"I know that you have seen Dr. Phil by now," read the page. "I thank you for watching. It wasn't pretty but it never is when children are missing. But we have made ground and that is all that matters. No matter what you believe please keep believing in dylan. Thank you all and let's all stay hopeful in finding dylan. Love Elaine."

In the last week alone, the page grew by nearly 10,000 likes.

I cannot fault the Dr. Phil show in any way, shape or form, for how and what was presented about MR.
I know there aren't very many folks who have participated in a forensic interview/evaluation, but I've had the experience (from a 2-way window, video recorded) on more occasions than I care to remember. One thing I can assure you, they don't happen over the course of an hour. The initial interview often lasts 2-3 hours, followed by several additional interviews lasting a similar length of time.
Anyone who expects, or expected more from a television show is deluding themselves. JMO

The next one to post about Facebook rumors is getting a time out. There is no reason we should be warning about this problem day after day after day. The mods are spread thin and we don't have time for this again and again.

I am dyslexic and so I'm slightly confused (which is not difficult granted)

Is it 'Brush or Bush'?

Coz I'm scratching my head at this new development and it does not make sense to me .

I think is what LE meant about the hits being inconclusive:

"Although this latest clue, this hit on the east side of Vallecito Lake could be anything - investigators hope some light will be shed on this case and that it will lead them to Dylan.

The La Plata County Sheriff's Office says they've searched the east side of the lake with divers and sonar in the past and weren't able to find anything."

it does seem that way...poor reporting (or bad hearing on my part...LOL)

it's confusing...

I agree. Probably poor reporting. The interview they showed with LE was from 2 weeks ago, acc to the video. The new hits were this week. Also, this same article says "Mark Redwine told CBS4 two weeks ago he was responsible for bringing in the latest search team, which includes K-9s."

It wouldn't have been hard for this reporter to contact FOB, the news station that first ran the K9 Forensics offer and put them together with the family, to fact check this. Or even to search online for available articles about the K9 Forensics offer.

East Mtns group reaches out to Redwine family

Redwine family reaches out to KOB 4

We featured an East Mountain search and rescue team offering their services free-of-charge.

The message made its way to Redwine's mother, Elaine, and her fiance, Mike Hall.

"Elaine and I watched that together and we're just so grateful that people like her are willing to help and so I reached out to KOB to put me in contact with her," said Hall.

KOB 4 helped make the link between Dylan's mother and Kessinger.

(If iirc, the offer was also posted on FMDR.)

Do you have a link quoting MR saying he did not go to the camp ground and ask about Dylan? I may have missed this link. tia

No, I don't; I said "I was wondering IF Mark"..... I do remember in one of his live videos (probably the uncut 9 news) that he acknowledged the guy being there.

I know LE said something about all SO being checked.

I am in the process of packing for vacation, so I may not have time to go back and look at the video.

Like I said, wondered if he did?

Just seems like the easiest thing in the world to prove - find the boys that were walking on the road. I felt that Elaine did not know their identities or she would have had a stronger argument than "unconfirmed." Don't you think she would smack that down with everything she had? It is the ONLY tip that's been publicized that puts Dylan alive after the Walmart/McDonalds stops and Mark brought it to the Dr. Phil show. I just think that Cory would have had those names in his back pocket to throw in Mark's face, if those names were known.

So does LE know the names and hasn't told the family? I cannot think of a LE strategy that would require those names to be unknown to the family (not saying the public needs them at all)Ambiguities.

BBM - LE would not give the names of the children, if identified, to the parents. They (the boys) would have no bearing on the case (Dylan) at all. If it was mistaken identification by the postal worker, can you imagine the hounding that these children would get from media and family and strangers?

What I find odd, and it just came to me today. You have a postal worker that delivers in the area, perhaps for years. They tend to get to know the people on their route (heck I talk to mine all the time at work and it's been years) I'm sure the turnover of postal workers isn't that spectacular in that area so they would tend to learn who is who around there.

She knows, believes, suspects, that she saw Mark's son Dylan and another boy walking.
How is it that Dylan is easily remembered, almost specifically, but nothing about the other boy? Why wasn't it I saw Mark's son and that Masterson boy (just making the name up) walking down the road.

It's always been two boys and one looked like Mark's son Dylan.

I'm also certain that if she did tell LE who the other boy was, they were all over that kid as soon as possible.
All IMO and imagination

Isn't it sad when people have to discuss how best to "manipulate" the father of a missing child into answering questions and doing the right things? No wonder many think Mark's involved.

Sorry, Kimster.

Sorry, Kimster.

It's okay. I do NOT hold grudges and as long as no one posts about these rumors again, it will be completely forgotten. We just need to be mindful of the rules and the mods are here to make sure the rules are followed. It's not personal. We love you guys! :grouphug:

Same here Kimster. I misunderstood the TOS. My apologies.

I do apologise if my post seemed antagonising in any way shape or form. That was not my intention at all.

My post was also with all due respect to the judge presiding over the family court case of the Redwines.

I guess it stuck in my brain because I am sure i heard in the MB interview of EH her say something to the affect of "the records are sealed. I don't know why they were sealed by the court but they were"

Full credit to you Irish Eyes and your courage to stand up for women and children who have suffered at the hands of abusers. I have always believed that children should be the number one priority in any situation. I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience at the hands of the court system. I sincerely hope you and your child have been able to move forward from that.

I didn't take you as antagonizing at all. I thought your question was a valid one. Before it happened to me, I didn't know there WAS a child protection crisis in family court. Sometimes people think well she must be lying if she says there was violence or abuse because if that was the case the court would never allow unsupervised visitation. What I hoped WSers would take away from our exchange is that you can't make that assumption because frequently that's exactly what happens.

I find it interesting that Elaine is quoted as saying the custody records were sealed and that she doesn't know why. (Anyone got a link for that? I'd love to read it.) In most states divorce and custody proceedings are not sealed in domestic/divorce court (they are sealed routinely in juvenile court, where cases between unmarried parents are litigated.) Usually when they are sealed it is on a motion from one or both parties, in which case, I imagine she would have known the reason why. It makes me wonder if the records are in fact sealed WHEN they were sealed. If they were sealed after Dylan went missing and without either party requesting it, I would question what is in those records that the court does not want the media to see.

I wish more questions would have been asked on the show. Especially since this was the first time ER and MR have spoken since Dylan disappeared. I would like to have heard details from MR concerning Sunday night and Monday morning. I'm not sure LE has shared any details with ER. I think she would have many questions.

What did MR and Dylan talk about in the car? What did they eat at McDonalds? Did MR see Dylan's charger or see his phone charging? Did MR and Dylan argue that night? Did LE take the cereal bowl as evidence? What did Dylan do when they first arrived at MR's? Where did Dylan put his backpack when he got to the house? What kind of conversations took place that evening?

Just my opinion...

These are the types of things I was expecting to be discussed on Dr. Phil.

Maybe she did not recognize the other person. There were lots of visitors to the area at that time. We have been talking about that since Day 1. It could have been someone from the campground, etc.

That's not what I was expect from Dr. Phil, because LE has already done that and have stated MR is not a poi or suspect.

I was expecting ER to have a list of questions that she wanted answered and I was sadly mistaken.

Wouldn't DP and the expert have discussed with MR whether he was on any anti-depressants, etc. before making arrangements for the test?

Catching up here, but again ... my mention of medication was not in reference to MR's performance on a poly. It was regarding the outcry over his lack of emotion while on stage and during the DP show and any other interview he has done - which has apparently been a "red flag" for many because he hasn't broken down in tears or acted in some expected manner.

It is also said when an alcoholic says they had 3 beers most likely they're only telling half the story. You can usually double the amount they claimed to have drank. 3 beers most likely would be 6 or more. 1 pint of JB or a half pint could easily be 2 pints. Just sayin...

Having family members in the medical field I was SHOCKED to hear that when they ask you "how much alcohol do you drink / how often" "how many cigarettes do you smoke per day" they automatically assume it's more because so many people lie about it. IMO people tend to minimize their consumption of anything that others perceive as harmful or negative.

11/28/12 “There’s a combination of factors,” Bender said. “There’s been the passage of time without any sightings; Dylan was not a visitor but had friends here; he has a history of staying in contact with his family and friends; and there’s been nothing on his cellphone record since he was reported missing.” (IBM)http://www.durangoherald.com/article/20121128/NEWS01/121129612#sthash.CwvEVNRs.dpuf

1/31/13 Dylan Redwine Task Force investigators said they searched miles of countryside and interviewed hundreds of people, but developments in the case have now dwindled. They have no named suspects and no confirmed sightings of Dylan. http://www.durangoherald.com/articl...-to-benefit-search-for-missing-Dylan-Redwine#

2/03/13 “We have no new leads or new information to report to the public at this time,” Shupe said in a news release Monday afternoon.

Possible sightings of Dylan have streamed in from across the country, he said, but there have been no confirmed sightings since he went missing Nov. 19. The FBI has been helpful at prodding agencies in other jurisdictions to follow up on possible leads, Shupe said.

2/07/13 Law enforcement officials have received sighting reports from throughout the country. Those tips haven’t yielded any results yet, however. http://catalystnewspaper.com/2012/1...mber-still-missing-after-more-than-two-weeks/

I know this post made it into the Dr Phil thread, but I'm not sure if it's in this one. Adding here since that thread is now closed. (It's in Media Thread now as well.) :)
