I was just thinking how small that whole space is. And MR says he spend 45 minutes to an hour trying to wake Dylan up.
Dylan would have to be in some deep sleep to not wake up.

Was just about to post the same thing. I am not questioning this, but, how do we know the furniture has been rearranged? jmo

IIRC MR said that it was rearranged in the interview.

The black thing looks like a AC power adapter plugged in the wall to me. I think the coffee cup shape is just distortion in the photo. I have one that plugs into my netgear wireless router. It's really big.

That does look like a laptop on left by his arm near the floor, but his arm is cutting it off and there is a trash can in front of everything so it's hard to tell what all is behind the trash can. There may be more electronics that the black laptop looking thing is sitting on top of.

Thanks so much for the still picture, Kamille!!

It looks like a laptop to me. My kids always hook up their laptops via the TV to watch movies, etc., but I don't have a clue how....LOL

I have a big favor to ask....can you do a still shot of the table with the gun?
Also, I was wonder about the little hall with the 2 doors (to the right of gun area).....THANKS!!

Here ya go...

Zillow also shows the house as being 1512 square feet so there must be more to it down that hallway?

The black device on top of the trash can is most likely a shredder.

Didn't he also say something like he "banged or made noise" in the kitchen???...agree, heck the kitchen is a hop, skip and jump from the living room.

That small device could also be a hotspot wifi device, They sell them at Walmart and of course any cellular type store. You purchase the amount you want, MB/ GB or unlimited. And that small device would allow other devices to receive wifi signals. It's even possible that's the best spot for picking up cell phone reception in the house. Dylan could have used an iPod touch, and received Internet.

That is possible too - though it's an odd shape for one IMO. I have recently bought something called a "network extender". It plugs into the modem via an ethernet cable, and into a power point - then delivers my internet to any other power point in the house! I had to get it because a new tv "box" I bought is supposed to be connected directly to my modem. Tv is upstairs, modem in kitchen downstairs - the telephone company advised that the network extender was the way to go. I've become gadget queen over the years - I may not quite get how they all work, but I've got them all!

I wonder how many parents keep that feature turned on so they know where their kids are without thinking about who else could find them through it. MOO

On iOS devices (iPhone, iPod, iPad) you can enable location services by app. I don't know about other devices though.

BBM and lol - I have been looking so hard at the laptop/cords etc that I actually just assumed his arm was the corner of a sheet covered sofa! And I am already wearing my glasses :blushing:

THANK YOU! I looked at it last night until my eyes were bleeding, trying to decide if it was a laptop. But I believe you are right. Explains the trash can there too.

Thanks so much, Kamille!!!

How the heck do you do that???

Doesn't that room to the left look like a bedroom?

I thought someone way back said there was one or 2 room upstairs - Mark's bedroom and another living room???

It could be for tv & internet, but I can't see it very clearly. If the laptop is plugged into a modem or router, I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that he doesn't have wifi. There'd be no need to have it plugged into anything other than a power adapter. MOO

We just have a router, and my DD was able to text from her i-touch from her bedroom.

I totally agree, though I can't help but think that if the kids figured out the parents were following their movements, the feature would be turned off as soon as the kid(s) could figure out how to do it. :)

Separate from the above post but wanted to add I agree with what seems to be the general consensus that I don't think Dylan's disappearance was an online predator situation. I think it's worth looking into and I think it's good for parents to have more awareness of the stuff kids can run across! There are just too many other possibilities IMO that seem likelier to be related to Dylan going missing. I wouldn't be shocked if it's an online predator thing, but I think there are other more likely scenarios.

I just have a router and we have multiple wireless devices that work just fine!

He did have his own room

Thank you.

So convenient that Dylan slept on the couch with the communal blanket and pillow....instead of going to his own bed where his scent would have been left....:what::what:

Us too. We have a router in the upstairs bedroom. And I can be on the laptop, my DH on his laptop, and the kids on their computers, all of us just fine.

I would guess that's because you have a wireless router. Most people who have a wireless router, don't plug their laptops into the router, they use the wireless connection - otherwise it rather defeats the purpose of having wireless. If he just has his paper shredder plugged into a coffee cup, then I guess it's all irrelevant anyway! :pullhair: :headache:

Yes, actually ER was paying child support all along and there was a point when MR wasn't too happy (IMO) that he didn't get everything in their divorce. He ended up taking it to the court of appeals. That was in 2010
ER was ordered to pay him c/s even though back then he wasn't seeing the boys that often. His work history and income wasn't very good at all. In Sept he lost all child support.

Good grief...what more could he possibly want from her?
:what:

Nevermind. I forgot about the house she recently signed over to him. So, by the sounds of it, he probably wasn't too happy about losing "his" child support income? Must be tough for him to make it without Elaine's support. I can't help but wonder if this is what he was addressing (or re-addressing) on that appointment with his attorney. JMO
