows how many hours sleep he had between going to bed at 4:30am on Sunday morning and having to be up and ready for his travels that same day? The actual plane trip may not have been a long one, but allowing time for trips to and from the airport, not to mention check in requirements, it would add up to a good part of the day involved in some sort of travel and/or waiting around. No matter what your age, that on top of no sleep the night before would make anyone sleep like a log the following night.

I think that it's more than likely that at 10:30 Dylan was playing a game on his iPod and Mark mistakenly thought that he was texting.

Maybe Mark did believe that Dylan's phone was working fine because Dylan never told him otherwise. MOO.

Not having a working phone would be a major issue for any teenager.
Especially one traveling. So I find that hard to believe.

I'm thinking something happened to Dylan sometime after 9:37 on Sunday and before Mark got up the next morning.....wish we knew how Mark was acting on Monday during his errands

from the interview on 9 news:

Mark Redwine:
He was texting on the couch. Shortly after that I ran up and went to bed, and I
I get up to go run my errands because I had a payroll issue. I spent 45 minutes an hour trying to get Dylan to wake up, but he wasn’t having no part of it

BBM

But now we know they supposedly watched a movie until 10:30....can't wait to see the uncut interviews....

Seems Mark is running around and digging himself into a hole....I still think he knows where Dylan is and what happened.....

I think LE knows too (and I think some other people are slowing finding/figuring it out)...JMO/MOO

I also believe that Dylan would have gotten up and went with his dad to Bayfield Monday morning because he was anxious to see his friends or he would have texted them as soon as he woke up to let them know he would be there later.

LE keeps narrowing the time down concerning Dylan's communication to let someone know.....

Why is Mark getting so involved now (attorney advice)???

Why would it be a major issue if he had his iPod to use?

Sorry to be nosey... But has any Websleuther contacted this person on FB?

and.... If so....what did the person want?

TIA

Me too. It would be a huge issue. And if it was not a problem, i.e he could have texted another way, he would have. And apparently, he could have done, but he did not.

In no way do I believe he was going to set out without finding out where R was, where his dad was, if anyone could get him to his friends sooner than planned.

I've thought the same thing - Dylan could have been curled up on the couch tapping away and his dad mightn't have noticed the difference. The phone could well have been on the charger by then - I'd be very surprised if his phone wasn't completely out of charge by then after a day of heavy texting while Dylan was amusing himself while traveling/waiting for his flight etc.

I still find it hard to believe that R was the only friend Dylan was in communication with that day - IMO there are other conversations which haven't been disclosed.

Recent article says 9:37 pm was an outgoing communication.
http://www.9news.com/news/article/314078/42/What-happened-to-Dylan-Redwine

Thanks jjenny. Do we have LE stating that Dylan's text message sent/outgoing was sent from his phone, iPod, etc at 9:37pm?

because I know that LE stated that the last electronic communication 9:37pm and I'd just not seen where LE actually gave more detail in stating for certain that it was outgoing text message..

I do realize that the latest article attributes these additional details as from the mouths of LE.. but I personally had not seen where we have LE actually stating these specifics..

for example immediately after LE stating the last electronic communication 9:37pm, there were people immediately making the assumption of it being outgoing text AS FACT with at that point in time LE had not even said or press released such..

this is why I did not immediately run with such and just wanting to know that at this point the same assuming isn't happening.

TIA to anyone who knows:)

all jmo.

IMO about a ,0000001% chance of someone passing by.
If anything, more likely to be a local who saw MR leave alone.

Maybe MR arranges his outdoor area when Dylan visits....

For instance he dusts off and oils the bike and places it outside...

Takes out some athletic equipment....

These could be signs that a local perv could/would notice.... And recognize MR was having his son come visit?

I am just trying to throw out ideas so that I don't get tunnel vision...
