I really don't understand why Toni and Steve would be in LA for 5 days, when the Dr. Phil's show taping is only one day. :waitasec: Aren't they originally from the area...Maybe they decided to visit family or friends? But I am skeptical that someone would need to take 5 days off from work to do the Dr. Phil show. 3 at the most...One day to get there, one day to film, and one day to leave.

"Then came the whirlwind of days of taping ending with the live taping on stage. I am going to estimate that about 1/4 of what was taped made it to the final show. " from 2nd link above.

Prerecording some segments maybe?

In the uncut interview there were so many opportunities for the reporter to narrow him down to answering specific questions and she didn't. I think this is exactly what Dr Phil would do. He would force him to answer questions without allowing him to go off in circles.
For instance, when MR stated that Dylan liked to go to the nearby campground and river MB had the perfect opportunity to ask if he searched for him there. If he did then when? And if he didn't why not?
I want to see someone get MR to answer questions without allowing him to go off on other things that have nothing to do with the question. To me he dances around the question and sidetracks the interviewer. I have seen people try to do this with Dr Phil and he's all over it. He won't allow it.

Is it possible that LE has counseled them not to talk about certain things? Just a thought...

There are so many missing persons and missing children. And I'm sure there will be more between now and then sadly. The media likes to focus on hot issues not on stale ones. This is just the way it is. If another child goes missing between now and then Dr Phil may choose to do a show on them instead. Or if there's any other breaking news. It's the media.

Dr. Phil rarely does shows on missing children though, and never when they immediately got missing. His first episode on Caylee was three years after she went missing, his first episode on Baby Lisa was three months later. His show is really not focused on breaking news, in the way that most news shows are. I can't think of someone who went missing, and Dr. Phil did an episode within a week or two of their disappearance. Dr. Phil is not a news show; It's a talk show.

IDK But I feel like older, infamous cases tend to get more coverage when something "new" happens than newer ones: Look at the coverage that Casey's bankruptcy got, JonBenet was on the cover of People two weeks ago because of the GJ news, the coverage about Nicole and Ron's murders possibly being committed by a serial killer, Natalie Wood's case being re-opened, Etan Patz' killer's arrest, etc. Elaine had an extremely hard time getting national media attention for Dylan, and he's been missing for two months. There are cases out there that are years, even decades old, and will make national news with even a slight development.

this is so interesting b/c he goes to GREAT LENGTHS to explain the timeline, why he doesn't know the timeline, got it wrong to begin with and can't clarify it even now. look at all those words in red (if my text color worked) to say what time he went to bed.

if you're already pacing, why do you need to "get up" to take care of things?

all the "you know"s is a way to persuade and make sure the person listening is following you or believes you.

he "remembers" the movie ending???? why say "remember"???? the movie ended. obviously. as all movies do at some point.

one more oddity - they just finished a movie. it was late. everyone tired. MR went to bed "shortly" thereafter. DR "finished" up what he was doing - watching nickelodeon. so DR started a show on Nick and then watched that for a while AFTER the movie when they were both so tired and eventually went to bed? not unheard of, but odd. I think it was just a way to throw the Nick in there, b/c I DON'T BELIEVE IT'S TRUE!!! MOO

Wouldn't "remember" be the correct term if he was doing the interview a couple of months after DR's disappearance? I would say "remember" too. Just curious...

In my opinion, remember seems like an appropriate word to use. This is another example of trying to make something out of nothing in regards to Mark's comments. MOO.

Aren't arrest records, divorce records and all that public record there? Except what is sealed by the court?

The records that were published by the media are public requests for protective orders, separate from the divorce paperwork. In Colorado divorces are restricted access per this link: http://www.colorado.gov/cs/Satellit...goBlobs&blobwhere=1251848990147&ssbinary=true

In going over & over MR's last interview and just thinking about the flow of the events.
Walmart (except for the movie) & McDonalds he explains fairly straightforwardly, the next day events are the same. He seems to be stumbling (all over the map) IMO on the time frame from when he allegedly got home to going to bed. That is just my 2 cent take trying to break it down.

  • #648
I've been thinking back and going through news stories and searching facebook and I'm coming up empty. It's been said a million times that Elaine has questions and Cory has questions, and I think both of them have stated it more than once themselves, but I can't find anything saying what even one of those questions are. Has anybody seen any of the questions? I'm just curious what the questions are.

Well, I think the obvious question is that they want to know whether MR knows what happened to Dylan and where Dylan is.

Thank you, jjenny. I didn't think about that even though I posted the quote and link earlier today. My bad.

So question #1 for the list is

#1 - “Where is Dylan, you piece of (explicative).”

I found an answer from Mark -

“I have no idea where Dylan is at. I have no involvement with where Dylan is at.”

Oh yeah he used his work trip as an excuse but anything that will prolong or stall time gives him more of an advantage IMO because sometimes more time = less evidence.

Is it fact he is using his work as his reasoning? I thought that was a FB rumor.

Agreed!!

I don't get the big deal of waiting 3 weeks. Dr. Phil is not LE. It's not like the investigation stops until the Redwines go on Dr. Phil. Why doesn't anyone care that the interview with MB was taped like 2 or 3 weeks before it aired? I hardly doubt Dr. Phil is going to solve the case. If he was truly focused on finding Dylan, it wouldn't matter if MR is there or not. He's just going to say a bunch of stupid things that makes the rest of us Texans sound like back assward hillbillies.

Questions of Importance regarding those last hours leading up to Dylan's disappearance
*Questions highlighted in BLUE are ESPECIALLY in need of further info, but due to ongoing investigation are likely details we will not have answers to anytime soon*

1) Did Dylan in fact make it to his father's home Sunday night, November 18?
(How was this verified?..pings, neighbor, or other witness, etc)
- if in fact made it to the home what time did they arrive home?
*MR has recently stated that they arrived home btwn 8-8:30pm approx*. He also further clarified that upon arriving home they tossed the nerf football around, they watched "Adventureland" DVD together, and around 10:30pm MR goes to bed w/Dylan on the couch on his cell phone which MR assumes he was texting.

2) Were any calls made from the landline throughout the morning hours of Monday, November 19?
(If so to whom were the calls made)

3) What was the exact time that Dylan's cell phone was last detected?
(ie. text msg sent/received, phonecall incoming/outgoing, pinging a local cell tower)
*DISCLAIMER* <OPINIONS VARY REGARDING THE LATEST info per LE regarding the 9:37PM ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION>
Per LE we know there was an electronic communication on Sunday night, 11/18 at 9:37pm.. no clear confirmation from which device, nor the type or direction of the communication.

4) If different from time of last detection, what time was the actual last outgoing communication from Dyalns cell phone?
(Phone call or text)
*according to ER her son's last outgoing communication from his cell was a text message shortly after 8pm 11/18(per cell phone records)

5) At what time did Dylan and friends(and with what specific friend did he speak/text to make these changes) make changes to their getting together from Sunday night moved to Monday morning?
*it was his friend R who he exchanged text msgs with about the change of plans ..below is a link to all those texts and times which answer many of the next few questions regarding his contact with friends.
http://www.durangoherald.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?aid=/20121215/NEWS01/121219687&template=mobileart

6) Was the change of plans the last conversation btwn Dylan and friend(s)?
-If not what was their last communication about?
- what time did that communication happen, if different from the communication regarding the change of plans?
*yes, the change of plans was the topic of the last convo btwn Dylan&RN. Dylan's last text msg of the convo was sent shortly after 8pm, 11/18. A little over an hour later(9:27pm) RN attempts to re establish contact via text to which Dylan never replied.
*refer to http://www.durangoherald.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?aid=/20121215/NEWS01/121219687&template=mobileart

7) The friend(s) with whom Dylan spoke/text about the change of plans, what was their opinion of Dylan's mood about the plans being changed?
(Mad, sad, furious, indifferent, cool with it, etc)
*we only know that when RN asks why the plans had to change and why Dylan couldn't come over that night as planned..Dylan's reply was that his dad said, no its too late<*note the time was approx. 7:30pm>

8) With whom was Dylan's last contact with other than dad?
- call or text?
*according to ER the last contact was via text message sent to friend, RN shortly after 8pm and that no one has heard from or had contact with Dylan since that time

9) What is the last identified cell phone tower that was pinged by Dylan's cell phone?

10) Where does dad's cell phone records pick up at from the moment when Dylan's phone is last detected?
- Does Dylan's last cell phone ping coincide with his dad's cell phone pings during that same time of night on Monday, November 18?
- From the time that Dylan's cell is last detected as being operable(text, call, ping) from that time forward throughout the night what is the track of dad's cell phone(ie. What, if any cell phone towers did dad's cell phone continue to ping after Dylan's was no longer operable)

11) Does dad's cell phone records, namely the pings, coincide with the NOW ESTABLISHED TIMES of Walmart/McDonalds and their returning home after ?
(Does it coincide with the amount of time to get from Durango to the cell phone tower nearest his home<which is most likely to indicate that he was at or immediately near his home>..or if the pings show an altogether different route, or destination other than home.)
*LE's recent timeline:
Walmart- 7:05pm
McDonald's- 7:22pm
<as an aside ER's last communication with her son, EVER was at 7:06pm via text msg where Dylan stated his dad had picked him up from the airport, along with a scowlie face emoticon>

12) What, if any, internet usage was used from Sunday evening through Monday afternoon/evening?
(Anything unusual or out of the ordinary found)

13) LE has stated that they can confirm that Mark's movements between 7:30am-11:30am on Monday, November 19 check out with what Mark has stated that he was.(appt with Atty in Durango and other morning errands)
a) what was the nature of the appt with the divorce Atty and was it a scheduled appt? If so, how far in advance was is scheduled?
b) what were the other errands Mark went on for the remainder of those hours that have been confirmed?
*MR states he had appt w/divorce Atty(?divorce/custody issues?), he had to go to take care of a payroll issue at work, and that he had to make a phone call to a property mgt company inquiring had they received the check he'd sent them for payment.

14) What were Mark's movements from 11:30am- approx 4:30pm when he headed to Dylan's friends in Bayfield to pick up Dylan?
(Is LE able to verify/confirm those movements during that 5 hour time frame)
*MR says that he returned home around 11:30am to find DYLAN gone. He called/text Dylan's cell phone, laid down for a couple hours nap, and upon waking became concerned due to having not heard back from Dylan.

15) During those 5 hours what does his cell records show as far as his attempting contact with his son?
- how many text? How many calls?
- what cell phone towers were pinged when those various calls/text were made to Dylan's phone? Was it the tower that is pinged when at the Redwine home or another or other towers?
- what does the track of pings from Mark's cell phone show during this 5 hour window of time? Movement, if so where? Or does it continue to ping from the cell tower nearest his home?

16) What, if any, calls were incoming/outgoing from the landline during this 5 hour time frame?

17) What type of cereal did Dylan eat that morning? Was it just purchased the night prior at Walmart on the way home or was it something already in the home?

18) When LE did the initial, cursory check of the home on Monday, November 19 was it noted that a used cereal
bowl and/or utensils were in the kitchen?
- or any indications of Dylan's possibly eaten/drank a few hours prior?

19) What was the condition of the bed made on the couch for Dylan?
- did it appear to be in a natural disarray as if it'd been slept on? Or more folded and neat?
- were Dylan's clothes noted to be there on the couch/bed? If so were they just crumpled and just tossed there? Clean or dirty? Or neatly folded? What were the articles of clothing left behind?

20) Was Mark able to give the initial search dogs a scent article from any of the bedding or discarded and left behind clothing of Dylan's? If not, why not?
*ER states that she was told by MR that there was no clothing left behind of Dylans'(also why she was requested to retrieve scent article from their home in Colorado Springs). tho, MR has stated publicly that there were clothes of Dylan's left behind on the couch.

21) The fishing pole. Was this fishing pole purchased the night before at Walmart or was this a fishing pole that had long since been there in the home?

22) Exactly when was it noted and relayed to LE by Mark that Dylan's fishing pole was actually missing from the home?
- was this stated by dad immediately after the disappearance?
- or was it only after the broken fishing pole was found near the dam which then led to dad discovering that there was actually a missing fishing pole from the home?
*MR says that after he got up from his nap sometime Monday afternoon with Dylan still not home&not replying to texts/calls..its at this point that MR says he noticed the fishing pole was gone from the home.

23) Had Dylan actually hitchhiked before? (As in hitching a ride from a complete stranger)?
*we now know from friends that the incident they refer to(and the only incident KNOWN to ever happen) was a time when Dylan along with all his friends were walking home in the snow, to which Dylan flagged down someone who gave all the boys a ride so they'd not have to walk home in the snow.

24) What event occurred that led to Elaine broaching the subject of the dangers of hitchhiking with Dylan ?
strictly MOO but I find it most likely that the aforementioned incident of Dylan AND his friends getting a ride home when walking in the snow is what led to Elaine's addressing the dangers of hitchhiking with her son..again MOO
eta: Mom is of the strong opinion that Dylan wouldn't have hitched a ride WITHOUT having called/text SOMEONE!
In just going over old info I updated this question list a bit with the tiny morsels of info we've been given recently.. Feel free to add, edit, omit, etc.

What is the big deal with waiting 3 weeks? He claims he had nothing to do with Dylan's disappearance. If that is true, then Dylan was most likely abducted. So this child could be tortured and abused right now by some sadistic pervert. So, yes, what's the bid deal with waiting 3 weeks?

And that tells us what?

Well I'm not a psyche professional or an expert at
analysis of language or body language so I'm going
to go with ....he cannot make a normal statement ! :)

To be fair, many people speak irregularly .
My DH is one , much to my horror sometimes the mouth
opens and absolute...........sigh............comes out ! :)

Again, Dr. Phil is a talk show host. Yes he's national. Why is he not willing to get Dylan's story out there with just ER and CR? Why does he have to have MR there? If his true intentions are to help find Dylan, then do the interview with Cory and Elaine. The only reason he wants MR there is for drama, and in MNSHO it will put the focus of Dylan's disappearance on a family issue, so the sadistic pervert can continue to torture and abuse. MOO

  • #657
I have no answer to that. You will have to ask Dr. Phil. He might feel he needs to talk to MR to get to the bottom of it-I have no idea as to why MR has to be on there for the show to go on (assuming that is accurate information).

Well I was thinking about this a bit ago. MR is in the very unique position
of knowing much more about Dylan's fate than any of us and ER as well.
He 's the only who knows definitively if he is involved or not. SO if he is
NOT involved, then he has to realize that the fact Dylan has not surfaced
by now means his odds of being alive are very very very small. IF MR is
involved then he knows his fate as well. So my guessing is that MR ,
whether or not he is involved, knows there is little chance that 3 weeks
makes much of a difference in the search :(

I have no idea where Dylan is at seems like a normal statement to me. Why would you then add I have no involvement with where Dylan is at?

It almost sounds like he's saying he knows where Dylan is at but has no involvement with him getting there.

I know it's not just me noticing these repeated odd statements by MR.

  • #660
Three recent cases: Elizabeth Smart, Shawn Hornbeck, Jaycee Dugard. All three were kidnapped, all three were eventually allowed out in public, all three were recovered alive. So if MR had nothing to do with it, and Dylan was kidnapped, Dylan could in fact still be alive and abused. And Dylan could be allowed out in public. In which case publicity is the thing that would help to recover him.
