I think he is being watched most all of the time.

And he would also be aware of that fact I am sure . That is the problem with today's crimes is that everybody is a lot more savvy and aware of the traps and pitfalls .

And I know not everyone subscribes to the MR dunnit theory but I have wondered if his putting off Dr Phil was possible buying him some more time to move the body around to somewhere else?

I would think hes being watched.

Wow Guys - you really went off on each other at the end of the last thread.

I'm going to start issuing serious TOs. It's just silly and I'm tired of asking everyone to just alert the post and scroll on by and being ignored. There is just no reason to treat each other so disrespectfully. No reason. None. Nada. Zip. Zilch.

So.... I've borrowed Kimster's ray gun and I'm gonna start zapping......

Please continue here.

I have a question about that 9:37 pm text between Dylan and his friend......I thought I read somewhere that the text at that time was only an INCOMING text----from the friend to Dylan? The last actual text FROM Dylan was at approx. 8:01? Not sure.........

I spent many years in chat rooms , mostly politics and religion, UGH, I know. But these rooms were for debate. In order to have a good debate you cannot get angry and upset at the other debater , you have to come with facts and logic ! Also did anyone else in high school have one of those teachers who made you do papers, basically debating , that you had to present BOTH sides of an issue? You were forced to find facts to support the opposing view and it was a nightmare but you had to do it to get the A . The teacher would make you pick the topic you least liked or were most attached to one' side' so that you could see it from the other side. You can win a ' debate' without even enjoy, believing or supporting the view you are given to defend. Since we are at a standstill of information and we are doing little except sniping at each other, I would LOVINGLY :) suggest that we all make a real effort to view it from the opposing side. WE are all on Dylan's side, but so far all of our love for that little guy has not done much except upset us with each other and take potshots at his relatives. Sometimes when forcing yourself to ' support ' even if it's false , the opposing view , you might see that shiny needle in the haystack that is desperately needed to help Dylan !

I was on one side , really committed to that side too, and now I'm back on the fence at best, possibly teetering to the other side. None of us know where Dylan is. All we can do is guess and go by our ' gut instinct'. I have no gut instinct on this, no feelings at all, only sadness for everyone :( Since hopping back on the fence I think I am seeing things from a different angle ( taller fence? ) and things seem more clear.

Also its' really sad to see so much mention of the ' body' today :( :( :(
I don't want to believe there is a ' body' . There's a live little boy somewhere
about to be a man .

The lady reporter said she confirmed it was an ' outgoing' text from Dylan's phone. I don't know if that makes it ' fact' or not .

Melissa, who last interviewed MR and ER, checked directly with the Sheriff and was told directly that the 9:37 text was an outgoing text from Dylan on his cell phone. It was not disclosed to whom the text was addressed.

Obviously LE is well aware of the dogs now and I'm sure they are doing whatever they think needs to happen to support the search.

I still have these questions though:

Are these dogs better/differently trained than the ones LE used?
Did LE miss or refuse to take the dogs to areas that the family wanted searched? Why would they refuse?
Will these dogs trespass or have all owners of private property given permission to search? And if the owners would give this group permission, wouldn't they have given it to LE? Or are they only searching public lands and right of ways?
Is it that this private group will search more area? Why wouldn't LE do that?
Does the family not trust LE to do a thorough search with dogs?

Brought forward from the last thread.

You have to realize that LE does not have the resources to search and clear large area's day after day after day. They can only do so much.

I'm sure Wendy and her team have a legal contract for searching on private property and know to get owner permission.

It has nothing to do with which dogs are better or who the family trusts. LE WILL AND CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH. I think they have done their best. The dogs can only cover so much ground in a day and in bad weather it is less.

Was that a search today or recently?

Not sure if it was recently as in one week or so or if they were there in December. Def NOT from today or this weekend. Saw it referred to in a newsarticle when the K-9 visit was first announced.

As far as I'm concerned they could bring in 10 dog teams and they still couldn't cover the entire area. This is grueling work for both handlers and dogs. I think any offers of help should be appreciated.

It's better than doing nothing!!! And right now as far as I know there is nobody doing any searches of any kind. Why would anyone question Wendy and her dogs? It's help...and it's something. The same with Dr Phil. There are tons of missing persons families not being offered these same opportunities and would love to have them.

It is realistic at this stage to think Dylan is no longer with us . IMO

It has been over 3 months and Dylan has not been officially sighted since Walmart/McDonalds!

In such cases I would of thought statistics also said the same . There is not much hope in Dylan being found safe . Of course we all hope he is but its not realistic at this stage IMO .

I agree and its another thing that makes me think Mark knows what happened to Dylan . I think most family's would kill for such media exposure if there child was missing yet Mark is willing to wait until it suits him . No thought for Dylan and his plight . I can certainly see why Mark has children and does not have good relationships with them :cow:

I think that it's realistic for someone to believe that Dylan's dead. I also believe that it's realistic for someone to believe that he's alive since there's no evidence that he's dead. It's also realistic for someone to be undecided. In other words I feel that it's up to each individual to decide on how they feel. MOO.

I agree. It disturbs me so much to think that Mark is too busy to do the show on this date or that and there are so many families of missing that would give their right arm to be on that show.

I see it in a completely different light. I think that it is foolish to allow a personal tragedy to be used as Talking Head Entertainment. No talking head will ever solve a crime, and I've yet to see a talking head properly research a case such that the audience is left with a clear understanding of the facts.

Regarding the father, if he was going to stage the disappearance of his son, why wouldn't he at least stage the backpack at the house to prove that his son actually got there? Why would a father that is finally going to spend some time with his son make him vanish? Is there any factual reason for the father to want to make his son vanish from the face of the earth?

I understand that . I realize what is probable. But so much talk of Dylan and where he could be and what's happened to him has made me block the word' body ' from my mind . I just want the one in a million, miraculous ending !

Sorry , must respectfully disagree . It's not whether or not Dr Phil can solve the case. I think it's whether one of his viewers, a few counties or even states away , who has no idea about Dylan, may see the show and think, Holy cow, I saw that kid Or OMG my neighbor was such a weirdo when he came back from camping in that area OR something like that. It could happen. Is it probable ? Maybe not, but there are very few chances left to find out what happened IMHO

"The investigation is still active and continuing with several Investigators working on the case both on the phone and in the field almost daily," Bender said.

Article posted today. The bolded part makes me sad. They should be working daily not almost daily. IMO. Though I do understand that there are other cases that they also must take care of.
