With all due respect, will you please reframe from using names when referring to my children, this includes a name you believe may be theirs. I asked this at the beginning and felt that perhaps it was time to ask again.

Apologies. I saw others posting names so I thought it was ok to discuss here now.

Just my two cents here but I think the cart is a bit before the horse... the show has not even aired yet.. Maybe they will all surprise us and get along and show a united front.

Here is to hoping that is possible.

Has anyone heard anything about the search today?

Here are the various MSM statements about Monday morning before MR left for his errands:

Mark said he tried to wake his son the next morning around 7:30 before leaving to run errands, but Dylan was fast asleep

Mark Redwine said he was going to give Dylan a ride to his friends’ house and tried to wake him up when he left Monday morning but said Dylan was “out like a light.”

http://www.durangoherald.com/articl...ement-says-missing-teenager-did-not-run-away-

The next morning, Dad says at about 7:30 AM, Dylan was still asleep there on the couch. He`d had a bed made up for him there. He said Dylan apparently wanted to sleep in, so dad left, went to go run some errands.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1212/03/ng.01.html

“He was sleeping on the couch, and I told him I had to go about my errands,” Mark Redwine said in a Sunday telephone interview. “He said, ‘OK, I understand.’ The focus for him was to go to his friend’s, but I live far back in the canyon.

AND the latest:

You know, I spent 45 minutes… an hour… trying to get Dylan to wake up and, you know, and helping him… saying, you know, “Dylan, I’m going down,” ‘cos he had talked to me about going to see his friend, Ryan …that morning, but he wasn’t having no part of it… which is not uncommon for him. I mean, you can’t get him to bed and you can’t get him up. Pretty much how it is when he’s not at school to deal with, which is most of the time when he’s up here, although he had a school bus stop right down the street, so he could ride the bus from the school up here if I was home, or he could ride it to his mom’s house, which was a thing of beauty because her and I didn’t have to deal with transporting him.

And then there was this:

“Before I left I nudged him on the shoulder and he acknowledged that he understood that I needed to leave and if he needed anything he would just call me..”

Just that the dogs (and of course their handlers) were suppose to get there around noon'ish. I haven't heard anything other than that. Wonder if they need or want to rest up and get a fresh start in morning?

And for all the blaming of MR for not being communicative, it says it right there, in the first few days/week of Dylan's disappearance, that MR was willing to meet with ER and she refused. Yet in that first week, she goes on national Tv and states that he won't return calls and texts. He asked for a sit down, a meeting with her. Yet she refused. So how come she gets to <modsnip> about no communication and it's justified???

MR says he was willing to meet with her. Do we know that to be true? Because he also says he is willing to take another poly, but that has not happened either.

Maybe LE is not interested in giving him another one...who knows? But I am not going to take his word for it. JMO

I wouldn't go on Dr. Phil with those two even if I were innocent - especially alone and without support and/or counsel. MR's doing so gives me the impression that he has nothing to hide and is, as he has always said, willing to put up with the array of unfounded accusations from misguided folks if it means getting the focus off of him and finding out who took Dylan.

Again, I personally wouldn't give the mob the satisfaction of thinking they successfully bullied me into going on the show. God only knows what they'll try after he goes on the show, maintains his composure - again, implores his innocence - again, states the same story - again, and relays it with substantial grief and concern - again.

Maybe they should throw him in the water next. If he floats he is guilty, if he sinks he is innocent.

By "the mob", and "they", are you referring to Dylan's family?

Re: giving them the satisfaction, etc., he shouldn't even care about something like that...he should be hoping it will bring some exposure to his missing son. After all, if he was abducted as MR seems to claim, then the most important thing is getting his face out there!!!!!!!! What an opportunity. I would do it just for the publicity for Dylan! Who cares about giving someone (Dylan's family?) the satisfaction....

What I want to know is where are all the kudos for MR agreeing to go on Dr. Phil??? There were so many negative comments about him not going on the show and several times desparaging things were said about him in relationship to him not going on the show, where is that "atta boy?" Are things so one sided and absolute that each time a clamor is raised for MR to do something, and it gets done, (like an interview or going on Dr. Phil) that when he does, there is not one word nice to say about it??? Ever?

Dr. Phil has the lead and I hope that is how he encourages the direction of the show to go in. I'm trying to think positive.

Oh I hope they will show a united front. I know the K-9 people met with the family, do we know if they all met at the same time or separately? That would be a huge step forward if they managed to meet all together.

Just from what I have seen I don't think either ER or MR will be able to restrain themselves. It will be a highly charged show and one wrong word from either of them and here we go.

I hope the good doc can keep them in control. When is the show? tia

I dont think Elaine will get out of hand.
I do think Cory will have alot of questions for dad!

How would you like to find out your son is missing by text message?

Good point.

Maybe the older son's appearance is to be a peace keeper of sorts. So far, Mark has agreed to do the show. If he appears and fully participates in the show, that will be good, because the most important part of this is everyone participating fully and cooperating with each other. Finding Dylan is far more important than anything else.

Funny that you should say that. I was just about to post that very thing, that I was happy that MR agreed to appear on the show this upcoming week. But before I could do so, I read the post saying that he had postponed it by one more week. So I decided to WAIT and see if it even happens at all. I guess I have my doubts still.

That would be a good question for Dr Phil to ask Mark. No matter how he answers, he done for. MOO.

I think I would be devastated regardless of how I learned about it. :waitasec:

People keep saying that the one good thing that will come from the show, no matter what, is that Dylan's face will be out there for even more people to see. Unfortunately, I'm afraid a lot of people will just be thinking, "No wonder the kid ran away!" if the family doesn't show more self-control and respect for each other than they have so far. MOO

What? It's not being taped next week?

I believe I read on their facebook page that they were going to actually start searching today. I hope the weather is ok.

Look at the stark contrast between these two versions of events.

I call BS on the latest version. Why would he describe the last time he saw his son alive, the way he did initially, when the real scenario was much different, according to his latest version.

There is a HUGE difference between " I TRIED to wake him but he was fast asleep/out like a light"

and

I gently nudged his shoulder, he acknowledged me, bla bla bla....
