The video game communication situation has always been in the back of my mind relative to Dylan. I personally know someone who has a teenage grandson who has gotten 2 "girlfriends" this way. One from Philadelphia and one from New Jersey. Both came to NC to visit the naive boy!

Recently a teenage girl (either 13 or 14) took off to go look for a boy she met through X-box playing a videogame. Took her parents car (obviously no license) drove on a highway/freeway, drove quite a distance before police finally stopped her. Teens do things that boggle the mind sometime.
But police in Dylan's case had to have analyzed all his internet habits and haven't said anything.
Also Dylan was going to meet his friend in person in the morning.
So I really didn't think Dylan took off to look for some on-line friend.

Yes, one of the most notable red flags I saw in MR's interview. One of the many remarkable coincidences in this case. Does reading a text show up as "activity" on the records?

Apologies if this seems random, but I have just caught up and am left with a question from a few pages ago that I haven't seen addressed.

The coincidence of MR finding R at someone else's house that afternoon has bothered me as well. I did some research and discovered there is tracking software available that allows parents to monitor the phone calls and text messages of their children. The intent is to keep children safe from predators and bullies.

Not sure if I should link this, in case it looks spammy (I can if need be and if it is ok) but a description of one such program, from ehow:

"... This program will monitor cell phone calls, text messages, instant messaging, picture messages, and email. This will enable you to be notified when your child receives any of the above, as well as have access to the content. You receive the same message as your child....."

From what I gather, some of the software programs notify children daily that their messages are tracked, especially programs available through the phone carrier. There are other similar programs that don't notify at all, however, and even advertise as a way to spy on spouses or employees. :what:

Since I am not familiar, I would be interested to know more. Is anyone familiar with this software, and is there any reason MR could not have had a program like this on Dylan's phone?

All links can be found at the beginning of each thread. Hope this helps for future reference.

I was in the media thread, as I stated. I couldn't find the link. I asked for it because I figured he was just watching or reading said interview and would be able to easily link it. :seeya:

As an O/T in regards to LE and the advantages they have with looking at electronics, also how slow and long the "process" is. Please be patient.
I was the president of an organization that had gaming machines in use before I became president. That was April 2010. I told the manager to remove them immediately. She did, but it took a few days. In the meantime the liquor board came in for an inspection and saw that we had unplugged the gaming machines and turned them towards the wall. Later, the owner of the machines came by and picked them up.

A few days later, I got a call at work, our organization was being raided by about 20 LE officers. They downloaded the hard drives right then and there. They actually destroyed one, took the computer and purchased us a new hard drive. We never got the computer back.

Turns out that this man that owned the machines had been under investigation for a very long time, when the machines were moved, they (LE) thought someone tipped him off and acted fast. We all relaxed but during my year as president, I refused to allow ANY type of gambling.

A year later, we were given a ticket so to speak, we could accept a fine of $1000 which did not indicate our guilt or pay a $2000 fine if we faught it and lost. Against my advise, they paid the fine.
Everyone wondered why it was coming up all of a sudden so far after the fact. I tried, without success to express to them that while we may forget about it, it is their job to remember it.

Last week our manager was arrested and charged with promoting gambling, all from this incident that she tried to prevent.

My point in all of this is, even if we don't hear anything from LE, even if they don't answer questions or only answer a tiny portion of the question. They are still investigating.
It's like a black hole, a lot goes in but nothing comes out. No arrest does not mean that someone is innocent or got away with anything, it just means that there is no arrest yet.

Missing Dylan Redwine turns 14
(Both of Dylan's parents, who are divorced, recently returned to their jobs, as the search for the teen stretches into a third month. 9Wants to Know conducted interviews with both Mark and Elaine Redwine. You can watch the uncut conversations below.)

Your right, being asleep only covers the time that your asleep. But it does cover some of time where there is no communication. Other explanations can be used for when he did get up.

A dead and inoperative cell phone that had all of his contact numbers in it.

A landline phone was maybe available but not having memorized his friends numbers he didn't utilize it.

An iPod, but was Wi-FI avaible to use it?

A desktop and or laptop commuter. Password protected or taken with Mark when he left.

MOO.

I think he would have called his mom. I would bet his mother would have his friends phone #'s .So why not call his mom from the land line phone? He could also call information.I would think his friends grandma would have a land line phone.

Thank you, that was what I was looking for. I was trying to see if it was after the search on the 29th, and I see it was.

The blankets Dylan supposedly used were still on the couch and left after the initial search, and the served Search Warrant.

Great points. I saw an ID TV program 2 days back where a murder suspect was alibied by his girlfriend. He was arrested a year and a half later based on his cell phone pings on the night in question. There are so many ongoing investigations and logjams at every step. I know I am guilty of the NCIS/CSI mentality where genius forensic and computer experts come up with all the answers in 48 minutes, but unfortunately, it's not so easy in real life. All MOO

AZGrandma,

I read an interesting post on the Official FMDR page and have a question for you.

Just paraphrasing here, but previously, someone on WS said/speculated it was MR who had to pay ER for child support until September of this year... do you know if it was actually the other way around?

Can you confirm whether or not MR actually lost child support at that Sept. hearing and then in November Dylan goes mysteriously missing on his first court ordered visitation with MR?

Thanks

I saw that.
I know we're not allowed to discuss "rumors" here, but reflecting back to MR's own comments about how ER was so "focused" on her career and how he was so "close" to Dylan and she wasn't, this information wouldn't surprise me what-so-ever. The official FB page has made several comments pertaining to MR rarely using his visitation rights and also about ER having to be the family bread-winner.
Wondering....maybe AZgrandma could tell us whether MR worked when they were married? Or was she the primary bread-winner in that family?

There is a Denver Post article that references the blankets on the couch. The article is dated December 2.

Read more: With Dylan Redwine missing for almost two weeks, dad clings to hope - The Denver Post http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_22108222/dad-its-wait-wonder#ixzz2L6JWaoY7
Read The Denver Post's Terms of Use of its content: http://www.denverpost.com/termsofuse

This portion:
The next morning, Dylan was sleeping on the couch where Mark Redwine now sits and where Dylan's blankets still lie jumbled
BBM

Two weeks seems like a long time to have Dylan's blankets lying there jumbled. Sure wish we knew if the blankets were there the first time LE did a "cursory" search.

I asked AZG a while back if MR was a ' mr mom ' type and she agreed he was something like that. ;)

Just my opinion, but watching MR describe Eileen's "career" choices, he seems to have a lot of pent-up anger. He tries, (too hard, IMO) to create the illusion that many domestic violence perps try to create. Blame others for their own perceived weaknesses and failings. Sad individual, IMO, with a lot of resentment built up.

If his phone had died due to the battery it only takes a few minutes to charge it enough to use it. As his dad stated he ate cereal and watched tv.Surely long eouugh to chare enough to make a phone call. Also most phones are usable as soon as you put them on a charger. I;ve done this many times.

All three resided near or in Colarado Springs, CO.
All three became missing about one month apart from the next.
I looked at how all three are classified either endangered Runaways or endangered missing.

My opinion and belief of Dylan being missing points towards the Father even though he's not been named a person of interest or suspect.

From the timeframe of Dylan's texts to his friend Ryan that Sunday night, Dylan was texting he couldn't meet Ryan that night. Dylan texted that before they finished walmart and before going to Walmart McDonald's.

The Father in the majority of interviews has told the reporters he told Dylan it was to late to see his Friend that night after the trip to walmart and McDonald's.
Not beforehand that would coincide with the Text messages between Dylan and Ryan.

Plus Dylan's cell phone the way it just mysteriously stopped working that night, and has never regained communication with the tower, and Dylan just Disappears, no one just Disappears unless they want to, or another person or persons are the cause.

My suspicioun is totally directed at the person that was Responsible for Dylan's safety while on court ordered visitation.

I find this very interesting, Ronald. I had to read it about 3 times but I think I have at least an idea of what you are theorizing. Are you able to expand on this at all, or would you then need to bring up people that we are not able to talk about?
