I didnt either!

This is just my thoughts on this, but it bothers me that the media has emphasized that this visit was court-ordered. ANY visitation agreement is court-ordered. All that means is that when the judge allows the other parent to have visitation, the schedule is worked out between the parents and their lawyers and the judge signs off on it. Maybe not to one or the other parents' liking but judges prefer the child to have at least some time with the other parent, they don't like cutting off all contact between them.
The point is, whether the parents or their lawyers agree or disagree, the judge has the final say. The way this is presented in the media makes it almost sound like Elaine was trying to keep him from seeing Dylan at all, and the mean old judge forced Dylan to visit him anyway. I doubt that is even close to the truth, but I really don't know, it's JMO.
The reporter's phone ringing inside Mark's house where he deems the signal to be spotty doesn't say anything to me. I think reception depends on the carrier. Inside my house I get a lovely signal on my cell phone, yet my sister has to walk out to the top of the driveway to get any signal at all. Different carriers.
Dylan's friend's comment about Dylan's propensity to show up randomly speaks volumes to me of the possibility that Dylan came to shortly after Mark left the home and decided to head out instead of waiting for his dad to return. ("show up randomly" also says to me "without calling first.") I sure wouldn't embark on a 20 mile journey walking or hitching or whatever without checking that there was someone at my destination expecting me, but I am not 13. It has been said many times here, and it's my own personal experience that we can't expect a 13 year old to make sense always.
I love that age group and think their unpredictability is part of their charm. One minute they are wise as Solomon and in the next breath they are clueless as a puppy. It's just the way they're wired.
Depends on your TV plan.
My kids that are Dylan's age or older would watch all of those except NickJr. They love Power Rangers, even the 15yo. They also love Avatar, Legend of Korra, and so many more. The Nick channel thing didn't strike me as odd at all.
I agree - almost every report has mentioned "court ordered" visitation, which immediately sounds like Dylan didn't want to go, or was being forced by the courts to spend time with his dad.
I think they keep saying Court Ordered because it was.
It wasnt a situation where they were on good enuff terms to send the kids unless they had to.
Like if Mark calld Elaine and said hey I have BB tickets this weekend can I take Dylan along and Elaine says SURE! Let me ask Dylan!

MR wanted D there that week and hadnt even made any plans!
Red flag to me!
What do we need to do to get the same info from LaPlata to see the SW served? Do we just need to call and cite the FOIA?
or after elaine was granted permission to take dylan to colorado springs and physical custody, the courts sorted the recommended visitation schedule as a matter of course. And it makes sense that long weekends or holiday periods would be the target times to be divided up between the parents. :moo:
When I say convince me, I mean make the facts we have fit. I've heard so many times it's a no brainer that Mark did it. I'm just asking to show me that way. If it's such a no brainer, then address the facts as we know them. Until that time comes, don't call me out for thinking otherwise.
But ya know what bothers me CatW he didnt even bother to call him before this trip.
Hey Im so glad you comming i cant wait to see you is there anything special you would like to do anywhere you want to go?
NOTHING!

do you have a link for that?
This is the second time I've seen this parental alienation theory come up. There's no evidence of ER poisoning the minds of her children against MR. Parental alienation has already been thrown out there in regard to BOTH of MR's exes. More poor Mark. All MOO
With all due respect... Charge him with what? They don't know yet what crime has been committed. There is no proof that Dylan is dead.
IMO, they need a lot more evidence than the phone being off. If that last text at 9:37 was sent from another location besides Mark's house, then I think we would have heard about it. Why would they mention that but not mention if it had been sent from somewhere he was not supposed to be at that time?
