I don't have much faith in Dr. Phil. He didnt ask baby Lisa's parents any of the hard questions we all at websleuths hoped he would. He didnt seem to know a lot about the case. It was super disappointing.

Edited to add I do think anything on TV, magazine, news etc. is a good thing of course.

mark said he tried to wake his son the next morning around 7:30 before leaving to run errands, but dylan was fast asleep

http://www.durangoherald.com/article...s01&source=rss

look at the stark contrast between these two versions of events.

I call bs on the latest version. Why would he describe the last time he saw his son alive, the way he did initially, when the real scenario was much different, according to his latest version.

there is a huge difference between " i tried to wake him but he was fast asleep/out like a light"

and

i gently nudged his shoulder, he acknowledged me, bla bla bla....

huge!!!!!!

One would think, but it has pretty much been discounted as MR being the tipster.

And how do we know that? It might be, it might not be. A witness doesn't necessarily mean a suspect.

So, for everyone in the area, if you know of anyone who fits this description, ran out of gas, or was looking for a rental property, he might have witnessed something. Remember LE has probably been sorting through different footage, etc...We have no idea why they are releasing this information, I don't think?

I think it is important to know that Mark DID notify Elaine by text about Dylan being missing...or asking her if she knew where he was.....it is in the Nancy Grace interview.

It shows what type of person is he or isn't.

He taunted Elaine from day one....with his little snide remarks

Avoiding her and Cory - he should have meet with them upon arrival

Coming to the door hugging a pillow - whining he didn't have anyone or not answering the phone

Playing the victim or talking BS

Not to mention him bad-mouthing LE (I don't know why they didn't look at the lake sooner...I told them he took his fishing pole....why didn't they search my house sooner)

But the fact remains - he was the last person to see Dylan and he has a lot of "empty-space" time in his story.

Why doesn't he release his phone records and pings?

Why doesn't he prove he had nothing to do with Dylan's disappearance?

He doesn't sit right in my book; his past behaviors speak volumes

Why drag your ex-wives through 7-8 years of court? Why hid your kids from their mothers? He's a control freak with a bad temper and a lot of jealousy....and his only concern is himself and himself only. He has continued to try to hurt/punish Elaine probably since the day the marriage started to crumble.

So did he go to the attorney's Monday to file for custody or what? What ever reason he went there I bet it had something to do with "getting back at Elaine".

And yes, I will only believe he went on Dr. Phil when it is posted in MSM.

Sorry for the rant but we don't have much more information than we did on thread 1...JMO/MOO

Has a missing child (that wasn't a runaway or parental abduction) ever been found because of a national television show?

I'm hoping someone knows of a case so I can think more positive about this.

Don't know about Dr. Phil (and don't care to research it) but America's Most Wanted comes to mind...and the answer in that case is YES.

I never saw anything to suggest MR was the tipster? :waitasec: Do you have a something to base that on?

All I know is there is a huge "background" story on this particular tip and we are not allowed to discuss it here. LE is also aware.

JMO

Guess I've just been busted that I missed a few pages...trying to keep up guys! (If anyone can please be kind enough to send me an approx idea where the discussion of the witness lead starts so I understand the rules I would appreciate it... I get it, I think...but its AP, on the same link above that nurse posted (http://www.abqjournal.com/main/2013...ed-dr-phil-show-to-highlight-missing-boy.html)...

Ok, my brain and eyes are officially fried (reminds me of the all nighters here when Dylan first went missing...I can not believe we are here 3 months later...so sad.

I watch Dr Phil often and to compare him to Jerry Springer is a joke. There is no way Dr Phil is going to let things get out of hand like that. I honestly believe there will be very little drama if at all.

Well I hope so, but people seem to think it will be a drama. I don't know that I have ever watched the show really, just maybe bits and pieces.

There's likely to be some drama Clu, (look at the drama on this thread, :floorlaugh:) but it definitely can't be compared to Jerry Springer. I can hardly believe the Springer show is allowed on the air waves during the daytime PG hours. That show is sick. There is some attempt at decorum and decency on Dr. Phil and the staff does thoroughly research the background, history and social dynamics of everyone that is a guest.

I watch it often. No way will Dr Phil let it turn into a Jerry Springer episode. He keeps things very controlled.

I would think that someone offed him. By answering this question I'm not saying that I believe Mark is innocent. I'm still on the fence.

WOW, I hadn't thought of that ! Let's hope he doesn't go missing.

Funny that you should say that. I was just about to post that very thing, that I was happy that MR agreed to appear on the show this upcoming week. But before I could do so, I read the post saying that he had postponed it by one more week. So I decided to WAIT and see if it even happens at all. I guess I have my doubts still.

I missed something -- he postponed it another week? Why?

TIA

ETA - I see other posts now - sounds like it's still up in the air.

I know those that oppose this appearance believe that just because Dr. Phil is a celebrity, his show is going to be a "free for all" fight with MR just for "ratings", but seriously, Phil McGraw is still writing books and making guest appearances on other reputable tv programs. I would venture to say he doesn't want his reputation and/or credibility to be tarnished in some way. He depends on the public perception that he is reliable and fair. JMO

I think originally he said he could do it the 20th or the 27th. Then I thought it was guaranteed for the 20th and then someone said 20th or 21st. So I'm at a loss at the moment. I really thought it was a for sure thing on the 20th??

I agree the Bradley/Irwin interview didn't reveal much, but I wonder how much control Tacopina had over what was asked. I still wonder if MR will follow through. All MOO.

I think the various FB pages blasted several different shows in hopes of getting national media. It would take 2 seconds for his producers to decide this story would be ratings gold after reading the various pages. IMO

What makes you think the episode will be ratings gold? Or why do you think the producers think the episode will be ratings gold? Most people have never heard of this case, so why would there be a huge increase in viewers to hear what the family has to say? Even if people see the promos, and see people arguing, is that really going to bring in significantly more viewers than Dr. Phil normally gets? I really don't think the Dr. Phil show booked the family for "ratings gold" unlike say, George and Cindy Anthony, in which I think the producers fully expected to see a significant increase in ratings for their episode. I think the episode will be expected to bring in around the same # of viewers that Dr. Phil always does.

What I want to know is where are all the kudos for MR agreeing to go on Dr. Phil??? There were so many negative comments about him not going on the show and several times desparaging things were said about him in relationship to him not going on the show, where is that "atta boy?" Are things so one sided and absolute that each time a clamor is raised for MR to do something, and it gets done, (like an interview or going on Dr. Phil) that when he does, there is not one word nice to say about it??? Ever?

I think many people are waiting for him to "walk the walk" before giving any credit if it is due. The show has yet to be even taped.

This is so true. I know of about 10,000 on the FMDR fb page who know about Dylan and the handfull or two here. That is nowhere near millions. So even if some of the 10,000 plus handfulls here that normally wouldn't watch the show do, I don't think that's going to do much for their ratings.

I know nobody personally who has every heard of Dylan Redwine nor would they have any interest in watching the show.
