can you please paraphrase for us non-FB people? Thanks!

1- did anyone see hitchhikers on the roads near dad's on day Dylan disappeared

2- look at drainage ditches today and under overpasses for clothing or anything unusual

3- long post about he's not doing this for money, has been PI since 1998, is death case certified, wants media to help

For me, I'm not trying to shoot the messenger, but to keep track of accurate info. The info in the post you quoted is inaccurate. The reporter didn't say no cell activity after 9:37. Here's her twitter so you can check it -

Bender didn't say no cell activity after 9:37 in the video or article. Nobody said no cell activity after 9:37 in the video or article. Txjan's transcript is linked not too far back, and here's the article and video -

You may want to add this on, too:

Dylan sent text messages throughout the evening. Investigators say the last text went out at 9:37 p.m.

Investigators say Dylan's cell phone has not sent out a signal since he vanished.

The PI on FB is asking for information about hitchhikers and searches of ditches/overpasses in the Durango area. Why the Durango area? Isn't that pretty far away from MR's house?

I am wonder what has changed/been said that MR is now, after 2 months, finally doing something to help find Dylan?!?!

MOO, JMO, and all that JAZZ

Maybe because he doesn't think Dylan ever made it to the house? That something happened after McDonalds and Walmart.

I have a question that I don 't know has been answered or not......is it possible Dylan forgot his cell phone charger from his mom's house?

I would say highly doubtful as the family would of found it after Dylan left . Besides I would of thought Elaine checked his bag to make sure he had everything . Most parents do this as we always forget something and so its a safety precaution unless you want your child ringing you up and asking you to drop it (this is from my experience as a child )

Or we could just not call it hitchhiking - he could have just set off walking on his own. Sick of waiting for dad and wanting to at least get moving - it could have even been very close to the time dad said he would be home. Restless and impatient teens are not necessarily completely rational when they want something.
:moo:

This fits with what I think I have read about MR telling Dylan he would be home at 11:00 but he actually got home at 11:30. Dylan could have figured he would meet his dad on the road, since there's only one way in.

  • #389
But why wouldn't an impatient teen contact his friends to say he was on the way, and maybe see about a ride?

Maybe he didn't text that he was on his way because it was too early in the morning? He didn't want to wake his friends until he was actually there? MOO

When will people stop taking their cell phones along on crimes and planning all the crime details with their phones? Doesn't anyone watch TV ? Honestly I'm surprised that anyone gets away with murder these days because the electronic age has made it pretty impossible. The cameras on all streets and bridges showing people driving over to this town or that before , during and after a murder is committed:cupcake::cupcake: and then they claim they were in W Virginia all weekend but you can see clearly they drove to Atlanta on cameras .

On the other hand, all this technology and the CSI effect have made purely circumstantial evidence based prosecutions harder for juries to accept. I think that's a large part of why LE is less hesitant to make arrests without solid forensic evidence. JMO.

Happy Birthday TennLynn! :cupcake:

Mom said he had his phone, phone charger, iPod and iPod charger.

There are quotes from ER verifying Dylan's charger was with him. I know everyone will give 10x reasons why this might not be correct, so I suppose you have to decide whether or not to believe mom. JMO

His friend RN texted him at 6:40 (something around there) asking where his was.

His friend R already texted him very early Monday morning, so this would not have been an issue. Text messages don't make much noise. JMO

How was it too early in the morning when his friend NR was already texting him before 7:30 am asking where he was? And Dylan was supposedly still sleeping at 7:30 am since that's when MR claims he left to do his errands.

I think it's called public pressure.

I don't think he really has a choice if he wants anyone to believe he's innocent.

My take is
#1 I'm just happy to see him trying to find Dylan
#2 If he's guilty of anything it will be much more apparent with him out in the public and talking. Eventually he will slip up (if he is guilty) or I think it will eventually become more obvious that he's innocent (if that's the case)

I'm waiting to hear when he schedules that 2nd polygraph.

GRACE: OK, so that`s normal. What about the cell phone and the backpack and other belongings?

REDWINE: It was my understanding from his dad that everything Dylan had was in his backpack including his cell phone, his iPod, his iPod charger, his cell phone charger, all of his clothes. So we had to actually make a trip to get some of Dylan`s clothes from where we live in Colorado Springs because it was my understanding there were no clothes at his dad`s house.

Oopsicrapedmypants? Really?

crapped isn't even spelled right. But really tacky not to know how to spell Dylan if you ask me. But hey...if he's willing to try to help find him...more power to him! I don't figure it can hurt can it?

It is my understanding MR also invited a lady with dogs over there? Again, why wait 2 months? I think its clear to everyone dogs work best when the scent is fresh.
