I think the recipient of the 9:37 text was T. And I don't think it was sent by Dylan.

  • #622
I think that last text was in reply to ryans.
Probably a simple OK

Ryan: (Time 9:27 p.m. Nov. 18) Call me when you get here too.

I don't. I think R would have shown it if it was.

But we do have confirmation that Elaine said Dylan was just not into fishing!!
Can anybody really see him going fishing when he was to meet his friends?

From this MSM article, Dylan went fishing with Cory, enjoyed water and camping. It appears Dylan did enjoy the outdoors. Probably more with Cory than his dad. In my opinion, it might not appear feasible Dylan went fishing, but not completely out of the realm of possibilities. Even if it is a 1% chance. To examine the fishing aspect does not mean we have to exclude MR. Not even close!

Snip-

But he prefers being outside throwing the ball to watching it on TV. He likes to snowboard, roller skate and wrestle with his brother and loves anything water-related – from water rides at the amusement park to camping trips by the river.

Many of the things Dylan loves are the same as his brother, Cory, their mother said.

The two would spend a lot of time throwing the football outside and are known to stay up late playing video games. Dylan looks up to his 21-year-old brother, Elaine said.

They went fishing together, but Dylan would quickly become bored and start skipping rocks or swimming in the lake instead. He wouldn’t just grab a fishing pole and head to the lake by himself, his mother said.

Possibly!

but they are at the same time what are the odds?

LE could have taken that one off and didnt want it mentioned.

I just think it was to R

I don't think Dylan's phone ever received R's 9:27 text because the phone was destroyed by then. JMHO

The theory with the pole is - Dylan gets up sometime after Mark left, ate breakfast while watching tv, cannot or does not contact any of his friends, grabs a pole that he may not know how to use, without a coat and goes fishing...where? To the river? That seems more reasonable than that he walked 5.9 miles to the dam. Hm.

What if the 9:37 text was to a friend and they arranged to go fishing in the morning while Mark ran his errands? And what if Dylan agreed to meet the friend along the road then walk with him to an unknown fishing spot? And someone came by and kept Dylan from getting there.

Things that might have happened: Dylan didn't get a chance to tell Mark before he went up to bed. Dylan didn't get up because he knew he was going to meet his friend and mumbled something to his dad. Dylan was not upset or in a hurry to contact the Bayfield friends because he was excited to see this friend too and knew he was going in to Bayfield in the afternoon.

BBM - wouldn't that friend have told LE that they were scheduled to meet and DR never showed up?

If it was destroyed by then there would be no pings and MR would probably be in custody by now because he says Dylan was texting or playing games on the couch after that time. So as I see it that phone had too still be pinging JMO

Yes, of course he would. And the theory that this post is in response to is the exact theory that I think MR wants people to believe. And this is the reason why I suspect that MR sent the 9:37 message to this friend (after the fact) IF he did indeed harm Dylan.

MR has 4 05 5 diff answers for every question asked!

  • #631
It's based on a real person, who has to remain unnamed until LE says differently. MOO

I'd say you've as good as named the person. What would their motive be? Destroying their best friends heart, life and soul?

I dont think dylan sent that last text himself either

Good point, but I disagree that MR would probably be in custody by now if that were the case. I think LE needs a little more than proof that MR lied, to bring charges of murder against him. Did MR specifically say that Dylan was texting ON HIS PHONE? I can't remember. We know that Dylan did indeed have an iPod touch with texting capabilities so all MR would have to do is say (to explain the lack of phone pings) 'I don't know if he was on his phone or iPod'. He was holding a device in his hand and I assumed he was texting his friends.

I do believe however that every lie or inconsistency by MR that LE catches adds to their case.

Maybe he did ! Maybe that friend is a witness to some HINK!

I wonder where he left his truck when he was away working. If he took it, or it was otherwise not visible, it seems as though there would be plenty of opportunities for a house thief, since he was gone a lot. Again, for me, a huge coincidence if a thief happened by just at that particular time when Dylan was there alone, not expected to be there. Etc.

This is something I had thought of too, a thief. Then I have to take in consideration the lack of phone communication the night before and ALL of Dylan's backpack contents missing. Hard to put two and two together.

MR has not told us whether his door was unlocked, but he did make a comment in an MSM article that it was an area where most people did not lock their doors.

It's a fair theory to start, for sure. But on the other hand she was too far away to do that. Then again, she could have gotten someone else to do it. However, if she had why would she be so upset and make such a big deal about it, because then she would be violating a court ordered visitation and that would put her in a bad light. Of course, she could make Mark look bad, but she already had full custody.

The cons far outweigh the pros on that theory, IMO. She was already sitting in the best seat in the house. (figuratively speaking, of course)

I agree. I believe there is NO WAY ER is guilty because:

ER loved Dylan too much;

She had clearly moved on with her life and Dylan was a great part of it;

By all accounts she is sane;

If ER was going to take someone out I don't think Dylan would have been the one, if you catch my drift;

Whether anyone agrees or approves or not ER's language and behavior show a loving, caring mother whose heart has been broken in 2.

I could go on and on but the above are just a few reasons why I KNOW ER had nothing to do with it. :pullhair:

Why didnt Mark make plans.
He has known he was coming for quite a long time the ticket was bought what July?
Even proves to me he didnt even call his son and say hey what would you like to do over the holiday? Lets make some plans.

I think he hadnt seen nor spoken to him since he left in Sept.
How can you expect a warm loving son to get off the airplane if you dont call him

Sorry Dylan should have never had to go there IMO

  • #638
Maybe he did ! Maybe that friend is a witness to some HINK!

But then wouldn't LE be telling us something to the effect that, Dylan was heading to meet a friend and never showed up? Why would they (LE) for three months not say that?

IMO typically when a child goes missing, they give information on their last whereabouts, i.e. Jane Doe left home and was headed to meet her friend Sally Smith so they could walk to school.

Let's say T, the kid who lives the closest, got that last text.
DR says come in the morning at 6 and my dad 'll take us down to
R's house together. T shows up at 6 , witnesses some super HINK
and goes back to his car and tells his dad or whoever drove him
and said I saw / heard x y z in the window. Maybe it's not super HINK
enough to call the cops until later ..... when they realize D is missing.
Maybe MR didn't know that DR had txt T and asked him to come by and get
a ride so MR has no clue T was ever at the house that morning or saw
anything. Maybe that's why all DR's friends other than T have been vocal
and public. Hmmmm
This is a straw grasp, I realize !
