I feel like from the beginning MR was trying to lead LE to Dylan, but he wasn't expecting it to take this long. I think someone else may have mentioned this as well. I believe he expected him to be discovered in the lake and that everyone would think it was an accident. I hate even thinking that precious boy is in the lake but my heart tells me he is and always has from the beginning of this case. I hope my instincts are very wrong. :-(

If so, child support stops, and any life insurance is paid. I'm sorry to say, but I agree with you.

I am still waiting for proof that Mark actually had all these Nickelodeon channels. Does anyone know what TV/Internet service is for Mark's area?
-----

Also, I know some people have said they only have basic cable, yet get all the Nickelodeon channels. How many channels do you have in all? How do you pay the cheapest cable option...yet still have 3-4 Nickelodeon channels?

He may have a separate providers for internet and t.v. We have DirecTv and I used to get the internet through them, but they kept cutting us off, so I contacted an independent dealer and now get it through WildBlue directly. We have two satellite dishes in our back yard.

I doubt if he has cable out that far, but possible. We only live two miles from the city limit but there is no cable service, so we're on DirecTV. We have the basic plus plan, one step above basic. I don't know if that makes a difference or not but we get a whole bunch of Nick channels that we never watch. As well as about 20 shopping channels and 150 other channels we don't care about. Everybody ends up paying for hundreds of channels they don't need. It would be nice if you could pick and choose which ones you want and just be charged for what you actually watch.

Unless mark is that arrogant I can't see why he would of incriminated himself by mentioning them spots . Unless he thinks it will come across as a tragic accident when Dylan is found as the body would of been though so much in the last 3 months ... Horrible even thinking this .. All MOO

Hopefully, if it is Dylan ,the cold temperatures may help to preserve evidence.

I agree. If he was telling them all along where to find Dyan, and he was the one who put him there, then he is dumber than a box of rocks. He couldn't be sure that they wouldn't find him back then, so why would he be incriminating himself?

And funny... way back then people were saying he mentioned the lake to throw LE off from where he actually did leave him.

I just do not see anything significant or troubling or odd that DR might have been watching nickelodeon at any time. My teens often stop there when flipping through channels. They might say ' oh look it's drake and josh, i havent' seen this in soooo long' or something like that. This is especially so if they are lazy, lounging and not really paying attention LIKE if they were falling asleep OR just waking up and not really paying attention to what's on, but want something to see while they collect themselves up for the day. My almost 15 yr old can switch from MTV to spongebob and not bat an eye, so I just don't know that it means either parent is lying or wrong or misinformed. Teenagers are fickle and their tastes and attention spans can change in an instant ! There are lots of girls about DR's age starring in those nick type shows and DR might have thought one was cute and stopped to watch her for a minute ! mooooooooo

You're right, and how would Elaine be aware of everything he watches, does she monitor everything he does 24/7? She was wrong about a couple of other things as well, IMO.

Considering the choice of t.v. programming in the mornings, though, I'm pretty sure a 13 year old would prefer to watch a kid's show rather than Good Morning America or The View or some rerun of dumb shows from the night before. Daytime t.v. where I live is just pretty boring. I rarely turn it on until 5 p.m. or later.

My husband will flip over to cartoons on Sat. morning and watch them sometimes. He gets a kick out of kid shows, too. If the roadrunner is on, he'll laugh his socks off.

If there are human remains and being in the water they may have moved around due to currents, etc.. Would this not cause the dogs to alert in different places?

I'm, not positive but I would think that the moving water would move any decomp scent along with the body. MOO.

Did the search dogs in the most recent search for Dylan hit on the lake again? These dogs are trained to only alert for human remains, is that correct? Also, can we assume that when investigators searched MR's home they used luminol to look for blood? Sorry if this was already covered, and thanks for your help.

Edit!

I am confused about the scent and it's movement. I always wish I could walk the area in these cases so I could get my own feel of what may have happened. I doubt it would make any difference but I still wish I could do it.

Looking at the land on google maps just doesn't cut it for me.

The shallow water shown in the picks of the dogs was not frozen. I wonder how high the water was in that river/creek that flows from MR's to the lake around the time of Dylan's disappearance to now and how high the water is where it flows into the lake. What is the current like?

Also, you can pull off of 501 into a parking lot right in that area and it would put you right at where the river enters the lake.

I wonder if the dogs will be back in the area searching today. If the outcome is that Dylan is deceased, I wish that they would be able to find him outside of the water. I know that's unlikely, but I worry that if he is in the lake he will never be found. I want to see where all the dogs hit in that area.

Right now all I care about is finding Dylan. I'm so sick of the other drama.

Yeah , I was one of the posters who thought it might be a red herring but there has now been quite a few hits at that lake and so I am starting to fear the worse .

I think MR wants him found. I think he wants this over and done with. I believe that he thought he would have been found sooner and yes IMO he hoped everyone would see this as a teenager that just wandered off and had a "tragic accident."
I really do believe MR has been giving clues all along. (I still don't believe what ever happened to Dylan was intentional though.)
ALL MOO...

No. That was waaaaaay earlier. Dec. 8th search (big search by LE). "Something" of interest was found on/around Mushroom lane/rd. I was there searching and had no clue what was being "reported here". When I read here, is when I read about "something found" called into LE to pick up/mark it.

I remember that, no one said what it was

I totally agree. I think MR thought Dr would be found before winter set in. I think he's telling us where he can be found, and trying to make it look like an accident. He'll hold out on this plan till DR is found. Unless Dr Phil can get through to him.

I *think* she is saying they got hits around the river area, so they tightened up the search on that area, and was just describing where this area is which sounded like they actually moved to a different area. I think the hits were all in the same area.
currents under the ice with the rivers would move anything in the water around.

There's a new post on the official website. The dogs think there's a cadaver under the ice in the lake. The issue is how to recover the body. How agonizing this has to be for family. I hope they get an answer quickly. They say they are not giving up hope until they have proof because there are homeless people in the area and the body could be one of them.
