You do what you have to do!
You MAKE time!
Call in sick for 2 days
Ask for two days off
Sorry cant make excuses not to see your child.

JMO

I'm catching up so this reply is from an earlier post, prior to all the Dr. Phil discussion.

Related to taking time off to see his son, while I understand your point, sometimes you don't exactly have a choice. You call in sick 2 days in a row every few weeks to see your child and you may very well not have a job before long. Not to mention no means to send child support (if he is paying CS, not sure). Maybe he does ask for what time he can? He saw Dylan at Labor Day and Thanksgiving right? School holidays for Dylan that I'm assuming MR took off from work.. I could be wrong but it makes sense.

(and in more current 'news' I agree he could probably take a couple of days off for the Dr. Phil thing if he wanted to- my post above was specific to how often he can/does have Dylan for overnight or longer visits)

Actually I have seen so much focus on Dylan since the 9News story last week. I live in Colorado, there were THREE vigils last night for Dylan's birthday in Colorado as well as one in New Mexico. I've seen pictures of Elaine and Cory praying and crying at the vigil. In 80 days we've hardly seen Mark at all. I doubt anything on Dr. Phil would change anyone's opinion either way about Mark. But imagine the good that can come from MILLIONS of people learning about Dylan!

I don't think the Dr. Phil show is expecting any big ratings increase since there aren't too many people out there who knows about this case, and who would tune in to watch it. I think the producers view this episode like any other episode that they've had in the show's history.
You right. More reason for them to want a nice promo showing a family screaming and yelling. That would help draw some extra viewers.

Just my opinion, but I don't see MR appearing anywhere that he might have to answer a question without circular reasoning and spin. I don't care if that is with a private mediator or on a famous talk show. The man hasn't given a straightforward answer yet and I don't expect that to change in the future. I just wish the FBI would have another go at him. MOO

I'm sure LE pinned him down in their interview. Somehow I think they're probably just as nitty gritty as Dr. Phil. JMO

'Circular reasoning and spin' is not the same as 'his answers are not in line with my own presuppositions'. He has been forthright with everyone he has sat down with, and evidently LE as well. That some don't like those answers may be tough for them to swallow, but they certainly aren't 'circular reasoning' or 'spin'. IMO.

I would like to believe that because that is my professional experience with LE, however, in this case I have serious doubts and my confidence level in that community's LE is diminishing by the day. MOO

All I can say in reference to any of this is that he is very, VERY, lucky that I'm not his ex and Dylan isn't my son because the target on his back would be so large it would span the entire country. I don't think this man understands how much worse this could be for him. ER is restrained as far as I'm concerned. And this is MY OPINION.

I could not agree more.. and IMO that luck will eventually run dry.. a 13 year old son does not just up and disappear and people just nonchalantly laze about while awaiting the parent/guardian/adult in charge to decide he wants to share every last minute detail 10,000times over until he is found..

IMO it may take so much painstakingly longer having to go this route that Elaine and Cory are being forced to have to take.. but the truth will be brought forth and Dylan will be found!..

jmo!

Dr. Phil will demand straight answers and watch out if something doesn't make sense or doesn't add up. No, I can't see him going.

Straight answers and not adding up in whose opinion? Phil McGraw's ?? He always pits one side against the other. And he knows nothing about this case because no one knows much about this case. He probably only knows about the animosity between MR and ER and he will jump on that. JMO

OT, locally we have a big manhunt going for a former LAPD officer who has killed 3 people and shot several others. Two innocent women who were delivering newpapers in the early morning were shot by police in Torrance because they were in a truck similar to the one of the former police officer.

He was fired and is now on a rampage to kill every officer and their family members who were involved in him getting fired from his job. This is craziness. The police around here are on high alert and the whole area is like an armed camp.

They found his burned out truck up at Big Bear.

But the public hasn't seen any of the LE interviews. If Mark goes on Dr Phil, they can pick apart every word and gesture that he makes. MOO.

Your opinion only. Not mine...or many other's. And perhaps you would like to explain some of the latest discrepancies we all noted when we viewed the uncut video? Couldn't even understand the answer with all the spin following the question. Man talks in riddles and spews nonesense.

Okay. Yes, the fact that he won't do the show unless both parents show up speaks volumes. The producers are probably praying they they agree, and then get into a yelling match on stage.

Who said he won't do the show unless both parents show? I read Elaine and Cory are going with or without him.

Fair enough, but wasn't the FBI involved in his official interrogation?

Tonto, I'm not a man but I'm empathetic to other people. I have the capabilities of putting myself in someone else's shoes and looking at it from their point of view. IA w/u. I would not engage her after calling him out on national TV that he harmed their child. She put a target on his back and he's the one who has had to live with that target she painted on him, not her.

To go on a show like that with Dr. Phil will psychoanalyze each other them is not going to get their son back, for sure. It's an open forum for both ER and CR to make more digs and more attacks on him. I would not do that if I were him. If he thinks doing it is going to change things and get her to stop accusing him, I doubt it. She's made her agenda perfectly clear. IMO, JMO, MOO and whatever else.

Totally agree!

I watched the uncut video and I don't recall any discrepancies. Mark may have rambled a bit but I had no problem understand the points he was trying to make. MOO.

Thinking since there are obvious differences of opinion as far as Dr. Phil goes. Maybe we should pass around some cookies, or wine, or something so we don't get the thread shut down. :truce:

Yeah, we all got the "point". Too bad we didn't get any answers. MOO

EXACTLY and I hope he goes for that very reason so LE can do just that.
