Well then I guess we don't need to consider the possibility that someone close to MR from out of state had a problem with his relationship with Dylan and unbeknown to MR decided to disappear him?

Ok. Not sure what that has to do with anything I stated. I was commenting on why MR would have a legitimate place to stay and not some trick he picked up. JMO

My best effort to transcript what I heard this morning Feb 14 on Denver CBS 4 news:

CBS 4 Denver Reporter Jeff Todd: unknown question.
Mark Redwine: "It’s flustrating for all of us because there’s so little to go on. The tensions are very high between all of us."
Jeff Todd reporter: "It’s been 86 days since Dylan went missing…….."non-transcripted words.
Mark Redwine: "And basically they want to come up here and eliminate the Valicito area and the possibility of where Dylan can be so that we can focus their search efforts on other places he can possibly be."
Jeff Todd: "Do you think he is still alive?
Mark Redwine: "Absolutely I have no reason not to believe that."

"My ex-wife and I both agree Dylan is not the kind of kid that would run away. But I also think there is a possibility Dylan was torn between his parents. You know my fear is that he is somehow is being able to see what’s going on out there and he sees conflict between his Mom and I. I think that is a huge concern. But who knows what goes on in a 13 year old’s head."

"We don’t know where Dylan is at. We have no idea where Dylan is at. Dylan could be anywhere."

Why must Mark Redwine constantly shift blame to his "ex-wife" and Dylan? Why does he alway call Elaine "My ex-wife" or "Mom?" Why can't he say "Elaine?" Why does he keep using the pronouns "we" and "us?"

I apologize in advance, but I don't see anything in the above quote that says he's shifting blame on ER. The only thing I see about ER is they both AGREE Dylan wouldn't run away. And really, if he used I and me, there'd be hell to pay because then it would only be about Mark and not Dylan. :waitasec:

So I've been thinking about past tense language. Think about this .
What was your child / spouse/ friend wearing last time you saw them?
They're alive and well , mind you .
In your mind did you think " My sister IS wearing a red shirt and blue jeans
and she HAS her hair in a braid'' ? Or did you think ' My sister was wearing a
red shirt and blue jeans and had her hair in a braid ' ?

I'm thinking right now of my kids when they left today and if someone asked
I would say " She was wearing her black t shirt and she had her glasses on " Those are past tense. But they're present ! Could this explain some of MR's statements?

By the way , ya'll are totally not playing the game right :(

The difference is when your adrenaline kicks in from something frightening like your child going missing then your memory will do overtime and you will remember. Otherwise a lot of parents may not remember what their child had on.

I was following along with you until the last sentence. It's obvious that your talking about Mark. How could he feel confident that LE couldn't tie him to the lake? The rest of your post seems possible.

Because MR might be thinking that if they think he fell in while fishing ( cAuse I told them the fishing pole was gone) he may not realize that when they find him forensics will show that blunt force trauma or poison injected or whatever happened so he might have thought by introducing the fishing pole that he was all clear but in reality he won't be...

I don't take much stock in the past tense issues. My daughter walked out the door to drive to the store. Past tense. She wanted to take a friend. Past tense. She was wearing a pink dress. Past tense. She liked to go sailing during the summer. Past tense (I don't know if she still does or not, we haven't gotten to this summer). She enjoyed going to her friends house. Past tense. She's still alive, BTW. But if she isn't HERE right NOW, I might talk about her in past tense because that is how I last saw her.

Well, I'm glad the reward is so large because there's always the possibility that another person was involved.................
One question is "Was there a fishing pole in that Walmart basket?"

I was trying to figure out if he actually had a legitimate long term relationship with a woman from out of state who might have a problem with his relationship with, or the new custody situation regarding Dylan.

Maybe someone whom has been kept a secret from his sons and ex wife and who knows MR's only tie to his previous life and home in Bayfield is Dylan. Maybe someone who knows who the Hispanic man who ran out of gas is?

I was not implying that MR was staying with multiple "tricks" he picked up. And I'm suggesting that obviously MR would not know if someone close to him decided that Dylan needed to disappear. Kyron Horman's Dad sure didn't.

So, then are you going to say "she was the light of my life and she meant everything to me?"

Will you not agree that Mark Redwine is shifting blame to Dylan?

Thanks for transcribing cattlekate. Does anyone know when this interview took place?

Quote from MR:
“Quite frankly, I don’t care who has Dylan or for what reason they have Dylan,”

http://www.durangoherald.com/articl...RONTPAGE/Dr-Phil-working-on-a-Redwine-program

I have never seen the parent of a missing child speak like this. Not even parents who are under suspicion or the unnamed POI.

He doesn't care who? Why not? What parent doesn't care who stole their baby?

He doesn't care why? What! If someone took Dylan, they sure as heck aren't sitting around playing board games and watching cartoons with him. At best, he's been restrained, isolated, and held prisoner. More likely than that, he is being physically, emotionally, psychologically and possibly sexually tortured and assaulted. What father doesn't "care" about that?

I am thoroughly disgusted with that statement and all I hope is that MR just keeps talking. Because every time he opens his mouth, he shows more and more of his true colors. And I sure hope LE is paying very close attention to every word he says. Garbage. JMO and MOO

Look back at some of the things Heather Collins said before the girls were found, her mother also said things like that a couple of times.

I had not seen this quote before now.
Truly the oddest thing yet I have heard a parent say about their missing child.
How could he even saw those words? I understand not wanting to think the worst, but this is a bit beyond belief.

If he is innocent, he ought to stop talking. If he is not, keep right on.

ETA...I know I have been up nights worrying about what could be happening to Dylan.

And this statement by him is one of the reasons I suspect the abductor is known to the family. MOO

Sounds like MR is blaming himself and ER.

I'm sorry but I'm focused on this case. I have no reason to look at other cases; they are all different in their own way and as many people here love to point out, no one does the same thing in the same way as another person and no two situations are identical. It is also the same reason I choose to ignore everyone else's life experiences in comparison to Dylan's life. I really don't care what anyone did when they were growing up, or what they did when they raised their children, or how their grandchildren act, speak, or whatever mannerisms they project that causes anyone to draw a comparison to this case. Discussion about what I might consider usual, customary, average, behavior patterns resulted in multiple replies that my experiences weren't relevant to Dylan's case, so I've chosen to disregard others experiences for the same reason. I am focused on this case, this child, this family, what they say, what they do, what they don't do and the events surrounding the disappearance of DYLAN REDWINE. Thank you.

If this is the case, he had better get his brain in gear and figure out who it could be. And stop acting so casual about it.

I don't believe this to be the case at all, and not sure why you think he does, since he also has named almost every other possibility under the sun as to what he thinks happened, from ran away, to being abducted, to falling in lakes, etc.

And what would your reason be for this family keeping this person a secret from LE? Or do you believe LE is incompetent?
Because in order for "this person" to know Dylan's minute by minute change in scheduling, there would have to be a relationship with such person. Without that, "this person" wouldn't even know Dylan went to see MR. They would think he was at home...with his mother...the custodial parent.
