With respect, I have to take exception to this. I have a very good friend who is quite intelligent, but when he gets excited or worried, he stutters. Terribly. He begins to look as if he is incapable to saying anything intelligent at all. Granted, this man would be searching squirrel dens if that's what it took if his son was missing, but some people just stutter.

I think I should have said he stammers not stutters. He dosent know what to say and his words get jumbled. Tongue tied works too.

I've been gone from WS for awhile. Did anyone find a FB for Mark? I don't have FB, so :dunno:. If so, wonder if he's friends with Olson/RMI, for example.

There are some new pages that have been started recently, one from today even.
I don't feel sorry for MR, but IMO, life is not going to be easy for him.

Catching up and sorry if this was already responded to.
Yes I did confront him with T's story and now we have version #3 he went to T's and nobody was there, then he went to N's, then the police than back to T's and somebody was there.
I found his wording in his answer to you interesting - he "attempted" to go to T's. Could be nothing but seems quite typical of his way of not actually just saying something, but kind of talking around it.

I missed this post by azgrandma. This is unbelievable. He's got a new answer for everything. Whenever he's caught up in an inconsistency he comes up with a new and improved version. The old "that's what I said but not what I meant" defense.

So when did he claim to go back to T's? Did he go back home after speaking with someone at the closed Marshall's office? Did he call the Sheriff from home? Did he drive into Durango and go into the Sheriff's office?

So many questions...so many convoluted MR answers. :banghead:

I just watched that portion again this morning of the Phil show . MR's tone changed quite a bit when he says to corey 'you're being very disrespectful right now' ( paraphrasing) . It made me think that tone was used over and over with the kids when they were bad perhaps and that tone usually got results like ' yes sir' ' sorry dad' , etc. But at some point in the sentence MR realizes a ) im on national tv b ) coreys' an adult C ) corey's not afraid of me anymore. I may be reading way too much into it but that's my take, my jmo , my moo moo. He raises his voice and even leans forward a bit, if i remember, as if it's time to put this boy in his place for talking to me like that..........then OOPS......

There were a couple instances during the DP show that had me ask "If this is how you talk to and treat your kids in front of a captive audience, how do you talk to and treat them when it's just you and them?" Definitely raised my eyebrows.

I totally missed that part.

True, but I have a good feeling about this - I know, its all in my feeling, nothing else :blushing:

Really wish we still had the forensic astrology thread

IMO MOO

I wish we still had the forensic astrology thread, too. Without it, the rest of us are getting nowhere fast.

LOL It wasn't said on the DP show, I was saying that I asked that question while watching the show.

Thanks, I was intent on looking him square in the eye. Also, he kept interrupting me and that is so rude! I told him twice to stop interrupting me and DP also told him.

Would you say he was angry with you because you challenged him? I didn't see him interrupt you, so I assume that part was on the cutting room floor? Did he display anger in front of the studio audience that we were not privileged to see? If you are uncomfortable discussing this, I completely understand...just wondering how much the studio audience got to see that the rest of us did not see.

BBM - well in version #3 he said he went there before going to N's house and then again after the police station.

Previously in version #1 he said he went to T's house and T had not seen DR
Previously in version #2 he said he went to T's house and nobody was home so he thought DR might be at the lake because his fishing pole was gone.

I'm waiting for version #4 where he stopped at T's house and they had a drink.

That explains the smart aleck "to respond to that, IF I MAY". It made him sound very petulant when he said that, and knowing why now, he sounds even more petulant.

I wonder if he really took a nap, or went anyplace near T's. My question is did anyone see MR at all, that afternoon, before he went to the sheriff or LE later on? He may have had five hours free that afternoon to do so, cleaning, driving, etc. before reporting Dylan "missing" after showing his face in town.

If he is guilty, of course.

You know…when he’s with me – it’s me and him, with the exception of his friends. You know…You know… it’s just me and him. There’s not people coming and going in my life ‘cos everything I focus on is him and us being together spending that time.
Blasius

Karen (MR’s ex girlfriend)
Yes. I uhh…traveled to Mark’s home. Spent a week with him and Dylan
link

Hm. It's just me and him; there's not people coming and going vs inviting his girlfriend to come visit from out of state during a Dylan visit.

And what is the "there's not people coming and going" about anyway? This was in response to:

Melissa Blasius:
Umm… what were your plans for Thanksgiving?

Is he trying to put down the large family gathering Elaine's family was having? Elaine certainly wasn't having people coming and going from her life. She's back with her first husband.

Or has there been concern in the past about who Mark has over while Dylan's there?

The mail lady should have seen him...or at least his truck in the driveway.

ETA: He also shortened his nap to about an hour so what was he doing for the other 2hrs?

I'm starting to think that it may not be a good idea to get involved in this case. First Dylan goes missing, then the PI investigating his disappearance seems to have gone missing, and now I keep hearing that nobody has seen MR since DP's show. I think I'll just keep my opinions to myself! :shush:

Does anyone have a link to where MR initially claimed to have spoken to T? I have seen this mentioned often but don't recall it myself.

IMO after the first few minutes of all parties being onstage (during the DP show) the tone overall had been set. It was pretty obvious who was in the hotseat, so I am surprised that anyone would find it strange that MR would be uncomfortable, or not responding in a calm manner. IIRC everyone on stage had their angry moments where they leaned forward in their seats, raised their voices, expressed anger etc - including DP.

I have been wondering if the google map showing the distance between MR's and T's house was prepared in advance ready to support ER's assertions of 6 miles? Or maybe editing had removed a portion during taping where the map was googled on the spot and brought up during the conversation - is that the case azgrandma?

IMO editing can distort the full picture on these shows - but boy do they cut away for enough commercials and show promos!! I tend to watch all my favourite tv shows online these days, and I forgot what tv advertising was like. The advertising on those DP episodes seemed over the top to me - I did get a laugh out of the beer battered fish taco one though :)

I'm thinking LE must love having these interviews to go over (and they said they'd watch Dr Phil for any info that could be gleaned for the investigation - paraphrased, linked previously).

There's just a wealth of contradiction in them, IMO.

All I need to know is that he’s safe and where he’s at, and how to get a hold of him, and it’s likely I’ll pop in on him -- Check to make sure he’s at where he says he’s at. Those things were important to me.

Mark Redwine: Yeah, “Dylan I’m leaving to go down to town and run my errands, if you need anything call me … call me when you get up… if there’s anything you need.” Never heard from him. I’ve sent him text messages, you know… asking him, “hey, Dude, are you up yet?” … you know, “Call me”… “Is there anything you need?”...

Melissa Blasius:
Did you rush back at all, did you think, like, well, that’s weird, I haven’t heard from Dylan…or anything…

Mark Redwine:
Nah...

Mark Redwine:
Well, when I got home and he wasn’t here I didn’t think much of it at the time, because it’s not unlike him to go wandering off. He’ll walk down to the river across the street or you know he might go up into the campground where he can be next to the river up there. I didn’t think a whole lot of it.

And, I had laid down and took a nap...

As I was going down to Bayfield to check with R, who I found at his friend F’s house, and as soon as I went to F…’cos I don’t know where all of them live –- but I knew a couple of ‘em live -- enough to get pointed in the right direction.

when I got down to the Marshall’s Office or to his friend R’s house or F…anyway... when I ran across his friends

Blasius interview

I need to know where Dylan's at vs Dylan wanders off.
I'll pop in to make sure where he's at vs I only know where a couple of his friends live.
I need to know he's safe and where he's at vs didn't think a lot of it and took a nap.
I went to F's house, I went to R's house, I mean F's, anyway...???

Moo

Missed one:

I monitor what he does, where he’s at.

Monitoring vs napping.

About MR going to T's house and talking to him, I haven't found a direct quote, but I believe I heard it which means it could be on video. I can't listen at the moment, but here is an indirect quote.

Mark said he tried texting Dylan all afternoon in an area with spotty cellphone service. When he didn't hear anything back by late afternoon, he went to Dylan's friend's house in Vallecito. That friend hadn't seen him.

Mark became alarmed and drove the 20 miles to Bayfield. Dylan's friends there hadn't seen him either. Mark called Elaine Redwine and went to the Bayfield Marshal's Office.

Nice catch! I was thinking during PHIL that it was just one hour? But then I got distracted with all the other and never thought of it again.
