LOL heyyyy Not my career choices.
And I would have never married HIM either!

LOL

Sorry I couldnt resist!

Of course this is JMO, but he does appear to be a "smooth-talker"...at least until you get to know what's beneath the surface. Notice how he attempted to charm the female reporter, MB? Spoke softly. Talked lots without saying much?
He's probably the type who makes lots of promises that he is unable to fulfill. I completely understand how these ladies were "taken in" and found themselves married with children before they were able to figure out the whole thing was just "smoke and mirrors". Lotta guys just like that out there and when we're young, we don't have the experience or the insight to see them for what they are.
I do see that both of his ex's were able to raise their children with dignity, honor and respect. I commend them for that and I pray neither one of them spend any time dwelling or blaming themselves for any of this.

Just my opinion, but watching MR describe Eileen's "career" choices, he seems to have a lot of pent-up anger. He tries, (too hard, IMO) to create the illusion that many domestic violence perps try to create. Blame others for their own perceived weaknesses and failings. Sad individual, IMO, with a lot of resentment built up.

JMO

Yes ITA. My ex used the exact same language during my divorce trying to get sympathy so no one would expect him to go get a full time job and contribute to the support of his sons. That's why I suggested on the previous thread that ER was probably paying child support. I believe the visit to the attorney was money-related, and most likely due to MR losing income when ER no longer had to pay him. All IMO of course

Been gone a couple of days. Spotty Internet and phone service on my iPhone. I've been trying without success to read threads for 3 days. I completely drained my cell phone battery twice and had to completely recharge it. I made no calls had spotty texts with my daughter (two did not go through until I had service after I got out of the mountains today) could not play WWF at all (had 4 games waiting on me). And most the time my phone was "searching" or I had "no service" which was why I drained the battery. The rest of the time it was plugged in charging. Still had no service, still searching for signal, I got nothing, had nothing, from Thusday when I got up there until I got out of the mountains a little while ago.

It's so easy in remote places to not be able to text, to not make phone calls, to not have satellite and to drain your battery to death. MPE

Yep. She removed herself from him. Gave up her rights to the home they once lived in. Moved on with her life. Had a good job. About to get married. New house, compliments of her fiance'. The courts decided to grant her full custody and stopped MR child support payments. He lost all control. JMO
I also have to reflect back to the strange comment he made about No Dylan, no Cory, no me. Your mom has Mike. He was clearly disturbed if not downright livid. Of course, this is all just my speculation.

I don't know MR at all of course, but I do think I know the "type" he might be. These men play it tough on the outside, vulnerable on the inside. They reveal just enough of their insecurities to excuse broken promises, angry outbursts and macho posturing. Women who are strong and independent are the most susceptible because they believe with a little patience and hard work, they can "fix things." All MOO.

"New house, compliments of her fiance'." Do you know some details to share with us?

Mr. Hall owns his own construction company. He builds houses. Pretty evident. but as always, JMO

RSBM

I would imagine LE did a VERY thorough search of MR's house. I believe they were there most of the day. MR very well could have moved things around after the search when things were probably in disarray. When these type of searches are performed, is it the habit of LE to put things back?

Not usually. They might slide a piece of furniture back if they've pulled it out, but they don't put things back in their original places, that's not one of their job requirements. If it wasn't a crime scene before they started, it usually looks like one when they get through!

Sometimes not, sometime yes. But the SOP remains the same. This case never was and continues not to be headed in that direction. If it was, we would know. JMO

How do you know that? We aren't privy to what they're doing or which direction they're going, since they share so little information with the public. I don't see how any of us could know what their procedures are at this moment.
Care to share what you know that we don't?

There have been MANY cases of teens missing where LE has feared, and released, that the teen is likely with a person they met online. Personally, I can't imagine why this LE would keep that a secret, if that is where the investigation led them, but JMO.

geo location finding? Will that pinpoint the exact location where the game is being played? address?

If Dylan played this game at his Dad's, this would be a potential way to meet a perp. Scary, indeed!!

Sorry if this has been covered already, I'm a bit behind. I don't know the game systems that well, but I can tell you I was playing a word scramble game on my smartphone when I first got it and I was totally shocked when this popup bubble came up saying something along the lines of "I'm only a mile away! Want to play the game together?" It wasn't even a multi-player type game, and I was in a relatively remote area with spotty cell service, but my phone/game pinpointed the exact location where I was and supposedly where this guy was. I didn't respond so I never confirmed where he was for sure, but it freaked me out. That day I ripped the battery out, and I spent the next day figuring out how to disable that "feature." It scares me to think young teens might have that technology and their parents would know nothing about it. I was thankful to be in my 30s. Had I been 13 I might've thought "oh wow, that's cool!" instead of "What the... how do I disable this?!?" I think it's been mentioned that Dylan's is an older phone but I still wonder if one of his games on one of the devices he had access to might have some "feature" like this.

Interesting but I think the phone has to have GPS enabled for a game/app to utilize it like this. As we know, Dylan's phone was not equipped with GPS. I've always been a fan of "Shut off the GPS" so as to avoid crap like this. dylan has made me look at GPS phones a bit differently. No easy answers!

Yes, the iTouch does have location services on it. It's only helpful if you want to use the map feature or the weather feature. IMO

Regarding the type of computer MR has, here is a screen grab from his uncut interview. The black item beside the TV stand that appears to be plugged into a small black box on top of the TV stand looks like a laptop computer to me. Perhaps someone local to the area who knows about internet connections would know what the small black box on the TV is. Is it an internet modem?

Supposedly this is the area where the couch was the night Dylan supposedly slept on it?

<SNIP>

It could be for tv & internet, but I can't see it very clearly. If the laptop is plugged into a modem or router, I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that he doesn't have wifi. There'd be no need to have it plugged into anything other than a power adapter. MOO

Me as well rebeccaeee. It's a catch 22 I suppose regarding GPS services on a phone. Now as I recall Bender said that Dylan's phone did not have this feature. Someone else earlier in the thread, and I apologize that I can't remember who at the moment, indicated that they have a 3yr old flip phone and I believe family members have a couple of 1yr old flip phones and none of them have any video capabilities at all and therefore they do not have any games on them. I myself had an old flip phone about 5yrs ago that also did not have any games/gps etc. It was very basic. Phone calls and texts only. I tend to think that Dylan's phone was like this which is why he wanted a smart phone...because he had the Ipod and could use it but he wanted it all in one.

I do find it interesting that the phone possibly was not used again during the time they would have been passing the lake according to MR. So if there was a text sent out via an electronic device and it was the Ipod, could that have triggered an argument if MR had ditched the phone during the ride past the lake because he was fed up with Dylan trying to make plans to see his friends?

And I'm still wondering how far the radius of the one cell tower that could pick up pings from cell phones in the area would be. If one tower covers a 15 mile or more radius then it would be impossible to pinpoint an exact location of where Dylan's last cell phone ping was.

Was just about to post the same thing. I am not questioning this, but, how do we know the furniture has been rearranged? jmo

I have never seen a modem that looked like that. It could be a sentsy or candle and not related to cable/internet at all. jmo

To me, it looks like a coffee cup, but it does look like there's a cable connected to it. It might just be a cable box for the tv (when I had a tv & cable there was a small box like that for a bunch of religious channels or something.)
