Someone who was at the show posted that she believes Mark was lying, and said if it was her son, she would not be hating my ex-wife and defending myself on national TV.

-----

If he doesn't go on the show, he doesn't care about his son, and he is guilty. If he does go on the show, he is just there to defend himself. But if he is being accused of a crime, what is he suppose to do?

Based on the posts I've seen from audience members, plus how happy the family and friends who went to the taping seem to be about it, I am 98% sure that the show revolves around Elaine, Cory, and the other brother accusing Mark of being involved. And I am pretty certain that Dr. Phil took their side, too.

I thought I read somewhere... that he usually tapes 2 shows in one day?
Anyone recall seeing that

LOL not a 5 day-a-week-kinda-guy

Yes, it's true:

What is your taping schedule?
Dr. Phil generally tapes two shows a day on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Arrival times are between 8:00-8:15 a.m. Audience members will enjoy back-to-back shows and be out at approximately 1:00 p.m.
The show generally tapes from the end of August through mid-December, and then from January through early May, excluding holidays.

Another audience member says that they were told that Dr. Phil did a one-on-one with Mark "after we exited".

Is this on the news or were you there at the site of the show talking to audience members?

I'd like to go back for a minute to child support and who pays what to whom. I read here within the past week or so that Elaine was paying Mark child support until she moved to Colorado Springs. It's the first time I heard that one. Before it was always Mark disappeared Dylan so he wouldn't have to pay Elaine child support any more. Now it's Mark disappeared Dylan because he wasn't getting child support any more.

So was Elaine giving Mark child support and if so, link please, cuz I honestly never heard of this til last week. TIA.

I do recall reading that she was paying him child support, which IMO seems a little odd if Dylan wasn't staying with MR that much, but who knows. Caveat: I don't have much experience with child support, so below is just me speculating based on what little I do know and what seems logical to me.

Just a thought on a possible scenario: assuming that it's true she was paying him support, maybe prior to moving custody was legally 50/50, and she makes more money (if she does), so she had to pay child support. Normally I think if it turns out that one parent chooses not to take the child 50% of the time, the other parent could go back to court and a judge could adjust the support accordingly, but maybe she left it alone instead of going through through more court stuff. Once she moved and got full custody, she'd have Dylan 100% of the time (or 90% or however that works), so MR would then have to pay her child support. IF this is even close to what happened/was happening, MR would be both losing child support from ER AND having to start paying support to her. Again I have no clue if this applies, just a thought on a possibility.

That said if MR is involved IMO I doubt the motive was financial. Nothing would surprise me anymore though.

ETA: oops Deoneta and I were posting at the same time. Deoneta thanks for the useful info just a few posts upthread! So sounds like my possibility above doesn't really apply.

I still can't figure out why he agreed to do it unless it was to shut them all up, but then he should have realized that wasn't going to happened based on everything else he's done that they wanted him to do didn't shut them up. IMO, JMO

Did the Anthonys get a 2-part episode on Dr. Phil?

I believe this is highly unusual for his show.
I looked up "Dr. Phil part 2" on google and there were several returns: The Anthonys; Is my child a star?; Teenage wasteland; and a three parter for a child molestation case.

What is he supposed to do? He could say "I am so sorry this happened on my watch." or he could say "I don't blame you for being angry at me since he disappeared while I was responsible for him." or he could say " I kick myself every day for not making him get up and go with me." Any of those would make me more amiable to him, anyway. JMO

I can't figure it out either. If I abducted/harmed my child, I sure as hell ain't gonna go on Dr. Phil. For someone who supposedly so easily snapped because his kid was texting/wanted to see friends, it just boggles the mind he would purposely put himself in that position. Having 3 people pointing fingers at me PLUS Dr. Phil's "wit" would send me right over the edge.

Maybe he went on because:
He didn't do it and thought he could show it
He did do it and wanted to act like he didn't
He doesn't care whether anyone believes he did it or didn't do it, he's taking any shot at getting his son back.

Those are three reasons I can come up with right now.

Maybe he agreed to do it...to get Dylan's name out there

It's confirmed on the FMDR page the show will air Tue and Wed. Dr Phil has a polygrapher whom does the test on the spot so I don't see why they couldn't have immediate results. I don't know how long they usually take. But I've seen many one part episodes where polygraph results are given at the end of the show. With editing who knows what takes place when though. I'm sure Dr Phil offered a polygraph to MR and he certainly could have declined if he wanted to.

I'm assuming there are many here that won't be watching it. I for one, can't wait.

Maybe Mark got a chance to say something along those lines on the show.

He has said some of those things, or something similar, but I haven't noticed that it made any difference. MOO

When CR posted, he was still in LA so maybe MR was still there too and had his one on one with Dr. Phil.

I'm totally watching. :rocker:

Yes. Dr Phil also paid them $600,000 to be on his show. It hit the fan when that came out, so then Dr. Phil said he donated to the Anthony Foundation.

ETA: I do NOT recommend anyone watch this. lol
