Sorry!:what:

To me its a big deal

I understand and would of course be annoyed/frustrated, but what I'm trying to say is what can be done about it now?

ETA: In the grand scheme of this whole case, it seems insignificant.

ETA x2: I mean it's significant in that MR is an 🤬🤬🤬 and chose to text his ex-wife to see if she had heard from Dylan, but it's insignificant in that it's not going to help find him.

I wonder if Dr. Phil meets with them first, to determine if there is even a show there, or if that has already been determined, as well as what the tone and subject will be. I don't see an entire show, frankly, about the fact that Dylan is missing. That would take about one minute, and the showing of his photo. It will have to be more than that.

I think the various FB pages blasted several different shows in hopes of getting national media. It would take 2 seconds for his producers to decide this story would be ratings gold after reading the various pages. IMO

Just speculating here and not saying MR will ever end up charged and find himself in a court of law, but for those who are upset or can't understand why every detail, every minor inconsistency, every subtle change in the story and all the "unusual" behaviors/mannerisms, exhibited to date by MR, will all be exactly what a prosecutor puts before a jury.

I am pretty sure Dr. Phil's producers have done some homework and background research on this case. I have no doubt he and his producers are salivating to get this show in the can.

With all the discord between Dylan's parents, all the discord among the general public WS incuded over this case, I am pretty darn sure there is a show here to Dr. Phil's eye.

No offense to Dr. Phil fans but this kind of topic is his bread and butter.

ETA and I see mijimawi beat me to posting this thought. :)

We are supposed to give him kudos for going on a National TV show to get HIS SON'S name and face out there?

Is anyone giving Cory or Elaine kudos for doing it?

I was behind and trying to catch up thinking to my self this exact thing!

I'm also well aware that Dr. Phil's staff DOES do their homework and conducts thorough background research on a case such as this. :blushing:
I think many will be very surprised when the show airs! :seeya:

Well, then, the consensus is that the show will be worthy of Jerry Springer? I don't see how that will help find out what happened to Dylan. The distraction will be too great from the drama, IMO, for any viewer to come away with much clear memory of Dylan's photo. I think they would do better to try to get some national magazine to do a story. At least that is around for a while.

I have no background in LE, nor do I know anyone in LE. Do you think with the inconsistencies, LE would maybe bring him back in for another in-depth interview? Does the fact they haven't done this yet point to maybe they are satisfied with what he's told them already? I'm honestly curious. I obviously watch way too many ID shows, but it seems they will bring a POI back in to go over the story again, especially after learning of any inconsistencies.

People keep saying that the one good thing that will come from the show, no matter what, is that Dylan's face will be out there for even more people to see. Unfortunately, I'm afraid a lot of people will just be thinking, "No wonder the kid ran away!" if the family doesn't show more self-control and respect for each other than they have so far. MOO

I really really hope this isn't the case.

REDWINE: Well, his dad texted me at around, oh, 4:30. Maybe it was closer to 5:00 on Monday. And I texted him back. You know, it was like, Well, we should call the sheriff. So I went ahead and I actually called the sheriff that day. I don`t know if Mark had called the sheriff that day, either, but I called the sheriff right after I got the text from Mark.

It was a text no phone call

I think I would be devastated regardless of how I learned about it. :waitasec:

I would too. But I would expect that my ex, who was in charge of our child at the time he went missing, would have the decency to call me and discuss it with me, as opposed to texting me. I would have plenty of questions bubbling up and would want to TALK TO my ex, not read texts and send replies.

My only reply to your question is to suggest that it is very common for LE to let a suspect "talk". I think we all know that, but it works in many, many cases....

ETA: I should add that it is only my opinion, but I sincerely doubt we will see any movement in this case with regard to an arrest...any arrest...until a body is found. (and without saying, that is presuming there has been a death)

" ...La Plata County sheriffÂ’s officials said Monday the man might not realize he could be a potential witness who could help find Dylan Redwine. The man said he was looking at rental properties. He is described as Hispanic, between ages 45 and 50, about 5-feet-10-inches tall, and about 170 pounds."

A lot of people fit this description. I'm sure all the rental properties have been contacted...

If LE is throwing us this bone, I would like to think there is reason.

I watch Dr Phil often and to compare him to Jerry Springer is a joke. There is no way Dr Phil is going to let things get out of hand like that. I honestly believe there will be very little drama if at all.

One would think, but it has pretty much been discounted as MR being the tipster.

IF MR did something to Dylan, he has hidden him well, committed the perfect crime without A SINGLE SHRED OF PHYSICAL EVIDENCE.

For those of you who are inclined to believe MR is guilty of doing something to Dylan, I suggest the second step is moving on to how to prove it. Where is the body? There is a LONG TIME GAP until authorities were notified and a search was conducted. Dylan could be anywhere. I suggest thinking about these possible locations, and if you think of something good, notify LE.

I hope otto comes back. Otto does a really good job with maps and I would like to here more from Ransom since he/she knows the area so well.

eta: I believe Ransom helped search for Dylan also.

I never saw anything to suggest MR was the tipster? :waitasec: Do you have a something to base that on?

All I know is there is a huge "background" story on this particular tip and we are not allowed to discuss it here. LE is also aware.
