His son isnt home and he is supposed to be!
He didnt ans his text messages from dad.
All your sons belongings are gone!

Something is wrong!

No, Dylan did not answer the text message. Dylan would not be the first one to not answer one, nor will he be the last one to do this.

I don't believe all his belongings were gone, and I would not be thinking my child was abducted. I would be like most parents and think my child had gone to visit a friend.

Your points are well taken, however I am removing the portion of the prior post where you stated, as fact, that MR did not cooperate because so far, that has not been proven by either LE or MSM.

I am not questioning your interpretation of the information, just questioning the way it is posted. We can't state facts without linking them.

Thanks dlc!

Salem

Just jumping off your post Salem.

This is one family that definately could of used the services organizations like KK, CUE, Laura Recovery. I know ER was informed of them. I am going to hope that they take time to contact them.

It would help this family navigate things.

This is not meant to criticize anyone's parenting methods. Some people helicopter parent, some give their children lots of freedom, and most probably fall somewhere in between. This isn't about what I consider the right or wrong approach, but rather about consistency. From MR's uncut interview:

All I need to know is that he’s safe and where he’s at, and how to get a hold of him, and it’s likely I’ll pop in on him -- Check to make sure he’s at where he says he’s at. Those things were important to me. You know… when he’s with me – it’s me and him, with the exception of his friends. You know… I know those are important to him, but … you know… I monitor what he does, where he’s at. You know… it’s just me and him. There’s not people coming and going in my life ‘cos everything I focus on is him and us being together spending that time.

This sounds like MR believes in keeping pretty close tabs on Dylan. I don't see his actions on Nov 19 as being consistent at all with what he's said here. For me, it's not about whether I would panic or be unconcerned in this situation, but rather how MR himself describes his parenting style. All MOO

If LE had found his scent out on the road, would they be saying one of the only two options they can think of is that something happened at the house? I am not sure. I guess it depends on how accurate they felt a scent to be.

If there had been urgency or questions regarding the validity of Dylan's scent, I believe that they would of requested additional scent items much sooner than the weekend.

One also must remember that the handlers/k9's must keep a log with respect to the dogs accuracy. I personally cannot see any handler, working without appropriate scent articles.

It would be a waste of their time as well as LE's.

Dylan vanished on his watch and the story that Mark has told has more holes in than a colander.

Dylan is missing and Elaine said what she felt .She was married to the man <modsnip> and she felt he could of Hurt Dylan . She did not do it for any other reason than fear .

This is not a tit for tat game here .

IMHO , MOO

I believe that if MR had planned this, he would of made sure to close some of those holes to cover his tracks.

can you please provide me with a link that says Dylan didn't reply to one text message

can I ask why you don't believe all his belongings were gone?

if your childs friends lived 20 miles away would you still assume they had gone to visit a friend?

For what its worth, here is my take on the rucksack.

He had a small rucksack when he got off the plane. It had his phone and charger in, and his ipod I think. It wasn't big enough to carry many clothes - it was the size of something a child takes to school - big enough to carry what is needed for the day.

That is what is missing - he only took with him what he would carry day to day, as far I as am aware.

Its not like a suitcase full of clothes was missing.

Have you got a link to the rucksack as I have never seen a photo of it to see how big it was . TYIA

You dont need a suitcase when your 13 yrs old a pair of jeans some tee shirts
sweatshirt shorts he wasnt going for a month. You might be surprised what one can fit in a backpack.

This kid just vanished along with his cellphone and his backpack full of clothes. There wasn't even a sock left behind

http://www.9news.com/dontmiss/313688/630/Blog-Where-is-Dylan-Redwine

depending on what clothes he took they might not have taken up a lot of room, eg shorts and tank tops pack down quite small. backpacks can be quite deceptive, you might not think they could hold a lot when really they can.

he didn't take a suitcase with him

Dylan must of had socks in the bag as Elaine is quoted as saying " nothing was left behind , not even a sock "

 • #1,034
So the it comes back to "why no note to explain" ? Or even better why no text to say " dad , I got a lift into town and don't worry " . It is just logical that this would of happened IMO

Logical to some perhaps - in the past 16 years neither of my sons has ever left me a note of any description. They might text if they ever bothered to charge up their darn phones I guess.

I wonder about the clothes left on the sofa described in the impromptu front door interview. Those clothes seem to have disappeared from the narrative. MR says he wouldn't be surprised if Dylan was wearing his clothes from the prior day so it must not have been those clothes. And what of the sweat pants taken along with the ipod and nerf ball when the search warrant was executed. Is that true and whose pants, Dylan's or MR?

Well this is interesting. If you go to Dr. Phil's website (http://www.drphil.com/) and click the "Wednesday" video "The Polygraph Drama", the video doesn't play for me, but underneath it has this blurb -

The Search for Dylan: The Polygraph Drama
The family of 14-year-old Dylan Redwine, who has been missing for three months, continues to search for answers. Dylan’s father, Mark, says he’s tired of having the finger pointed at him, and he’s willing to take a polygraph test to help clear his name. Will he take the test?

But then you have to take it all into account IMO

Mark on his way home texts Dylan and does not get a reply

Mark gets home and Dylan is not where he should be and he has not heard from Dylan!

All of Dyland belongings are gone as well

Dylan's friends are not local either as he lives miles away from town

In the security camera grab from the airport you can just see part of a rather low slung, not very full looking backpack that Dylan is wearing - it definitely doesn't look stuffed to the top or anything IMO. To my knowledge that is the only picture we have seen that shows at least part of the backpack.
