Isn't that pretty typical though? I know I react a lot differently at first with some things than my hubby does when it concerns one of our kids. I tend to panic and he doesn't.

Even though it does seem odd that he waited that long to report Dylan missing to LE, I would bet he is not the only father who has done this, and probably not the last. Men pride themselves on staying calm, while they expect their womenfolk to fall apart.

Elaine sure didn't fall apart, she immediately took action.

BTW my husband is appalled at MR, especially his taking a nap, delaying the Dr. Phil show, etc. He said, he "would be physically searching everyday." No doubt he would, he searched 10 days for our dog that my sister was taking care of 40 minutes away after the dog went missing while we were on vacation. He traveled, searched & found the dog who was almost on death's door. Mark did search once though.

Do we know that Mark and Elaine did not talk to each other on the phone at all? I've listened to the Dr Phil clip a few times now but the comment about not speaking to each other is nonspecific as to timeframe.

The reason I ask is because if I was told that my son was missing, my first reaction would be, well did you check here and here? did you talk to these kids? do you have so and so's phone number? Ok - I'll call X and Y and you see if you can find the phone number for A, B, and C.

That communication could have happened, and I'm sure Elaine did make all those kinds of calls herself on her way down in the car and we just don't know about it.

I am sure it was her instinct kicking in because of her history with Mark and some underlying/subconscious concern about Dylan's visit. I am not saying this to be negative.

I am wondering what information was actually exchanged between Mark and Elaine on Monday, that caused Elaine to have such a strong reaction.

I don't think Mark would/could answer his phone. I don't think he would answer calls from Cory, either. The whole communication thing has been off since the start. I never understood why they didn't meet up (either at LE or Mark's house or somewhere....) I know there was an early article where it said Mark would not answer his cell or house phone....

I thought it was said on Dr. Phil they haven't "spoken" in 3 years????

Mark was sitting at home in case Dylan called. :banghead:

OT but relevant. I just shared a missing boy's pic on f b with a friend in the same area . My friend responded immediately with ' DID you know him'? Past tense . This boy's been missing only 1.5 days and I doubt my friend thinks he is dead , but just said it.

Since so much of what we discuss is pure speculation and opinion. Tuesday and Wednesday I plan to follow along on the forum and read posts of persons that are watching the DP show.

But, I am also recording the show and afterwards I am going to watch the recording and see how much of the show agrees with what has been posted. We are so varied in our backgrounds and obviously how we interpret and view the very same things that I just want to personally put it to the test. I think it will intersting to see if we can all agree on the show and what comes from it. jmo

Where is the info that Elaine and Mark haven't spoken for 3 years/since 2009 coming from please? I'd like to read about it. Thank you

I think it's SPOKEN voice over style in the promo for the Phil show this week. I've thought a lot about it too. It explains why MR Txt her about DR on that monday because they're not ' allowed' to speak on the phone to each other ....... :what: ...........or they both know they cannot speak without starting a fight so just moved it over to texting 3 years ago. It's really disgusting to think of any 2 parents with so much venom for each other they cannot even make plans for a child's visits without fighting so they txt only . Shame !

I just listened to the one on Dr Phil's official channel on youtube, and the one on his website, each one twice, and I don't hear it. Can you please give me a link to the video you're hearing it in?

Thanks.

Sadly I believe Dylan is in the Lake!
I think something was seen on sonar but because LE cant get to him right now they remain silent till they can get to him.

I also think that fishing pole WAS Dylans.
Just to convenient to have a fishing pole lying there if ya ask me.
And I dont think LE needs MR to take anpther poly because they have all the info they need.

time will tell!

I thought it was on the Dr. Phil promo
but
in trying to listen
it says Dylan has been missing over 3 months
and that Mark and Elaine hasn't spoken

So I may have read it somewhere else....:blushing::blushing:

Melissa Blasius:
Do you blame yourself, too, a little bit?

Mark Redwine:
I… normally wouldn’t, but I do… I do blame myself. I relive this 1,000 times, and every time, it comes back to… I seen him laying on the couch and I didn’t try hard enough maybe to wake him up, to have him come with me, knowing that he had talked about going to spend time with his friends, and letting him sleep what he does so many times before…I beat myself up over that constantly. But that’s not… that’s not helping me… and it’s not helping Dylan.

From Melissa Blasius Interview Uncut w/ Mark Redwine available in Media/Timeline
What exactly does he mean by...Normally I wouldn't He is suggesting this is a normal event.Very odd .

Guess it's just another one of those "quirky" speech patterns he has...kind of like when he thought Elaine was "making too much of the situation" or something like that. :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:

Yes, and I believe of all the links provided, the last link may be the only one from LE which says 6:00 p.m.

Others are reporter statements perhaps as a result of information provided to them by ???? (to the best of my recollection).

I realize MR stated something about there being confusion on what time he actually went to Marshall's office, but since there has been nothing formally stated in MSM by LE what time he showed up at Marshall's office, I have nothing further to provide to back up MR's statements other than the links shown.

If I'm not mistaken, MR himself said he texted ER from the Marshall's office.
