Yes so that places Mark there with Dylan for that last text message.
I believe he said, and I am paraphrasing, he was texting or doing something on his phone. jmo

And we all know how ER feels about MR. To put two people face to face who have not even texted in over two months I think would be a disaster. People will come away from that show only rembering two parents who hate each other and the poor child caught in between the two. Probably won't even remember the state. jmo
But will viewers remember Dylan's face or name after the show if the focus is on Mark and his ex wife's current relationship?
Didn't he say 10-10:30ish? And I thought Dylan was texting on the couch as he ran up to bed?
How much different is it really from seeing a flyer on a store though really?
But, I would think that viewers would come away with what we all have over the last three months, which is where in the world could he have disappeared to? I don't necessarily think the "War of the Roses" relationship is a distraction, especially for Dr. Phil's viewers, who possibly thrive on the strife. I think it can be framed as, yes, the parents are warring but WHERE IS DYLAN in all of this?

But my feeling is that viewers would think one of them knows, so they (viewers) don't need to worry about him.
I would guaranty that DR Phil would go pretty hard at Mark but I seriously doubt that he would do the same to Elaine. In order to generate some conflict Dr Phil would need to have a villain and a good guy. Mark would be the obvious choice for the villain and Elaine would be the good guy. MOO.
To put the focus of the show on Dylan, I think MR should go on alone. Dr Phil could have recorded segments with ER and CR and then have them Skype in if there was something they felt the need to add.
Callous bas___ds! Maybe, but I'd like to think they would be intrigued, as we are, as all of the FB followers are, as to what really happened to Dylan. Can any one of us really do anything but parse through the information and hope that we find that one damning clue? That one piece that would bring Dylan home? The more eyes the better, IMO, and I think that this national coverage can only bring more eyes.
I thought he said that Dylan was texting or maybe playing a game. I would imagine it would be hard to tell without looking close up to the screen of whatever device Dylan was using. MOO.
I thought he said texting then later on he said he wasn't sure what he was doing. I could be wrong.
BBMI think it's different because it reaches a much larger audience which matters if Dylan is out there alive somewhere. I think it's different because it possible will show inconsistencies in MR's timeline (or lack thereof) and cause many more people to scratch their head. This show would be seen by hundreds of thousands of people; much more coverage that the flyers that have been put up in Durango, Bayfield and the surrounding communities.
