It would be a good idea to bring the dogs into Marks home. It is probably totally innocent but the fact he has moved around furniture since Dylan vanished seems strange so it would be good to have Cadaver dogs in there for peace of mind..... :cow: :moo:

Okayyyyyy... here is an "out there" idea...

since MR, ER, and CR,agreed to today's K-9 Search...

then they probably agreed to the sights that would be searched...

since they agreed on area surrounding MR's house...then it really doesn't look like MR is involved in the disappearance..does it?

But...what if LE... At the same time ...,and using news of the K- 9 search as a deflector.. Is actually (under the radar) conducting another search,in an area they feel is a viable place?

Sounds contrived, I know...,but I remember this similar situation happening in another missing Gal's case in WA not too long ago...(Heischel maybe?)

Just some thoughts...

IDK Clue, supposing ER wanted the area around MR's house search and MR didnt' agree or disagree, but said nothing. It's public so he can't PREVENT a search there right? If I'm following you correctly, that is. tks

what i'd give to be a fly on the wall in the house when all the family get together to talk..

Whitney Heichel was found when Jonathan Holt, the man who killed her, told LE where to find her.

I thought one of the search teams found her at the same time he was confessing? Regardless, it was an amazing search effort.

I am so hopeful that this search produces some leads or evidence in the whereabouts of Dylan. Yet I am apprehensive of what they will find. I do not want them to find a body. I do not. I'm one of those people who believe that Dylan is alive. I pray every day he is.

If you believe he is alive, under what circumstances do you think we might come to know that? When he is 18? Just wondering, since I cannot figure out a motive to keep a teenager prisoner. There is no joy in raising them, that is for sure, as might be with a child. Especially one who is not yours or does not want to be there.

I'm confused about this too. If the father is simply keeping the child from his family, friends, school and normal activities, then Dylan has to be either chained up somewhere or in agreement with disappearing. That simply makes no sense.

This seemed like a hitch hiking abduction to me from the beginning. That's the one plausible explanation that makes sense for Dylan's disappearance.

I don't believe that Dylan took off hitchhiking that morning.

My logical mind tells me every data point strongly suggests this beautiful young boy has passed on. Even so, I agree with you. I think he's still alive. Let us pray with all our might that this unlikely outcome will become a reality.

Although he's quite young, he might have just run away on his own volition. I think his family life was very difficult. I know this seems highly unlikely, and it is. But not completely out of the question. I know someone who ran away at age 12 and didn't resurface until they were 20. They lived a very hard life on the streets, but they survived.

Dylan's family life was not very difficult. By all accounts, he was happy in school and had many friends. And police already ruled out the "run away" theory.

( The New Mexico organization will begin searching in the Bayfield area north of Durango and near Redwine father’s home, where the teen was last seen.

“We plan on staying out here for two weeks. If there isn't any luck at that time, then as the snow starts to go away we will come back again,” Kessinger said.)

I agree with you on this. I've strongly suspected that this was a non-familial abduction from the beginning, and that Dylan was taken from his home or the surroundings on Monday morning. Although, as more and more time passes, I feel less confident that Dylan will be found alive. I don't see why an abductor would hold onto a teenage boy for this long, I sadly think that whatever happened was all over on the Monday.

I'm still holding out hope for a miracle though. Hopefully something is turned up in the searches.

I don't either. And we have been discussing reasons why from the start: no communication in the morning with any of his friends.

Or with anyone period.

Why wouldn't he have been hitchhiking? He had hitch hiked in the past, he had friends within a 30-45 minute drive that he wanted to visit, he may not have known when his dad was coming home and he most likely knew that his dad wouldn't worry too much if he went out ... it makes perfect sense.

IIRC, the only reference to Dylan's hitchhiking came from his friends. It refers to one time only, when they were all together. Though hitchhiking is never a good idea, that situation would have provided some safety in numbers. Also, that reference does not say who they took a ride with. Total stranger or someone they knew. It seems as though the friends also said, Dylan would likely first call for a ride. I'm not speedy at finding links, but I will try if you want them.

Thanks. No need to look for links. Someone posted them on the weekend. It sounds like Dylan was known to hitch hike once with a group, but at that time it was his idea and he actively hitch hiked. I see no reason to assume that he didn't do it other times as well. It seems to me that as soon as someone discovers how easy it is to get around by hitch hiking, they're not going to just stop.

We know that Dylan wanted to get together with friends and I see no reason to exclude hitch hiking. It's the one thing that the parents do not want to accept, as it pretty much guarantees that Dylan is deceased, but it's also ... in my opinion ... a very likely scenario.
