Ok, I'll shoot it full of holes myself :-}
If LE has the computer with some kind of evidence that Dylan had used it, then it would be better for MR to say that Dylan WAS in his room.

Told you I'm confused...but I still think there was some reason for stating D was not in his room.

Haha yes I thought this. Didn't want to blow up your theory though :)

When he's talking about picking up snacks, the movies he seems to be talking normally and answering the question normally. But then he goes on to
"one of those movies is the one we watched.....pause.....the night.....pause......you know.......pause.....we were together"

BBM

Who talks like that??? Wouldn't you say one of those movies is the one we watched that night?
We all know (and the reporter knew) exactly what night was being discussed so why the need to throw that in there?

Because he was trying NOT to say "the night he disappeared"? MOO!

Speculation on my part, too of course, but it does make sense, especially in the context of how many times MR bought up Dylan wanting to spend time with his friends. All MOO

To me, the 'friends' and how important the friends were to Dylan and to MR and how MR understood this, is blown way out of proportion. And to me, IF there was an argument or disagreement of any kind it was about the friends. It's just way over emphasized and over exaggerated.

I'm not sure on all the rules here yet and if need be please remove mods, but there is a link about a statement analysis of MR on the FMDR page. kinda interesting.

We aren't allow to link to or discuss the statement analysis blog although I wish we could.

I sure hope MR goes on Dr Phil. Or at the very least Elaine and Cory do and Dr Phil gets to analyze the uncut interview.

I still can't figure out what he exactly said there. It's either "one of the movies we were to watch" or "one of the movie's we would've watched". It's at about the 11:35 mark of the video.

An LO brought this up yesterday and we both have no idea if this was discussed a million times already:

Why did Dylan have on his backpack at Walmart???

Could he already have been on his own at that point? Is there real proof positive that they even went to McDonald's together?

You can't figure it out because he fumbled through it. I think he started to say 'would've watched'. GOOD CATCH!

Actually I put my good headphones on and listened again. He does stumble but he says 'one of the movies we would watch'.

Which is one of the movies we would watch...you know...the night we were together.

So strange....

It sounds like "would've watched", but either way that is VERY interesting. Wouldn't you just simply say "we watched".

Yes! Most people would say 'one of the movies we watched that night' not 'one of the movies we would watch the night we were together'.

Please see post 176 in this thread.

A message left on Mark Redwine’s cell phone Friday was not returned. The telephone at his residence at 2343 County Road 500 rang until it cut off.

This is from TxJan's transcript:

You know, Dylan … wanted to throw in a few videos that he found in the $5 bin, so we threw those in -- which is one of the movies we would watch that night … you know… when we were together… and… you know…I mean there wasn’t a whole lot of things we needed.

 • #336
Then he goes on to say, "we would've arrived here about...

Wouldn't most people say 'we arrived here about'? Not we would've. We would've sounds like he is saying if the story went like this then we would've arrive here about. It's like instead of recollecting the events as they happened he's recollecting the events as they should have happened.

Now if at this time he is recollecting them being in Walmart and talking about the fact that Dylan found a couple of movies in the $5 bin and they were planning to watch one of those movies that night. Wouldn't he say that? It seems like he needed to make a point that they did watch one of the movies that night.

That was my EXACT CHILLING THOUGHT after hearing this:

Mark Redwine:
"Well, we had talked about a couple things … he was here for such a short time, we didn’t have anything nailed down, you know, I anticipated and was correct in assuming he wanted to spend time with his friends, so that Monday, Tuesday… Wednesday was kind of up in the air because that was the day we could either travel to Colorado ….err not Colorado Springs but Castle Rock where my brother lives, ‘cos he had made mention about wanting to go over there, …or he could hang out with his friends and come up here, you know… just the two of us would spend Thanksgiving and then he could focus on spending the rest of the time he was here with his friends.. you know... I mean… I just wanted him to be happy. So, when he wants to spend time with his friends I get that – I understand that. I have no problem with that.

All I need to know is that he’s safe and where he’s at, and how to get a hold of him, and it’s likely I’ll pop in on him -- Check to make sure he’s at where he says he’s at. Those things were important to me. You know… when he’s with me – it’s me and him, with the exception of his friends. You know… I know those are important to him, but … you know… I monitor what he does, where he’s at. You know… it’s just me and him. There’s not people coming and going in my life ‘cos everything I focus on is him and us being together spending that time."

Ok here I am to throw MR a bone again......... because let's face it, he needs all the help he can get ! I have met lots of people in my life who are not highly intelligent. When they are speaking to people they think are intelligent and they want to ' fit in' or not been seen as less than intelligent , they speak and say weird things. They think they are speaking more intellectually and sounding like an equal with the other person , but they actually end up sounded even less intelligent than if they hadn't tried so hard. Did that make sense?
Could that possibly be what we've seen with him?
I agree he says all kinds of weird things and I remember very early on thinking he's like half very smart and half very NOT smart and one sentence may seem really well thought and the next one who you fail and english class for . So just throwing that out there. It might explain his speaking style .......that he's afraid he's not too smart and he doesn't want to come across as not too smart to the viewers. Thoughts ?

While I find MR suspect (mostly due to DR's cell phone stopping and that he was the last person to see DR), he comes across to me as not being articulate and maybe a bit shy.

All I can say is if MR had something to do with his son's disappearance, he pulled off a near-perfect crime... so far. Be assured LE is keeping an eye on him, but it's been nearly 3 months with nary a solid clue. Sounds to me that LE is either building a case OR they are stumped. MOO.
