So what's your point? That something Mark said is factually wrong?

I have no idea if it's factually wrong. I was just pointing out that his wording was odd.

Doesn't mean he's guilty of anything.

Yea I guess if DR was in the right spot on the couch the phone call would have come through to his cell phone. DR had a cell phone. jmo

He didn't have to be on the right spot on the couch to answer the home landline. It will ring anywhere anytime. Dylan had a cell phone that could only receive sporadic signal but MR had an actual landline phone in the house that would guarantee that his call would get through.

MOO

:waitasec: Why would Dylan have to be in the right spot on the couch for a call on the landline?

I think he would be focus on any discrepancy's but you haven't seen any IIRC. So if there aren't any Mark should be fine right? We have to remember ER was at work, so she has a solid alibi & 5-6 hrs. away...so I agree she is the good guy, although I do expect he will question motives, etc. That is where the drama will come in, but...

Although I may not hold him in as high esteem as others seem to, bottom line though he is looking for the truth! Aren't well all!!!

Yes Dee, I am looking deeply but I CAN'T FIND NO TRUTH IN MARK REDWINE AT ALL. IMO

BBM
So one of the purposes of the Dr Phil show would be to show inconsistencies in Mark's timeline which would be used against him in the court of public opinion.

I would understand completely if he declines to participate in his own lynching. MOO.

I didn't exactly mean that though, reading it back, I see how I worded it incorrectly. I would like to see Dr. Phil get a better understanding from MR about what happened the night and morning Dylan and MR were together. Not to hang MR; to find Dylan. We have been pouring over the trickle of information in this case, and while we've been able to firm ip the timeline a bit, there are so many unanswered questions. If an interview with Dr. Phil sheds some light, all the better. Let's see if it even happens.

Thanks. I saw all of the bold type and figured that meant something significant about Mark's statement's was discovered. So I read your post over a few times and posed my question.

He actually said...

But, I specifically remember him texting about that time, and he was texting on the couch after we were here and watching the movie he was over there texting or playing a video or something. I just assumed he was texting, ‘cos it’s not like he can’t ever get service up here, it’s just very sporadic.

Which I find interesting because there is a distinct difference in appearance between a flip phone and an Ipod but I suppose a blue collar guy like MR can not tell the difference or does not know that you can't play "video games" on a flip phone?

MOO

Thank you! And yet another very odd statement by MR. BBM

He SPECIFICALLY REMEMBERS HIM TEXTING. I think it's very odd include the word specifically. Then he goes on to add AFTER WE WERE HERE. Again another odd statement. Then he changes from SPECIFICALLY remembering him texting to texting or playing a video game or something. And then he adds he assumed he was texting cos it's not like he can't get service it's up here, it's just very sporatic. Why add the last part of that sentence? Why is that important to talk about the cell phone service up there?

What I gather that he wanted to convey is Dylan was texting after he got to his house and he can get cell service there. He adds texting OR playing video game or something just in case there are no records of Dylan texting at those times.

IF Dylan was texting once he got to Mark's house, WHY was there no mention of texts from shortly AFTER 8 pm UNTIL the 9:37 text????

I find it very odd that there were no other texts mentioned between those times.....:banghead::banghead:

Fountain is right next to Colorado Springs. So whatever the distance from there to durango is.

Cooperating fully with LE - Check.
Sitting down for a 45 minute uncut interview with a reporter - Check.
Hiring a private investigator - Check.

But if he doesn't go on Dr. Phil with his ex-wife and older son, who've already publically insinuated that he disappeared his youngest son, he is either guilty or isn't doing enough?

Nah, sounds to me like his priorities are exactly where they should be. He's fueling the official search and investigation instead of satiating voyeurs and rubberneckers. JMO

does anyone else besides me feel that it's probably pointless to search with cadaver dogs around the Vallecito area?

IMO, Dylan is probably nowhere close to that area.

I agree. I think his backpack and fishing pole might be there though.

I appreciate your reply MammaJoJo. You make some good points about the possible benefits of a Dr Phil Show centered on finding Dylan. The problem that I have is I'm not sure that kind of show will ever happen. MOO.

I think if MR is innocent he would fair quite well on Dr Phil and it could really help clear his name in the court of public opinion.

I'm just curious why you feel that he isn't near there or the search would be pointless. Can you elaborate more?

I just know that in most missing persons cases, where there is a death, the body is usually found close to home.

I'm cetainly hoping that Dylan is still with us, but I realize that since so much time has past, the probability is not very high.

Well I'm I 51 year old man who wouldn't know the deference between an iPod and a flip phone at a glance. I guess that I'm blue collar also if that helps in your stereotype.

I just checked my vintage 2009 Samsung slider phone and it has game apps on it. Are you sure that Mark was wrong in thinking that Dylan may have been playing games?

Every phone I've had in the past 5 or 6 years has had games on it.
Matter of fact, the phone I have now probably has a lot of stuff on it that I've never used or even looked at. My husband has the same model of phone and he plays games on his all the time.

"Clothed body of an adult male"

Sorry, can't seem to link it...

I don't know what happened to Dylan or where he may be so personally I don't feel that it's a pointless search.
