Not sure why the movie matters so much? I feel sure LE has checked it out, if it was rented, or able to be verified. I can't imagine MR would invent what movie they watched without at least making sure it had been on that night.

That's why the mods keep asking for links to some of these statements. Some of them have been talked about so much, they are presented as fact when they are not.

We don't know that Dylan was FORCED or did not want to visit his father.

We don't know where the fishing pole came from, let alone that it was bought at Wal-Mart that night.

It has been said numerous times that Mark got drunk yet we don't know that he had been drinking at all.

It's also been stated over and over again the Mark got mad at Dylan for texting and that Mark has anger issues. We don't know that for sure.

It just gets confusing sometimes because things are said so often, they now appear as fact and not disputed anymore. I've seen regulars post that even they are confused as to what is fact and what is speculation after seeing it so often.

We all have a right to speculate because no one really knows what happened. But it's also suppose to be based in the facts we do have. I'm not a mod either and I certainly am not trying to hinder anyone from speculating what they think happened. We all have ideas and they are all worth throwing out there and looking at. I apologize if I came off that way because that's not my intent at all, it's just to separate the facts from fiction because we are going to hopefully find Dylan based on facts and go down the path that leads us to him. JMO, MOO, IMO etc.

Apologies in advance if this is redundant....but, is cable even available in such a remote location? Nik, do you know?
Perhaps MR has satellite?

No idea... sorry! Although MR did say in an interview that the TV was on Nickleodeon when he got home, so I'm thinking he must have satellite or cable of some sort.

In case it was confusing, the Redbox kiosks I checked were where I live in California near Sacramento, so nowhere near DR, MR, etc. I checked to see if it was available here, trying to get an idea if Redbox tends to stock the movie in general.

I agree that it doesn't matter much, unless LE did not hear about the movie until the latest interview with News 9. As other sleuthers have noted, this was the first time any of us heard about a movie, in contrast to D being so tired that he just needed to sleep. Following MR's first account, all they had time for was to throw a nerf ball and maybe chat a bit. So the question imo is whether this is an "addition" to the timeline, that might have originated with LE's introduction of Dylan's 9:37p communication.

Agree, but we have no way of knowing if it was news to LE, unless they told the reporter.

I don't know how to post the twitter but the reporter said the movie was purchased at Walmart in the five dollar bin. I'll cut and paste as soon as i figure out how to, when i get home

:floorlaugh:

you and me both! This was my first ever tweet, but I wonder if an answer (if there is one) would come to my email?

I had a little bird on my phone, so i guess a little Birdie told me

I don't think I can watch any of the uncut interviews tonight. I have been watching a few hours of Jodi Arias's testimony and I am feeling nauseous enough already.

I agree. My Dylan has been sick. Not sure I am in the frame of mind for MR.
